One of the halfed Corbies was still alive, barely. It lashed out weakly with a taloned hand, catching Kay's ankle, triping her up, but not penetrating the shoes she wore. Its last breath rattled its torn body, then it died silently.
Shadow rushed forward, tearing into a Corbie that had dodged around behind her as the others had distracted Kay. The bird-man screeched in pain, lashing out with its feet, just as deadly as its hands, slicing through Shadow's left fore-leg. He growled and sunk his teeth into the Corbie's face, above the beak, and straight into the eyes.
Another cat circled Kay, snarling and growling at the few Corbies, 3 to be exact. They were standing away from the door, the cats and Kay inbetween them and it. They hissed once and then turned to run, rushing away into the dank underbelly of the complex.

Shadow looked after Kay, watching her disappear into the darkness "Go! Take pack!" he said to a large, white-striped cat. The cat nodded and roared, charging down the corridor after Kay, the dozen cats left following him, scambling along walls and the ceiling.

The three Corbies attacked in unison, two grabbing Kay before she'd been able to adjust. The third lunged at her, talons and beak aimed for her throat. It never made it. The first few cats pounced over Kay, smashing into the birdman and pulling it apart in the pitch black. The rest of the cats didn't pause at the door, but ran past it down the hall.
With their leader dead at the jaws of the cats, the two holding Kay began to pul her in opposite directions, hoping to tear her in two.

Kimmi frowned and kicked the generator. "There's some kind of pass code that isn't coming from this computer that won't let me get it up any higher than half way." She muttered some curses as she brought up a map with a blinking dot. "I have to get there." She traced her finger along the air vent quickly memorizing where she needed to go to get to the computer that the code was originating from. "The computer is on some kind of reset. If I put the generator any high then it resets what I've done and takes everything with it. I have to shut it down." She muttered over her shoulder as she caught the edge of the vent and pulled herself up and into it. "Guard the generator. There might be other things going bump in the night around here and if we loose that we loose everything." She said to bubbles as she crawled along it.

It didn't take her long to reach the room she was looking for. She looked through the vent and frowned as she kicked it out and dropped to the floor almost silently. Huge takes full of different colors of water filled the room. The computer was on a desk high over them that connected to a bunch of cat walks that over looked the pools. She made her way to a ladder and climbed up to the metal cat walks. Her boots made little noise as she walked carefully across them. She looked at the tanks that were pretty far below her and noticed with a little hesitation that none of them had covers and were simply open to the cat walks. There was movement in more than a few of them and it made her a little nervouse as she focused on the computer and kept going.

Kimmi reached the computer but was more than a little jumpy as she started to get to work. She took out one of the .45's and set it on the desk in easy reach as she had been taught. She hated falling back on that, but they were no longer dealing with mindless zombies, and these thing were never someones family member.....she hoped. She listened intently for any other sounds besides the occasional ripple of the water and her typing. She almost didn't catch it, the soft sound of someones shoes on the metal grate, slow and steady. She grabbed the .45 and whirled around, her gun at the center of the forehead of a smiling face. She studied the face and slight recognition hit her. She glared at the thing in front of her. "You threw a car at me, in the last town." The fingers of her other hand were ready to snatch the sai from it's place in seconds if she needed it.

"I'm getting the power back up. Someone programmed a fail safe into this computer and then generator won't run any higher than half. I'm going to hack it, disable it, and destroy it. Then we will have full power." She eyed him but pulled the .45 back a bit. "How do you know what they call me?" She asked as she kept her hand over her sai.

"The creatures here only like the dark. If I get the power up, we can close off the bottom level and use the upper ones for a base of operations." She shrugged. "A home." She watched him carefully and kept the gun out but let it rest at her side. She bit her lip. "How do you know bubbles?"
