Lieutenant, I'm transfering the Captain to the channel, Hold on........

Twombley? This is the Captain. Listen, I'm having a Pelican come down to the surface to relive you of comand for the time being. Grab your things and get ready.
A minute or so after he left the tent where Kristi lay, the Captains transmission filled his ear peice. The order of him being relieved and sent back to the Armengald was entirely unexpected to him at this point. Things were under control, but he didn't want to leave his marines. He replied quickly;

'Sir, yes sir. I'll be ready.

Mathias had everything he needed. He took his remaining time to look over the entrance defences and make sure moral among the troops was still intact, which it was. The only other thing he had to do was wait...

((no kiddin))

Howie was done with everything. His ammo was full. The crates were mostly set up and the AP turrets were set up. Howie was now keeping watch. He didn't feel like being ambushed, not his style.

"Big sir, but in a small package. 'Bout 1.2 km big. I found this near the bottem of the stack of heavy weapon crates." Jenkins opened the clips, turned the crate around and opened it, displaying two football shaped Fury Tactical Nukes.

He grimaced at the sight of the weapons that should have helped them, knowing they'd only be a problem for them where they were. There was practically no way for them to use these nukes down here, since the blast would take them out along with their enemy. The over-pressurized air from the resulting explosion alone would be enough to kill his entire team, while he would survive only because of his armor. He still hated the idea, and quickly placed a cold metal hand on the Marine's shoulder, giving him a slight shake to pull his attention up from the devastating weapons as he pulled him closer for a private conversation. "Don't tell anyone else about these. Pack them back up and cover them with several other crates. Understood?" He couldn't use them in any way, but that didn't mean some desperate Marine who's fear-crazed couldn't blow them all to hell. He couldn't even risk leaving them out. He knew a few bullets wouldn't harm the crate, since it's armored and sealed tight, but that didn't stop humans from opening it. He removed his hand from the soldier's shoulder and quickly strode away, hoping the Marine had enough common sense to follow this one order and bury the nukes from sight.

"Yes sir." He closed the metal clasps on the crate and pulled out a pocket soldering kit usally ment for quick armor patch work. He solderd the claspes shut, practly burying them in metal. As the welds cooled, Jenkins watched mariens and a smattering of ODSTs go about thier various assigned tasks. He picked up the crate and causaly walked over behind the heavy weapons crates. He put the crate containg the Nukes down and begun to clear a spot on the floor for the crate. After clearing a spot on the floor for the crate he placed it it the cleared area and begun pileing the heavyest crates, mostly launchers and unused anti tank mines, around and ontop of it, with the lightest crated at the top, frag grenades and heavy weapon ammo. Jenkins sat down against a near by wall to take a break and clear his head of all the possible and horrible things that could happen if a deranged marien found the Nukes.

((damn man, thats the longst paragraph Iv typed rp wise on gaia...ever! xd ))

"But miss you cant! we dont know what-" the doctor was cut off.

""You dont know what sin me i know but ill mnage.. .besides... my legs feeling better..." She said now just realizing the almost shattered bones in her legs felt.... better than before. Kristi now remembered seeing another SPARTEN around, probably went down,-SPARTEN.... 108 was it? This is Kristi, stayin formal, you need any help down there? im bored as s**t walkin around base-

Scarlett tapped her foot and thought of what to do. She had finished setting up and getting ready, and she let her mind wonder. She had an idea. Scarlett walked over to the Spartan.

"Sir? I think we should put silencers on our guns. The flood arent so bright, and we if move quickly, we might be able to fight them off a few small groups at a time. The last thing we need is to find a room with a crowd, and raise hell for all forms in this cavern to hear."

A Pelcian appered from the distance like a comet. It cirlced the area twice and landed in a clear area close to the gathered marines.

The rear bay doors gave a hiss and opened to the world of Halo. About 3 Techies and 6 Marines jogged out of the Pelican and ran to random area's of the fortified position.

With a slight hum, and a click, the whole metalic marvel shut down and gave a long hiss of steam from its rear cooling valves.

Inside the Pelican, the door to the cockpit opened and revieled 2 pilots. Both of them walked out onto the grassy knoll in their standard sky blue UNSC jumpsuits.

For a minute, the 2 of them talked to eachother and extanged salutes and the shorter one went back into the Pelican.
The slightly taller one walked towards the encampment. He brushed past tents with battle fatigued Marines inside of them. The whole area was busy with exitment.

Finally, he approched a tall, shaved marine. "Exuse me son, I'd like to see Lieutenant Twombley please." He said in a soft, cool voice. The marine looked down apon the Navy flightman. "The Lieutenant?" He scoffed. "Why the hell do you wanna know space junkie?" The marine said, crossing his arms. The pilot laughed. "Thats an order son." He said again with the same tone.

The marine got angry. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING SON!? YOU SON OF A-" Before he could finish, the pilot removed his helmet, revieling the face of Captain Resnick. "I am, care to finish that sentance, SON?"

The marine saluted quickly "NO SIR! He is right over there." He said, keeping his salute. "Good, thank you son." The captain said and walked off.

He looked back at the marine, who was still in his saluting position. The captain laughed and continued on.

He entered the tent where Twombley was in. "Hello Lieutenant!' He said, giving him a salute.

((I have the same type of thing in my fan-fic. Exept Brennan threatens a Sergeant with shoving his boots up his a**. Phrased like this:

"I'D SUGGEST YOU WATCH YOUR TONE! OR I'LL SHOVE THESE SIZE 11's SO FAR UP YOUR a** YOU'LL BE TASTING RUBBER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!'))

((Makes me cringe just thinking about that image. The captain with his knee stuck, and the boot making an impression where the belly button would be. xd ))

((ow xd ))

Mendez packed up his things, and looked around. He heard the Corporal's statement about Silencers. "Won't work marine, these flood continuously enter and don't slow down. there aren't any 'small groups'" he turned and looked at one of the doors. "And if they find you they yell and raise all hell"

At the time the pelican arrived, the Lieutenant had been looking over one of the few letters he had from home. It was around 80 degrees outside, and he could feel the tent he was in begin to heat up as the nearest star's light rays beat down on the tent. He had heard the pelican arrived, and knew it was his ride, but he waiting till he was requested to leave. The letters lay on the makeshift table that had been set up for him when Captain Resnick entered his tent. "Captain Resnick!" Mathias stood up to salute, very suprised to see the Captain. "Sir, this...is unexpected, but its good to see you sir."

"I know I know. But I personally wanted to pick you up. Do you have everything?" He asked him.

The Lieutenant nodded, grabbing his BR55 that had been leaning against the table, and slung it over his shoudler. Mathias grabbed his helmet as well, placing it back onto his head. "I do now sir." Twombley moved towards the exit of the door after the Captain, then he asked a question, "Who's taking command down here on Halo?"

Captain Resnick held the exit open for Twombley and the both headed for the Pelican.

"Lieutenant Orden. But you'll be back down soon, trust me son." He said as they walked to the Pelican.
