(just gonna do a time skip to nighttime for them all so we don't have to waist time with twenty posts of them just geting where they need to be.)

It didn't take long at all for the female dragon to reach the peak. The challenge however, lay ahead. The snow was very deep on the mountain's peak, and if Lakayna wasn't careful she could easily cause an avalanche.
God, I don't want that to happen, she thought to herself.

She landed carefully on the peak and began to dig into the snow. In places where there was ice, she would slowly melt it with a very small stream of fire from her mouth before continuing to dig. The task was long and tedious. Still, even as night began to loom, she didn't give up. It would still be a couple hours before the cold would really begin to bother her.

While Lakayna dug, she wondered about her friends. She was sure they'd made it to the destinations that they'd chosen to go to. Lakayna just hoped they'd all made it without getting frostbite, or something worse.

Shaking her mind free of the thought, the dragon continued to did, until she found a narrow crack under the inches of ice. It went deep, probably even leading into the very heart of the mountain itself. Lakayna scraped away the ice around the crack with her claws, suddenly wanting more than ever to discover the secrets that lay deep within.

She got her wish; the ground beneath her; as she was right over the crack; gave way, sending Lakayna tubling down into the depths of the mountain. She landed hard on her back when she finally reached the bottom. It knocked the wind out of her, but otherwise she was unharmed.

Rolling over onto her front and pushing herself to her feet, Lakayna found herself standing within a very large underground chamber that had been naturally carved out in the mountain. Looking around, the young dragon spotted what looked like a sword stuck in stone and crystal atop a pedastal at the very back of the chamber, with torches burning on either side. Something was holding onto the sword; what looked like two different claws, one holding the hilt and one holding near the middle of the blade as a disembodied tail wrapped around the rest of the sword below the claw on the hilt.

It looked like something had been broken from it as Lakayna walked forward a few steps.
"That's it!" she said to herself with realization, "That's one of the halves!"

Lakayna was about to go claim her prize, but she was stopped dead in her tracks. A swarm or Heartless native to the Land of Dragons arose from the mand shadows. Lakayna looked around as the inched towards her.
"Oh..crap..." she said in a less than thrilled voice.

Sora grinned and led Kairi down the hill and towards the Emperial City. It was nearly night time before they found Mulan's farm. Looking around, he still wasn't too sure since he had never actually visited the female warrior's home, but from what other people had told him, this was the place. "Come on," he said, holding Kairi's hand as they walked through the garden and up to the front door, knocking on it loudly. "Hello! Mulan? It's me, Sora!" he said loudly, hoping that she would hear him.

When they reached the cave, Hikari watched Axel, Namine and Riku rest inside it, Axel summoned one of his chakarams and set it on fire in the middle of the room, filling it with comforting heat. "You guys go ahead and rest. I'll take the first watch," she said, turning around and exiting the cave. It was then when she just took a step outside the mouth of the cave when Hikari grimaced, clutching her chest. She found it. But how did I know? she thought to herself. She then heard a voice in her head that was all too familiar. It was telling her to do something, which she didn't want to do but no longer felt in control of herself. Standing up straight, she flew a hand into the air, summoning the Heartless around Lakayna. Retrieve the artifact. The dragon must not claim it for herself. she ordered the Heartless as they swarmed around the dragon.

Naminé cast a glance at Kairi when the princess told Sora she'd go with him and she gave the redhead an encouraging smile. The teen knew how Kairi felt about Sora and she was pleased Kairi was so happy to be going with him. Though she was jealous because the Princess got to get out of this blasted, freezing cold air. When Kairi hugged her, Naminé returned the gesture. "See you soon, alright? And take care of yourself. We don't know if the Darkness has returned or not..."

That said, Kairi waved to the rest of the group and left with Sora. A few minutes before this, Riku had began walking towards the cave Hikari knew of, the group following him and leaving Naminé a bit behind. The petite blonde rushed across the snow to catch up with them and the group walked silently towards their destination. Soon, they made it to the cave and the petite blonde hurried into the cave. It was chilly in here as well, but Axel had summoned his weapons and called upon his element, and soon the temperature rose to a much more comfortable climate. "Thanks, Axel," Naminé said gratefully to her fellow Nobody.

