lymelady sachiko_sohma God this pisses me off! Someone the central thread thread accusing me of reporting them (not that they don't deserve and i'm glad someone did to be honest) so now her and her "little" friends are ganging up at me and calling me an idiot (no wonder their getting reported) They said shut wasn't flaming but I said calling me an idiot is and that they shouldn't assume things cause that doesn't excactly making them look smart. *hugs* She's like that. It's the, "OMG SOMEONE MAKES SENSE! Better flame them before other people start listening and taking that person seriously!" approach. You make good points, you are not the worst poster in that thread, and I'm not saying that because I'm prolife, I'm saying it because it's true. Thanks, I did report mipsy kitten cause she just went too far. They don't like or agree with me so they flame me. I don't agree with them but at least i'm trying to listen and not flame them.

This has brought up an interesting point.
I was appalled when watching star trek once. In one episode, a planet of clones stole DNA from Riker and Dr. Pulaski. You don't need to know who they are, just characters, but they went, found the clones, and killed them.
I was stunned. They said they had the right to their DNA, and I can understand not wanting a double of me out there, but to kill someone for existing?
Do clones not count as people because they have the same DNA as someone else? Oh wait, I thought DNA didn't determine personhood?
Sorry. Just ticked. DNA is not the ONLY basis for individuality, just the easiest one to pin down scientifically.

karllikespies Pyrotechnic Oracle I'm not sorry at all. YOu can quote me on this Kaiser. She can take her needs and blow them out her a**. I couldn't have put it better myself, I'm sorry but that girl is a flat out b***h with no sense of respect. I don't care if she is pro-choice but she refuses to even remain civil in a debate. She's not the only one. As for a clone, I don't care it has your DNA it's it's still a living thing and it's own person that just happens to look alike.

There were a lot of not-so-bright Pro-Choice arguments in there. The thing that heats me up the most is when the semi-intelligent ones go along with what the not-so-intelligent ones say. They might do this through just ignoring them, but it still pisses me off.

Having a clone would be awesome! xd Although, we probably couldn't live near each other, because I'm pretty arrogant, and I can't stand arrogant people.

Clones wouldn't be the same age as you though, so unless you look strangely like a newborn I think you're safe from a look alike. xd And then of course different experiences and different nurturing will give it a different personality and then it may do things like dye its hair or fall on top of a buring building and look nothing like you.
The only problem is it may not get put into the system and then decide to rob a bank and the only person that would be on file with matching fingerprints would be you, and then they'd test your DNA and then take your children away. gonk Oh the horrors.

*Sigh* This is all why I stay out of the ED. I don't mind debates and having what information I give disputed. WHat I can't stand is when its torn apart and the person doing it has no respect for the individual who wrote it, and calls them a moron or an idiot just because they disagree.
The ED as well as the AG is full of immature bigots with no respect for any one else save for those of their beliefes.

Clones would be the same was as identical twins.
DNA is not the ONLY basis for individuality. It's just the easiest one. Just like with twins, they are shaped by their experiences. They develop physically based on their environment as well as their DNA.
Think about it. Growing up in California and growing up in New York City, where would you be likely to get a better tan? How would your skin develop? The color of your hair? Think back in your on life and try to pinpoint a time where your physical development could have gone one way or the other. As a kid, did you spend time inside playing videogames or outside playing soccer? What did you eat? It all plays into things.

We look at their opinion respect it, and reply to the best of our knowledge. I think you meant to say most pro-choicers are in fact those things you mentioned. But still, they act with such a 'holier than thou' attitiude, and reply with sarcastic posts, rude comments, and personal attacks. Its a live human being (medically) with it's own DNA. It does not suck the mothers nutrients, because the mother never had those nutrients to begin with. Sure there are complications with pregnancy, but discomfort does not come before life. What torques my thread, is that it isn't a person, -until- it comes to a designated time. rolleyes

Sure pregnancy is not a walk in the park and it's always going to be fun (not meant to be) but still kill it just because they don't want it or they don't like the sytoms that comes with pregnancy is selfish and wrong no matter what they say. I can understand some cases but not every woman is going to die or the fetus will have something seriously wrong with it ( they sure make it sound that way).
