Veltex fell down, gasping. The dark figure was kneeling, and some thing was behind it. A human. The first thought that ran through his head was " s@#t his partner caught up." but then he realized that the club he was carrying had blood on it. With a smirk Veltex stood up, and took out his sword. "I'll handle it from here." he said, and with one foul swoop he beheaded the dark figure. after the deed was done he put down his sword and examined the figure. A goblin, just as he thought. " Thanks." he said, looking up at the figure who saved his life. " I'm Veltex, and whom are you?"

Thinking quickly as not to unmask himself, he plainly stated "I have come to seek redemption, and to get guidance on ceasing my demonic ways. For example, rather than eat this goblin, I will simply toss it into a dumpster and have the city patrol find him." although Veltex was hungry, he knew that any signs of him saving that corpse would blow his chances of getting fresh meat, and anyways, he was not fond of the tough, bitter taste of Goblin meat. "What is your business here?" He asked in question. Come, let us take rest at an inn, we can discuss whilst walking there, lest we beith attacked again."

with a slow answer, Joe said, "yes." (( you didn't reply, so I am going to put in what I think you wanted to say)) "Excellent!" Veltex remarked. We shall begin tomorrow. I believe an old druid lives by the cave outcropping out of town. Let us kill him!."
" I will not kill an innocent man." Joe flatly stated."If these are your intensions, I will not train with you." Veltex grinned. "Good to see you aren't going to lead me back to my old ways." -that was close- he thought to himself as he continued his gaze. "Oh! one more thing!" he said. " I would avert your gaze towards my eyes unless you seek death." with that Joe dropped his gaze, looking at the floor. Veltex Chuckled." You don't have to be afraid, just don't look for too long." (( let's continue this until you or I has to sleep, and then we will retire for the night in both real life, and in the role play))

Veltex smiled to himself. Lying was always one of his strong points. " we shall set out at dawn, druids are much more powerful when the moon is up. with that he pulled out two chairs, some shot glasses, and a bottle of Whiskey. "So, tell me about yourself." he said.

"we'll get along just fine." Veltex snickered. "I was brought to life by the demons of hell, but left them, for ghouls rarely enjoy the company of others. Now I live in the forrest, and have ventured to Terra only today. I have been practicing the darker arts, mainly corruption, and skill enhancement. quite recently I found a new spell, one that makes me exert spurts of power out of my right hand." with that he put away the drinks, and stretched. I do believe it is time for bed. with that he went to his room, to catch some shut eye.

Veltex woke up with a start. He knew if they were ever to defeat this druid, they would need to fight him before the sun rose, but after the moon set. He got ready, and walked over to Joe's room, where he found him sound asleep. "WAKE UP!" he yelled. With that Joe flopped out of bed and started getting ready. " Veltex prepared breakfast, and they left. The streets were quiet, for it was against the city regulations to be out at this hour. Being caught would result in jail. Both knew this though, and they walked with complete stealthiness. As they were heading out, one of the patrol spotted them. " Hey! What are you doing out here?" He called, as he started to walk over. "Blast it." Veltex muttered, and they dashed for the gate. The guard was catching close, so Veltex did something irrational. He pulled out his sword and stood, facing the guard. " get out while you can." he whispered to Joe. I'll handle him. Joe ran just outside the gates, and watched as Veltex and the guard prepared for battle. The guard stopped. "Dare you threaten a guard?" he exclaimed. "Ney" Said Veltex. "I wish to bribe you. let us go, and I shall pay you in 5 hundred gold." The guard grinned. "No one has that sort of money, and any ways, The law doesn't except bribery. Almost as if by instinct Veltex Brought out a bag of coins, and tossed it into the street, between them. " Check for yourself." He stated. The guard walked over, and opened the pouch. Gold poured out of it. " As the guard was in awe over the money, Veltex made a dash for the gate, and escaped The clutches of Terrian Law. " Let's get out of here!" He motioned. Joe and Veltex left, to venture on to the cavern where this druid lived. " There really was 500 gold in there." Veltex said, reading the look of dishonesty on Joe's face. I took it from that thug who tried to kill us." Joe's look stayed the same, but his body motions were much calmer then before. As they approached the cavern, Veltex Nodded and said " are you ready for a battle?"

"BWAHAHA!" The Druid laughed. " Mere physical power can't stop me! with that he dug the sythe out, his wound instantly healing. "I'll use this now. Thank you for the donation." he laughed. Veltex brought his cane up and flicked it. Out came a small blade. "Exlon." Veltex muttered. This was his skill enhancing spell. with that he proceeded to lunge at the druid, furiously stabbing at it. Most were either dodged or missed, but a couple managed to pierce skin. The druid brought his hand out and smacked Veltex across the cavern. Veltex was quick to his feet, but was very dizzy. " Don't let him exit the cave." he said. " If he has contact with the sky and forest he will be much more powerful. Joe nodded his head in acknowledgement and brought his mace out, readying himself for any sly move the druid might make. The druid was angered now, and began spitting out spells, causing him to become larger, and seemingly composed of water. "You will not defeat me!" He bellowed. Joe looked over at Veltex, with fear in his eye. Veltex was still recovering his balance, but he didn't seem worried. " Although he didn't seem frightened by the massive water formation, Joe certainly was. Joe started giving ground, when the druid suddenly ceased his actions. The places where Veltex had stabbed him were burning! The druid started to shrink, and solidify back to himself again. He couldn't concentrate enough to continue the spells. " don't just stand there! attack him!" Veltex barked. Joe ran to the druid and started beating him with mace. There was blood everywhere in the cavern, splattering even Veltex, who was on the other side. Veltex licked the blood off and walked over to the battle. Although the druid was being beaten down, his heart wasn't removed, rendering him immortal. Veltex lifted the druids head and stared at him for a good time. Suddenly the Druid leapt up, but instead of running away, he ran to the caverns walls and started smashing his head against them, causing his skull to fracture, knocking him out. Veltex motioned Joe to come with him to see the uncontentious druid. Veltex flipped him over, and exposed his chest. He turned to Joe and asked "would you care to have the honour?