Hikari said that she'd take first watch, and Naminé looked over towards the silver haired girl, offering a shy smile. Then Hikari was gone from sight. Sighing, Naminé walked over to the wall of the cave and sat down, resting with her back against it. Her body gave a few more shivers though they weren't as violent as before. She let her eyes slide closed, exhaustion threatening to pull her under into sleep but she didn't do so just quite yet.

Mulan had been behind her house, finishing her daily chores. She'd just finished feeding her great horse, Kahn and her dog, Little Brother was at her heels. A sudden knocking noise echoed from the house back to her back yard and Mulan made her way through her garden and over the little bridge as she moved to the main house. A familiar voice called out, faint, but still there. A grin broke out on the female warrior's face as she rushed inside, her parents giving her strange looks as she ran straight to the door.

Grasping the handle, Mulan threw the door wide open and found herself gazing down upon the figure of one of her very good friends. Though the boy had grown and his voice was a bit deeper, it was still him. "Sora!" She cried happily, throwing her arms around the younger boy as she hugged him tight. Letting him go, she pulled back and peered at him. "What are you doing here? Something's not wrong, is it? How can I help?" She asked the boy question after question, hoping he was just here to visit but also highly doubting it. It'd been a long time since she'd seen him.

It was then that she noticed he wasn't alone. There was pretty redhead girl around his age beside him. "Oh, hello!" Mulan said in surprise, positive she'd never seen this girl before. As was traditional, Mulan bowed a bit towards the new girl before straightening up and smiling. "I'm Mulan," she introduced herself with a grin. "Before you answer my questions, come in. Both of you. It's getting late outside," the warrior said as she moved, waving a hand for the others to pass her and enter her house. Little brother began to hop up and down, barking in small yips, his tail wagging.

Sora grinned at the appearance of his old friend. Hugging her back briefly, he looked at her. "Hey, Mulan! This is my friend, Kairi. It's good to see you again," he told her. "Thanks, but we really can't stay long. One of our friends needs help and we were hoping that Mushu was still here. Do you know where he is?" he asked.

"Did someone just say that they needed my help?!" a voice rang near the Fa Family's private temple. A small red dragon hurried towards them, recognizing Sora immediately. "Sora! Where have you been all this time? Guess you need my help once again, huh? I knew that you would go comin' back sooner or later. Come on, Mulan, pack your bags and get ol' crickey! We're going to--! Er, where are we going again?" he asked, looking at Sora curiously.

Sora smiled. "The Snowy Mountains."

Mushu grinned. "The Snowy Mountains!" Mushu's expression suddenly went from overjoyed to shocked. "The Snowy Mountains?! Now why would you want to go out there? I haven't been up there since you were here last. I ain't going back up there, it's too cold!" he said, folding his arms and turned away from them.

"But Mushu! Our friend's in trouble!" Sora pleaded.

So the girl's name was Kairi. "Nice to meet you," she said as she gave the girl a smile. Mulan sighed when Sora stated his thanks but they really couldn't stay long. The boy never seemed to be able to stay in one place for too long, there was always something that seemed to call him away. When he said that one of his friends needed help, Mulan couldn't help but sigh again. "I knew something was going on," she muttered under her breath, before thinking about his question. Mushu? Hmmm... her guardian was probably at the Private temple. The young woman opened her mouth to reply but Mushu's voice suddenly rang out and the little dragon hurried towards them.

