Hayden grinned down at Misa, his hand hovered over her head, "Well your the only person I know as short as my sister."

Dropping his hand back to his side Hayden tilted his head, he was certain something was bothering her but she was acting reserved so he didn't want to press the matter though he felt it right to answer her question, "I just don't like seeing ladies upset and how you rushed away from that other gentleman. Well it didn't translate to well to me, but I assume you must of been busy with Court duties. If I'm distracting you, I apologize, please don't let me keep you."

"Showing off or not, it was impressive work, Astin." He replied, sliding his glasses up again like he always did. It was a lame habit he had, but... he really couldn't do anything about it. However, when she asked to see his ice maze... didn't she hate frozen things? It stopped the flow of running water, the 'life' of it, so to speak. "Well... I guess. Follow me." Tai leisurely walked outside to where the large maze was located and shook his hands for (lame) dramatic effect. "Tada~! The ice maze I had to build as a last minute thing."
















Ken nodded and accepted his gift, gently unwrapping it. On the inside was a Zippo lighter... custom made. First detail he noticed was the engraving of his name in an exotic looking, yet, extremely cool. The second detail he noticed was the steel blue coloring, rather than the usual steel silver color, or black he got. He took out his old lighter and pitched it, while he lit his new one that Trey got him. When he lit it, he created a white flame, followed by a blue, then the normal orange flame it let off. He flicked the lighter shut and put it into his pocket. Again, his voice tripped him up. "Th... th-tha..." He took a small breath, then let it all out, "Thanksforthelighter."


"Alright then, Aurelia." He got up, following her example. He then held his arm out, with a fake british accent, "Well then, whatever the British say for girls here, shall we go and dance?" Then he quickly changed his voice, "Oh, and after we dance, would you like to participate in my dance off? The rewards one hundred dollars."

After hearing Hayden's answer Misa looked down towards her toes nodding quietly, before she looked back up at the blond haired boy.

" Ah, yes. He gave me the creeps actually." She mumbled quietly, confiding in Astin's twin. " Kept calling me beautiful and other such nonsense." She said giving a rather weak laugh.

In truth though, Misa was beginning to feel rather depressed. It happened sometimes when she remembered her mother, and when she was in a down mood she didn't like to be around anyone. She hated for people to see her that way, so she tried to put on a happy face for everyone else's benefit. Snap out of it! Her conscience demanded. It's the holidays! Be happy! And in response Misa sighed, before glancing up into Hayden's sapphire blue eyes.

" No, you're not bothering me at all." The Ace said to the Jack rather quietly. " But seeing as you're Court too, would you like to walk through the maze on patrol with me?" She felt a bit odd asking Hayden to go on a walk with her since she hardly knew him, but he seemed nice enough, and it seemed that Naoya was a no show anyway so a stroll through the ice maze couldn't hurt.

Now that Morrigan was busy Mandy smiled, she had a plan in store for Astin and Tai. With the smile still plastered across her face she slowly walked towards Misa and Hayden. Dipping into a bow she stopped smiling, her face now showing pain and sorrow. “Oh Hayden...” She muttered softly as she placed her hand on his forearm. “Your sister, she’s... She is in trouble!” She exclaimed looking up at him tears brimming in her eyes. “That horrible teacher, the water teacher, Tai I believe it was. He brought her into the ice maze; he is going to do things to her. Unspeakable things, he tried to... do things to me.”

Closing her eyes she sighed softly her lips trembling, the tears now falling freely from her eyes. “He lured me to his dorm room; he told me that he wanted to train me in the watery arts. However...” looking into Hayden’s eyes she began to sob even louder. “Hayden, save your sister before it is too late please!”

Patting Hayden’s arm Mandy slowly walked away. Stopping she turned to look at him and smiled. “Hayden, please save your sister before something bad happens to her.” Turning back towards the door she left with haste. The night was drawing on, and she still had two gifts to give. Now, since she knew these people she knew where they would be, the roof!

With great haste Mandy made it to the door to the roof, both her heels snapping in the run there. With a sigh she edged the door open slowly. Looking out into the blackness of the night she sighed again. “Aurelia, Riku are you two out there?” She called her voice soft but she knew if they were there they would hear her. “I’m coming up onto the roof now; I hope you two are both decent.” Slowly she pushed the door open and stepped onto the roof.

Riku was in front of the door right as Mandy appeared in front of it. "Oh, Mandy..." He faked a sigh of relief, "For a second there I thought you were an angry teacher." He then remembered his linked arm with Aurelia's and begun trying to hide it. Some people still saw him as the Black Knight Rook... wouldn't that be bad for Aurelia's reputation. "You need something? We were just about to head back to the dance."


Ken looked at Trey quizically. She wanted to talk to him about something, obviously. Perhaps it was about Jay and his suicide attempts, and eventual death. Perhaps it was something else, regardless, she had something important to say. "Lead the way." He replied in his monotone voice. Although the voiced words begged to have an emotion attatched to them. What emotion, he didn't know, they just wanted to have one. That's all he could figure out.

Trey smiled brightly as she took his hand, leading him outside away from the rest of the group. She really didn't know where to go, but she found herself in the snow covered garden.. This was where he had first opened up to her, where she realized she wanted to be there for him no matter what.

She let go of his hands, taking a few steps forward. She wasn't ready to face him yet... So her words slowly began to form from her lips.. "Thank you.. Thank you for coming here with me tonight, Ken. I almost didn't come. But remembering..Remembering that I asked you, well it wouldn't of been polite for me to of just ditched."

A sigh passed her lips as she began to rub her arms up and down, forming a slightly warming friction. "The truth is.. I understand if you don't have any feelings for me, honestly I do.. But I can't lie to myself anymore. Ken, I like you a lot. More then I want to, but no matter how hard I try to stay away from you... I can't.. "

A small laugh passed her lips as she looked up to the moon.. "That was what the whole fight was about between me and... And Jay.. " she stopped for a moment, remembering the whole incident like it happened yesterday. "He said I was stupid for having any sort of feelings for you. Told me that you was nothing more then a monster even.. "

It was at this point she turned to face him, her arms still crossed over her chest, "but you aren't a monster.. I know that. It's just a front, because you don't want to get close to people. I understand where you come from, seriously I do! " she sighed as she turned away once more.. "Ken.. I think I love you.." the last part was a whisper as she lowered her gaze, listening the the dead silence. Waiting for a approval, or rejection. Fearing the worse; making her somewhat queasy.

Morrigan giggled as they headed into the maze. She felt her heart race as she ran through the twists and turns with Lunaru, what was it he had to show her? She almost felt her heart leap out of her chest from anxiety. She stopped a moment, looking around. Had they already passed this point before? This was the silly thing about mazes, they always tricked you. "I'm not scared anymore. Luna.." she said in a tone never used before. Her voice was actually quiet melodic. It would put a normal person in a trance just listening to her.
