Tokeru continued to massage her shoulders and he laughed. "I'm not sure I should ask what happened. I'm not very good at this listening thing, I am however very good at the pretend-to-listen-and-get-your-a**-kicked-later-when-you-get-quizzed-on-it, thing. Soo, I guess it's all up to you. Would you like to tell me what happened?"
Tokeru moved his hands to her back, massaging out all the knots that would be covered by his wings, completly forgetting that she had no wings to fly with, and therefore didn't feel the pain of them.

"Meh," she said, not really particularly feeling like explaining herself at the moment, "I think I'll spare your a** the whooping." She chuckled, savoring his gentle yet assertive massage. "So," she asked, wondering if putting on her dress had been such a great idea, "what are you planning to do with the kid when he wakes up? Do you think he'll remember anything about working for Draegan?"
Ah! That had been a bad question, it related to things that Tokeru did not need to be reminded of. "s**t!" she said before he could have a chance to respond to what she had asked him, "don't answer that. ********, just forget I ever asked it. Oh God... I feel like a wreck and I'm babbling like one too... I think I am going to end up being like my father when I grow up... Oh no!" She chuckled at her statement about her father. He was a good guy, a wonderful man, she loved him, but he did tend to babble a lot. It was mostly about the same thing and it grew tiring after a while and no one listened any longer.

Anger instinctively rose again in Tokeru, but he forced it down, down into the hidden pit where all his anger was held.
"I don't know, but right now, he's my only way of finding out where Draegan is."
Tokeru stopped massaging her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. He placed his chin on her shoulder and gently kissed her cheek.
"Man I wish I had a tv or a sofa that wasn't being occupied by my sister at almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She has a fascination with daytime talk shows. I don't know why, but she thinks they are hilarious. She laughs at Dr. Phil and Oprah every episode. She even forced me to watch a few with her. It's driving me insane, and it's the only TV in my room. I mean, watch something else for god's sakes. There's a DVD player in there, and yet she watches those shows. Why. Why do women confuse me so?"

Edith decided to leave Tokeru's comment at that, she could feel his anger, and she did not want him to feast on it unnecessarily. She did not want him to be angry, anger was good, but only when it was in battle or when you needed it. Right now he did not need his anger, he needed to relax and have a little bit of fun. Ease up before the actual s**t happened.
"I've," Edith said unabashed, "always hated talk shows. They're so ******** boring and the same thing always happens. Doctor Phil and Oprah are just rich people who are trying to make themselves look good while they're earning even more money. I can't stand talk shows. I want to shoot Doctor Phil ten times in each arm then pour salt into the bullet wounds. And Oprah, I wanna cut her tongue outta her mouth and dangle her upside down by her feet. And I honestly don't know why the hell your sister enjoys watching them, but my mom would probably happily join her..."

Tokeru laughed, his chin still resting on her left shoulder. "It's not just those two, she watches The View, and the Daily Show. I hate them all. Maybe i should just lock those channels, but then she would just beat me with a hose untill i unlocked them again. She needs to get out more, even on halloween she didn't leave. And she had the perfect angel costume. Oh well."
Tokeru then stopped talking, and just listened to her breathe. I wish we could stay here, alone for the rest of the day. But I know we don't have much time together. She's gonna be wanting to go back to Will's wedding soon, and this kid will wake up eventually. Then i'm gonna need to start sleuthing again. if only there was some way to figre out what potion Draegan used on those kids, then maybe there would be some way to apply it to my heart, and make it younger, return it to before it became like that.

"Ugh!" Edith exclaimed, sounding absolutely appauled and disgusted, "those are old lady shows! They're tainting your innocent little sister! You're a terrible brother! Letting her watch those old women converse about nothing! I hate The View the most out of all those talk shows you've listed. I fail to see the point in it at all. They just sit there talking about random things and their new make-up or hair-styles... The boredom..." Yes, she had been forced to sit and watch talkshows with her mother, and now you could even say she had a phobia of them.
Edith heard Tokeru's thoughts, and she was able to distinguish his thoughts from his actual voice now. His thoughts were more dreamy-sounding, more faded, she had to listen to them more carefully, more attentively. "Stop worrying so much, Angel. I'll stay here if you need me to. I'm sure that Will and Lyds would understand. And yes, this time I know that those were your thoughts. I think I'm getting the hang of this even if I heard them by accident and my tylenol is starting to not work..."

Tokeru would have smiled, but he didn't want to.
"Well, I'm sure lydia would understand, but not Will. He doesn't seem to like me all that much, it's more like he tolerates me because of the Shadow Stalkers. If it weren't for them, I'm sure he wouldn't want me around very often, no matter how many immortals I kill."
Tokeru kissed her cheek. "Well, I could give you a temple massage, that might help. it always helped me when I was a little kid, but where would we find a table/bed."
He then remembered they were in the infirmary. "Oh right, silly me."
He laughed sheepishly at his own stupid mistake.

Edith pulled Tokeru closer to her, into an embrace, wrapping her hands around his waist. "Angel," she said, eyes pleading with his, "don't think like that. I'm sure that William, of all people, will be able to see the good in you. Not just for his littlest sister's sake but because he knows that even the most sinful person can be forgiven. Don't be so hard on yourself."
She ignored his offer to massage her temples, right now she was holding him closely, closely so that their bodies were touching. "So," she decided to ask, "do you want me to stay here with you? If you do, I'll stay. William and Lydia could not have cared too terribly much if I did not show up at their wedding since they made no special effort to find me so I could attend, or even inform me."