Amusement shown on Mulan's face as the dragon told her to pack her bags and she couldn't help but roll her eyes and smile. However, instead of replying she waited until Mushu and Sora were done speaking, and she frowned as Mushu's behavior. "Mushu!" Mulan said in a scolding tone as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked down at him. Turning away from her guardian she faced Sora. "Don't worry about him. He's been a bit sour ever since I've been invited to work at the palace with Shang. There hasn't been much trouble lately and I think Mushu is beginning to lose his courage," Mulan said loudly so Mushu would overhear. She knew the best way to get him to do something was to goad him. Excusing herself, the girl went to her room and traded her dress for her warrior clothing of the tunic and pants and boots. Her armor was at the palace as was her things though her sword was with her of course. Belting it onto her waist, she walked back to the others and smiled. "I'm in. Just tell me what to do."

Inside the cave, Riku stood with his hands in his pockets in attempts to fight the cold. He hadn't remebered the weather being so icy here before - but the last time he was wearing an Organization coat. It was then that Sora realized that the silvernette was assisting him from behind enemy lines. He let the memory fade away, a scowl on his lips as a few more followed...

The teen's teal eyes glanced up to the red flames on the floor and the pyro who had just set them, he was smirking, and then his eyes followed Naminé to the cavern wall. He stared at her as he shivered on the floor. He began unbuttoning his shirt and he walked across the space between them. He draped his shirt over her shoulders and head, hoping it would help her. He smiled down at her, he was wearing a muscle shirt now and he was doing a good job of hiding his cold shivers.

"I'm gonna go check on Hikari, okay," he said to the blonde.

Hikari was in a trance, no longer in control of her own body. She knew what was happening from afar, where Lakayna had located the half of the artifact, but just how she knew was beyond her. She lowered her hand to her side, both hands balling up into fists and glowing violet in color. Though one couldn't see right away because of her glasses, her eyes were wide and unblinking as she muttered to herself incoherently.

Suddenly the soft feeling of cloth brushed over Naminé's skin, causing the petite blonde's eyes to flutter open. The girl found herself looking up at Riku, the boy having shed out of his shirt and tossed it over her to help keep her warm. She also warmed up when she blushed seeing as he was only wearing a muscle shirt that did a dang good job of showing off his figure. The boy didn't seem to be shivering much and Naminé absently toyed with his shirt he'd given her, her fingers grasping the fabric. Upon hearing his words, the girl nodded but also stood up.

She'd thought because of the portal of darkness, she stilll felt a lingering of it but this was different. It was the feeling she'd gotten before she'd met Hikari. A feeling that somone was using the Darkness and Naminé didn't know how, but she knew for some reason, she could tell when Hikari was controlling the darkness. The petite blonde looked out towards the mouth of the cave and there was a flash of violet light. Naminé's brilliant blue eyes were a bit troubled but she looked up at Riku and smiled. "I think checking up on her sounds like a good idea," the blonde said, not telling the real reason she wanted to check up on the girl. Before heading, out, she stood up on tip-toes and kissed Riku lightly, murmuring a thanks for the shirt. However, the moment the boy started shivering, she was going to give it right back. It wouldn't do to have him cold.

Walking away, she led the way out of the cave and was surpised to find that the sun was no longer shining, but was steadily slipping behind the mountains. However, that wasn't what caught her attention. Hikari did. the girl's hands were glowing and she seemed to be mumuring to herself. Concern flashed across Naminé's features as she took a step towards the silver haired girl. "Hikari?" She called out the girl's name a bit loudly, wondering as she stepped closer. The petite blonde wanted to ask the girl why she was controlling darkness, for what purpose but she didn't think Hikari would be able to answer at the moment and she didn't want to make it sound like an accusation.

When the blonde sushed it made Riku smile a little more. She stood up and kissed him, and he wrapped a hand around her waist for a moment as she thanked him. He nodded to her, still smiling until she agreed to join him to check on his sister. He watched her for a minute, walking in the cave with his shirt wrapped around her small shoulders. He shivered once or twice behind her back before following her.

Riku's face suddenly changed into a scowl when he came upon the two girl's, Naminé's concern and Hikari's Darkness growing. He stared down at his twin. What was she doing? He knew she was apart of the Darkness and that she lived off of it but still - "Hikari!"

