Richard smiled, nodded as he stretched a little. "I thought you'd never ask..." He smiled gently as he looked out the window at the gray skies. "The couch or bed love?" he asked, wondering where she'd be more comfortable.

"We can both fit on the bed..." Lorey yawned again, and rubbed her eyes. Whatever mascara she'd put on that day was well worn off, leaving a slight, dark smudge around her eyes. The more she rubbed, the more it went away.
Once inside her delicate room, Lorey crawled gratefully into the covers. They smelled faintly of lavender and something sweet, which she adored.

Richard joined her with a relieved sigh, his body relaxing almost immediately. He, however, was much more interested with the smell of Lorey's hair and overall self, rather than the sheets. She smelt like...Lorey. More recently she had taken on the lovely aroma of various flowers she worked with, but she still had that familiar smell he felt high off of, and adored with all his heart.
He smiled, wrapping his arms around her sweetly, his eyes closed. "Right now...we're in our own big bed. Our bed...in Our house...our son and or daughter is asleep and just fine...our dogs are asleep in our kitchen...No one can touch us....no one will make any of it go away..." his voice trailed off as he snuggled her closer, still smiling at the vision.

First, Lorey imagined the house. It would be big, with two floors. Every room would be sealed to keep warm in the winter, or kept cool in the summer by air conditioning. No drafts would come through any window. There would be soft carpets in every room, except for the bath room and kitchen and dining room. Maybe the dining room would have hardwood floors...
The child was a bit hard to imagine, but she did imagine a boy with Richard's hair and her eyes. Somehow she couldn't picture their child with her white, white hair. Just the blue eyes, and taking after Richard...
The dogs-- because they wanted more than one-- were kicking in their sleep and dreaming of ball chases and rabbits on the lawn.
Lorey hugged Richard tighter as he spoke. No one could touch them, what a thought! And no one could make any of it go away. Not a soul...
"And outside, the gardens are all planted. There's a vegetable garden that's just starting to grow. And we have trees growing. Big trees that spread out and cast shade on half the house and property..."

Richard smiled lightly as he rubbed her arm with one hand. "And there's a swing hanging from one of the limps...and a tree house in the back yard....and...A boat leaning against the side of the house..." He suddenly jerked upright excited. "Can we get a boat!? Like an old fashioned one!?" He looked like a little kid asking for a toy, but quickly settled back down. "Ah- sorry....but yes...It'll be wonderful..." He calmed himself back down, not meaning to ruin the quiet moment. He just smiled though, his cheeks starting to hurt.

He half scared her with sitting upright and exclaiming that he wanted a boat, but she was thankful that he calmed down. Lorey snuggled up to him again, gently stroking his hair and forehead with her nails in an effort to get him into sleep.
"We'd have to be by water, but if you want a boat, then we'll have a boat... maybe there will be a pond, and we can have water lilies."

"And I can teach our kid how to fish..." he beamed just thinking about it. "...and..a white picket fence?" He asked, laughing to himself at the cliche. but it just seemed to fit. "And sunflowers against the house...a lot of them..." He had always liked sunflowers secretly. Strong, tall and bright...

"I love sunflowers!" she whispered. "We'll have to have a lot of those. Big ones, taller than you."
Lorey continued running her fingers across his forehead and down the side of his face. How she loved looking at him smile with his eyes closed. He was relaxing on the bed, after a day of paperwork and visiting her, getting kisses and hope and happiness just from dreams...
"And in our house, it could rain just like it is now, and we'd listen to it, and imagine it's music just for us... that soft rumble is a drum, and everything else is a symphony."
She'd read that somewhere, though her tired mind couldn't remember just where.

Richard exhaled deeply, letting it all sink in. "It'll be simply paradise..." He summed it all up, as many more little details popped into his head here and there, making him more and more tired. He felt sleep soon trying to take over but still whispered to Lorey. "Just you and me...in our paradise..."

Lorey fell asleep not long after, just listening to the rain and hoping with all her heart that their dreams would come true. They deserved them to, but life might not know that. It rarely had.
When Damian and Raquel came home, things were very quiet. It was still drizzling outside, and a little dark. The house felt warm, though, thanks to the fire Richard had made earlier on that had long since died out.
"They're probably snoozing," he whispered as they came inside the living room. He placed her books down upon the couch, cracked his back and smiled. "What now?"

Raquel turned to him, smiling coyly as she bit her lip. "We...could pick up where we left off...." She whispered,coming up to give his ear a slight nibble, as she kissed his neck. "Or...We could read." She whipped away so fast it should've made his head spin. She skipped over to the couch, smiling innocently as she picked up her books. "Or just do whatever." She shrugged,still smiling.

The little devil horns went right up in his mind.
"If we picked up where we left off... then we'd have to seek out privacy." He glided over to where she stood to return the kisses to her neck and ear. "Unless you want to read or do whatever it was you were about to do, then I suppose a later date could suffice..."
He voice changed to a low sort of purring. It usually drove women mad, coupled with soft touches and breaths. But would it work with Raquel? She'd already proven to be very different than the others.

Raquel practically dropped her books, her whole body breaking out into goosebumps. But she recovered quickly, trying not to let him get to her. She had been dealing with charmers like him for years, why was it that she was just now having a problem?
But she tried to make due, putting on her more seductive nature. She turned and looked at him with half opened eyes, trying to still shake the chill he had given her. She had a combo where she partially bit her lip, as well as licked them, that was a sure fire turn on for most of the men she had been with. "Now, now Damian... you're such a sweet little boy...Are you sure you could handle a real woman..." A devilish little smirk crossed her lips, feeling her naughty playful side being resurrected as she slipped off his jacket. She acted as if she were reaching for his shirt when she simply turned around to go hang his jacket up in the closet near the door, along with her own. Vut she didn't so much as glance back at him, just standing on her tiptoes to reach the hanger nonchalantly. Reel him in... bring out his intentions love... she told herself in the back of her mind.

Ah, a game, he thought. He could play well.
He came up behind Raquel as she hung her coat and his. Just as her hand came back down from the rack, he wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her to him slightly.
"I have known real women for a good time... but I never wished to please them."
He found that what he wanted was just that, to make her happy, to please her and let her know in some different way that he loved her. It was such a half and half situation, but it was an improvement from what selfish feelings he'd nurtured before.
"You are Raquel, and you are different from everyone else..."

Raquel felt her knees buckle slightly, her breath starting to be a bit uneven. She pulled way, shaking softly. "...Do you promise to still be there when I wake up?" She asked, taking on the appearance of a small scared child suddenly. Damian just had that affect on her.