Tokeru smiled. "As much as I want to say yes, you should go. Will is probably never going to get married again, seeing how he is. He seems to me to be the kind of person to truly honor the "Death do us part". I really want you to stay, but i'm sure Will is going to miss you being there, even if it's only to dance with you after. You can stay if you want, but I don't want it to be because of me. If you stay, i don't want it to be because i asked you to."
He gave her a deep kiss before finishing his sentence. "I want it to be because You, want to."
He looked her in the eyes, marvelling at how they sparkled with such intensity.
She is the most beautiful woman in the world, and she's offering to stay with me. Why didn't I just say yes?

"Damnit," Edith said in a rather harsh tone, "I hate being the one to make choices or decisions. I want to stay but I don't want my brother to think that I've abandoned him and that I don't care to acknowledge him and Lydia coming together. I'm sure as hell glad that I ain't no bridesmaid or else I'd be so screwed right now. That and I'd probably ruin the ceremony with my restlessness."
Yes, she hated the ceremonial part of the wedding, she was like a kid with an overdose of sugar and caffeine. She just wanted to up and run around, maybe bash a few people on the head to see what they would do. Man, she would have to bring Kyley along as well and if she could barely sit through it, how was Kyley going to?

After a while Reno decided it was time to finally get things straight.He could see in Eden's eyes that something was up. Especially when she saw Tokeru. And he knew there was some reason Tokeru wanted him out. He was going to find out one way or another.After searching for a while he found Tokeru with Eden ever so close to him.His heart raced and his anger grew."Hey Tokeru."He said after entering the room they were in."Lets talk, you and me. Outside this room."Reno wanted to see if he would follow and he also wanted to see if his suspicsion was correct about Eden and Tokeru.

Tokeru turned his head when Reno came into the room. Without even getting up, he just waved him into the room. "I'm sorry reno, I cannot leave the room. I need to be at that child's side when he wakes up. He is going to be scared and disoriented, so i need to be there to calm him, since all the doctors are gone."
He looked back at Edith, and brushed hair out of her face gently.
"If you want to go to the wedding, then go. I'm sure he will want you to be there, and he'll be happy that you came. PLus, you're already dressed in the dress and all."

Edith looked very uncertain and when she heard Reno's voice sounding cross, she knew that she would have some explaining to do. However, right now was not the time and she really did not want to explain everything that had happened. Besides, how she and Tokeru had gotten together had been completely unplanned, unexpected, and random. Who would have thought that having cake with someone and starting a cake fight would lead to them falling for one another?
Why did she always seem to end up with people in the most random and peculiar ways? Oh well. What did matter was that Reno would probably hate her after this and not want to talk to her ever again. They hadn't officially been together but it seemed that Reno wanted them to be really badly. Then she had up and left, getting with Tokeru completely unintentionally but they still had. Boy was she a b***h...
"Okay," she said to Tokeru though she had been starting to lean more towards staying. "You made a good point but I'm going to come back and check up after the ceremony still. Make sure the kid and you are alright. If you're going to be staying here, could I leave Kyley here? I was going to take her but something tells me she'll be bored stiff and I don't wanna do that to her. Could you look after her for me? She's not a handfull at all, she just asks a shitload of questions."
She then turned to Reno, lifting her hand into the air sloping it like a rainbow, her signature wave. "Heya there Reno," she said, now feeling really guilty, "you wanna come to the wedding with me? I think I need company and I need someone to keep me outta trouble. I get really restless during ceremonies and sometimes things get wrecked. That and I think we should talk."

Reno shot a quick glare at Tokeru and then gentally looked at Eden."Well, Im not much of a wedding guy but, what the hell I'll go."He reached into his pocket. He knew now would be the best time ever to pull out the ring he had spent so much on.Plus he wanted to see Tokeru probly freak out when he saw.He pulled out a small box and opened it infront of Eden.Inside was a beautifle dimond ring made of pure gold."I was hoping you would accept this ring from me Eden."

Tokeru was immediatly shocked as he saw Reno pull open the case, then he saw the ring inside. Doing something very un-Tokeru like. He quickly got off the chair, gently pushing Edith aside, and ran to the bathroom, where he tried to contain his mirth, with some success. To a casual listener it would sound like crying, but to anyone that truly knew him, it would be muffled laughter. He didn't want to laugh out loud infront of Reno, for all he knew Reno had been trying to pull the courage together for awhile now, and he didn't want to embarrass him. Plus the diamond was tiny. It was like, 1/4 of a carat. The ring itself was ok, but the diamond was almost invisible. More of a "i'm sorry i forgot your birthday" ring than anything. And, it was pure gold, which made it completly useless as it would dent and bend against anything that hit it. There was a reason they mixed gold with other metals, not to make em cheaper, but to make the gold stronger, and that ring would not last long. Once his laughter ended, he let himself stay there for a few seconds longer. "Man, that ring is horrid. I suppose it was expensive, although the person that sold it to him royally ripped him off. Solid gold? Man, that's just idiocy. We are hunters, and solid gold would get twisted within the first three minutes of a hunt, not to mention dented and worn. It would need to get replaced every day. Remelted and recast. And the mounting for the diamond is also gold, so the diamond would fall off pretty easily also."
He got out of the bathroom saying only. "Laughing gas leak, gotta fix it."
He then covered his mouth in the pretense of not wanting to inhale more, and wandered around the infirmary. He trusted Edith, and if she choose Reno, he would not like it, but he would accept her decision. He would be bitter and probably want to kill Reno, might even make a few attempts and 1 serious attempt, but he wouldn't be angry with her.