She could hear the voices calling for her, but she couldn't turn around. The voice in her head, the force that was holding her back, it was too strong. But then she felt something click. As quickly as the darkness overtook her, her violet aura around her fists disappeared and she blinked back into consciousness. Turning around, she looked at the two with a curious look on her face. "Huh? Riku, Namine? What are you two doing out here?" she asked, noticing Riku's shivering. "You two should go back inside. You'll get sick out here."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 17, 2009 5:15 pm

"What?" Riku gasped. He stared down at the girl. She really had no clue why they were over here? He looked down at her hands, grabbing them and looking at them. There wasn't any Dark residue, which was odd, and he looked back up at her.

"Hikari, what were you just doing?"

"Dammit! I hate Heartless!" Lakayna yelled in a bitter voice.
No one chould hear her thoughts from where she was. Lakayna snarled, many Heartless lunged at once. Lakayna began to fight against them with all she had swiping at them with claws and biting at the with sharp teeth. She even let loose streams of fire on rows of them, but the waves seemed to be endless.
They just keep coming! she thought to herself, but why?
The fight against them just seemed to go on and on. Dammit, where was the Keyblade master when he was needed? Lakayna couldn't wait for him though. She kept fighting for a very long time, but the Heartless began to overtake her, jabbing her with spears and claws or using magic spells on the draon. Most of the attacks bounced of Lakayna's hard scales, but not against beneath her wings and leathery but tender skin underneath.
This is going nowhere fast, the female dragon thought to herself as she began to breathe hard and shake where she stood, I have to get to that statue half...
Lakayna didn't have much energy left within her. She fought her way forward, desparate reach the piece on the pedastal.

Hikari suddenly seemed to come to, asking what Naminé and Riku were doing out here. The petite blonde cast her an incredulous glance and then her brilliant blue eyes traveled down to the girl's hands. The violet aura that had surrounded them had completely dissapeared and Hikari seemed her usual self again. And more than that... the feeling of Darkness was dissapearing, and fast. But Naminé wanted to know where it led. The petite blonde reached out with her own power, grasping for the darkness. She managed to connect with it briefly and an image of a hoarde of heartless surrounding Lakyna suddenly flashed in her mind. And then the Darkness slipped out from the Nobody's grasp.

"Lakayna!" The girl said quite suddenly, turning away from Riku and Hikari and facing out over the cold, icy mountain. The sun had sunk below it now, casting the world in shadow. How was she to find her friend admist all this? The mountain was huge and Lakayna could be anywhere inside of it. "Something's wrong..." Naminé murmured quietly, worried for her friend. In the vision, Lakayna had seemed worn out, tired. Hurt. She had to help her! But how to get there?! The thought hit Naminé suddenly and the girl whirled back to face Riku and Hikari. "I'll be back," she stated, offering no information as to where she was going or what she was doing. Pulling Riku's shirt from her shoulders she placed it around its owner before waving a hand. A portal of darkness appeared and the girl raced through it, dissapearing into its depths. It swirled shut the moment she'd gone. The portal opened up not to far from Lakayna, in fact it opened quite close to the dragon-girl. Naminé stepped through and appeared beside her friend. Lunar Eclipse appeared in a flash of light and the petite blonde took up a stance in front of the dragon. "I'm here to help!" She called out to Lakayna, slashing at the Heartless stupid enough to come near. But... why was there so many?

[[Don't worry, I'm not going to have Naminé reach and take the part of the sword Lakayna needs unless that's okay. I'm just having her with Lakayna so she can have some one to post with, even if its a fight scene. >.<]]

"It's about time some help came," Lakayna muttered.
Still, she continued to fight. Even as blood began to ooze out of her stab wounds she still fought her way forward.
"Something's trying to keep me from what I seek," she finally said, "That's the only explanation for so many Heartless in one place."
This was getting rediculous. Lakayna took a huge breath and, after pushing Namine out of the way with one of her frontal claws, blasted a clear path trough the Heartless. Lakayna ran forward and grabbed the figurine as more Heartless came.
"Namine, get us out of here! I don't have the strength left to get out myself!" she told her friend.
