Zeke looked at Alex and Jakiel, and then he let it go. "Yeah. Come on in."
Jakiel nodded his head and climbed in on the same side at Alex.

"So um..do you guys any extra cups?" Alex asked his eyes avoiding Zeke's eyes.. Terry nodded. "Yeah. We got extra in case we dropped one on the ground or in the spring." He said and grabbed the two extra cups for Jakiel and Alex. He then poured them some Sake. "I hope yo two enjoy." he said with a smile.

Zeke looked at Alex briefly, before helping Terry pass the cups. "So, um...what brought you two out here? Us? I won some tickets to this place."
Jakiel took one cup and sipped from it. "I come up here for research and to gather materials. If you're interested in what I research, you two are free to come by my father's lab."
Zeke narrowed his eyes. "And what kind of research would that be?" He knew the answer, but wondered if Jakiel would admit it.
Jakiel smiled. "Well, I'm obsessed with zombies. My father was the first to create one, and now, I plan to perfect the technique for zombification! The world's first, civilized zombie is my goal!"
Zeke choked on his sake, but only because he was laughing so hard. "You seriously admitted that!? You're really straight-forward, aren't you?"
Jakiel narrowed his eyes. "'To be a true scientist, one must be willing to stand behind their research no matter what the world thinks and who laughs at you.' That was the first lesson my father taught me and I still stand by it." He blinked. "Also, I noticed that it works well when dealing with the ways of the world as well."

Terry was impressed at Jakiel. He never knew anybody(besides his science teacher) that was a scientist. Not to mention the other mad Zombies. 'that's really interesting." Terry said and sipped his sake.
"It is.' Alex said with a nod." I actually had to talk him out of making a zombie of himself." Alex said as he drank some of his sake.

Zeke nodded his head. "Ah. So you're one of those scientist, huh? And it took Alex to convince you not to turn yourself into a zombie? Why'd you want to do a thing like that anyway?"
Jakiel stared at his cup before downing all of it. "I wanted to prove my theory to the world. My theory...that not all zombies are mindless monsters. Naturally, everyone will have bias due to the films of the past. Thankfully, my family have my back."
Zeke sipped from his cup. "Ah, that's good. So, your parents support your obsession with zombification?"
Jakiel smirked and nodded his head. "Yeah. Actually, my dad started it. My mom got very sick while pregnant with me. So dad turned her into a zombie out of desperation using his theorized formula. It worked. Mom lived and she's...mentally sound. And recently, in order to find a way for a zombie's body to not rot and look as human as possible, he became one himself. Now I'm the only 'live' member of the family."
Zeke choked on his drink again, but this time, it was out of shock. "Wait, so your family are all zombies? How are you living so peacefully then!?"
Jakiel sighed. "We don't. Since day one, my life has been nothing but a fight. I just...live on." He looked at Alex. "But now, with Alex at my side, things are definitely easier to bear."

Alex smiled lightly and held Jakiels hand. 'you know Zeke, I guess we really weren't meant for each other. I mean...just think about us being together. It was long distance..you would never be able to protect me.' Alex said and took a sip of his sake. Terry stayed silent.

Zeke was about to finish off his drink when Alex spoke. He fell silent and stared at his reflection in the cup. "... ...Hm. I suppose it was for the better."
Jakiel sighed and closed his eyes. "Alex, you remind me of a story my father once told me. In the end, no matter what happened, good or bad, some coffins you are better off not opening twice." He then looked up at the stars. "...Heh. Though, the same could be said for me. 'Those who play God...' and all that. But really, I'm not trying to be 'God', only God can do that. I'm just...trying to find a way of curing diseases without sacrifices." He looked at Zeke and Terry. "Hm...I just had a brilliant idea. Around these parts are lots of plants that are vital for making the serum that induces zombification. I heard that, a creature indigenous to the area went extinct over a century ago. But recently, there are rumors of a 'ghost' of that creature in the area." He got an excited smile. "I want to go find it. Care to tag along? Oh, don't worry about getting bit. If you became a zombie through the serum or the plants, it won't transfer. Only viral and biochemical zombies do that. These are vegetarian zombies: plant-eaters. Ain't that a riot?"

Alex laughed lightly. 'That is pretty funny.Plant eaters." He drank the est of his sake with a smile. It does sound like a like a lot of fun." Alex said smiling.
"It does sound fun." Terry agreed. "Do you want to go?" Terry asked Zeke.

Zeke looked at Terry. "Well, I won't lie and say I'm not interested, but..what if it's a viral zombie after all?" He asked, looking at Jakiel.
Jakiel snorted. "The serum for that was made half a century ago by my great-grandfather! I assure you, if it's viral, I'll take care of you getting you your antidote in time." His eyes were serious.
Zeke chuckled. "Then, I see there's nothing to worry about then. I'm in."
Jakiel smiled. "Alright! So now we have our 'Excursion Team'!!!" He pumped a fist to the stars. "And like this, I'm one step closer to finding the ultimate cure!!!"

"Awesome." Terry said as he got out of the water. He wrapped his towel around himself to dry off. "I'm gonna change into some warmer clothes. A bit cool out here." Terry said shivering lightly.
"It is." Alex said as he got out too. 'At least we don't live at the equator where it's hot all the time."

Zeke looked at Terry. "Hm? Yeah, we have been here a while." He looked at Alex and Jakiel. "How about we play a game of ping-pong before going to sleep?"
"Ping...pong?" Jakiel asked in an incredulous tone. He'd never been invited to play before, always too busy with experiments. "Sure."

"It's a lot of fun." Alex said smiling. "And we can that one plant tomorrow when it's much warmer. What do you say?" Alex asked Jakiel.
"Ping pong is a lot of fun." Terry said smiling. [[actually hate the game. lol]]

{I hate it too. But I like it better than volleyball.}
Zeke shrugged. "Well, it's really up to Jakiel, right? He's the expert on this. Though, if it's warmer, it'd be easier for us to stand, wouldn't it?"
Jakiel nodded. "Great, I look forward to it, and atmospheric temperature won't have any effect on the research I want to do on it." He answered.

Jakiel nodded. "Yeah. There's one in the rec room. Though, it's rarely used by young people anymore. They don't want to come out to such a place anymore..."
As Zeke changed into a kimono (the place is traditional), he thought about the ping-pong game that was about to happen. Today, I put the past behidn me. I'll just play this game as if we're simple acquaintances. Though...things are anything but simple.
