Pyroth frowned at Bobby's back. His skewed morals somewhat unsure what to make of the situation. He had lost the odd aquaintance in his lifetime and didn't neccisarily get why she was so upset but the other side of him sympathised, it was odd. His whole life had been about keeping his anger in check, to see it so unashamedly tossed around made him cringe.
He let out a long sigh, standing in silence for a bit before turning back to Billy. "Better watch your back, she's on the warpath." his gaze travelled down to the man's mangled tentacle and he winced slightly "Ouch. Take it those are new too? Better get it checked out at the medic room later in case it gets infected or worse."
Shaking his head again he added "Police brutality, up close and personal, never thought I'd see the day."

"Aye, they're new," He grunted, glaring heatedly as she dissappeared through the jungle. "I'm turnin' into a feckin' octopus an' she's pissed off o'er nothin'!" He hissed through his teeth, the tentacle twitching painfully, his strange, not quite human looking blood seeping from the cuts she had inflicted. They would definatly be very brused. Like he didn't have enough wounds already!

Pyroth nodded "Wait until she starts changing, then we'll probably see how quick she is to get vicious towards people. Some of the islanders are turning into pretty dangerous animals and if she starts throwing her weight around like that.." he shrugged
"I haven't seen you around since the incident at Chubb's duplex, I take it you've been through all the amenities the island offers since then." His tone was scathing, but only towards the rigours of the experiment. "And an octopus, eh? I had an idea but wasn't sure."
His nose didn't much approve of the blood seeping from Billy's wounds, which was a good thing really, kept him level headed.

"Feckin'... bloody... stupid..." He grumbled, staggering down the path a few steps, "Bollocks." He needed to tend to his crushed tentacle. It was hurting terribly. The fact that he HAD a tentacle to hurt terribly still was beyond him. DOn't think about it. It'll go away. "Thanks," He glanced over his shoulder to the Coyote man, "Fer... y'know, helpin' me out. I'm no' very popular a' present, apparently."

Pyroth walked behind Billy, pretty sympthetic with the guy, he seemed to have a face that tempted trouble and was getting the worst of the island. Both times Pyroth had met him, he'd been at a disadvantage.
He waved a paw dismissivley. "No problem. Trust me, if you had a past like I do, you think it's pretty unfair that one guy is getting all the karma. Besides, you've never given me any reason to dislike you."
That tentacle really did look bad, Pyroth could only imagine what it felt like. "Must really ******** with your head to control those things." he said, pointing.
"I know my tail does."

Billy gave a short laugh, stumbling along towards the village, "S'hard t'remember which is an arm, which is a leg. S'like me limbs all doubled," He grunted, "But only wee an' boneless."

Pyroth smirked, he knew only too well the embarassment of new limbs and areas of movement, his tail and ears seemed to be controlled somewhere subconciously and often gave away emotions he didn't want to share.
"Ah well, I'm sure once you get them under control you'll be that bit more popular with the ladies" he chuckled "You never know."
The villiage drew into sight and Pyroth recalled that his package was sue for arrival sometime soon, it was a brighter prospect, especially if they had listened to his request.
"So, what's your name? Y'know just in case someone else decides to preach to me about the "bad man", I'll have a name to rebuke them. I'm Pyroth, though I think I already told you that before."

"Pyroth," Billy stopped, turning to face the man who thus far had been nothing but a friendly, albeit furry, face, and a general relief from the angst that seemed to plegue him no matter where he went on this god forsaken island. "M'names William. Billy," He offered a sucker-palmed, slightly bloody hand. "Bad man? Wha's all this crap abou' bad man?"

Pyroth took the proferred hand in his own half-paw one and gave it a shake. "Nice to meet you, Billy."
He shrugged as he let go "Nothing really, just that for a few days before and after I met you at the duplex people had been warning me to look out for some shady character, mainly Bobby though." he looked dissaproving "Hate rumours though, never believe them. The only thing on this island I believe are my own eyes. Glad I disregarded that bull though, I've met much worse people."
"I'll be sure to put them right if they try and sway me any more."
He glanced ahead of them "So where you off to? Going to get that cut patched up?"

Billy watched him for a moment, digesting what he said as he shifted nerviously, his tentacles resituating themselves befor wrapping around his stomach and chest again, save for the wounded one still in his free hand, "I din' do it, y'know. I swear t'ye. I was set up."

Pyroth nodded, whatever it was, he didn't believe anything that happened here was completely outwith the doctor's control. "If it happened on this island, whatever "it" may be, I believe you."
"They play with us, like toys in some grand game. You know that they threw us out into the jungle for weeks on end? And it was apprarently some kind of test?" he looked darkly up at the labs and the mansion on the hill "I almost killed someone." he admitted "Because she was turning into a deer and my head was so ******** up by hunger."
He flicked his ears back. "So no worries there, they have a hand in everything, no grudges held on my part. I just hope that the one I almost killed out there feels the same way."

Billy stared down the path, his mind working, mulling over what he said. Bring a criminal and known drug addict onto the island. Take away his stash to make him crazy. Set things up accordingly. Everything seemed to click, theories and what-ifs and possibilities swarming through his head, "I shoul' go get this looked a'..." He murmured weakly. "I'll catch y'later, friend?"

Pyroth nodded amiably to Billy "Yep, see you later." and with a brief pat on the other's back, he headed off up to the duplex, pausing only once to turn round and state.
"Hey, I might be getting some pot in at some point this week, providing all goes well. If you ever need to bum a smoke- I know it ain't as hard as what you're used to but sometimes it's worth it to zone out- my duplex is number 5."
And with that and a wave, he headed up back to his duplex, hopeful that the package would be there and he wasn't just guessing in the dark.
He honestly didn't get what people seemed to hate about the guy, he seemed sound as a pound to Pyroth.

For one so against living in the wilderness not so long ago, one might think it odd that Jamal had willingly (or at least, partially) returned to that same wilderness in a desperate attempt to soothe his fazzled nerves after his stint in the cage. The confinement would have been bad enough without the tiger's constant influences on him...but add in the tiger's bitter hatred of the enclosure and the plea for the jungle's security and ta da, hello trainwreck!
He had stumbled into the jungle without a second thought about checking in with Antony or Awen, instantly eased with the musty scent of decomposing foliage and damp earth, and had spent the night in a deeper section similar to his nook back towards the river. Instead of fighting the tiger's influence like he normally did, he gave in and let it take charge, finding that this allowed him a better sense of smell and more acute sight at times; the tiger knew how to focus on particular cues.
It was now that he lounged lazily in a tree, back against the rough bark and a foot dangling below as he rested with half-lidded eyes. However, he was far from unaware of his surroundings. The slightest crackle in the distance made the tiger jumpy, fearing a recapture in that damn cage, thus Jamal could never truely fall asleep. That and he was hungry. Jamal would never stomach eating raw meat on his own accord, but it gave him something to 'listen' to as the tiger calculated it's prey options.

It was a long fall- or at least, in Emelyn's mind, time had stilled for her headlong dash to meet the earth. She didn't realize that she'd been going so quickly over the unearthed roots and uneven ground- not until she stumbled over a particularly gnarled bit of tree that peered up out of the earth. Had she been clipping along at any speed slower, it's likely she would have seen the root, and how silently it waited for a victim, crouched low against the black, moist soil with an almost dark intent. Instead, she had only the time- that long, stretched time as she fell forever- to think about it.
Then she hit the ground.
"God damn it," she breathed, a sharp pain echoing up her left leg. She prayed that she'd not broken anything- for she couldn't bear the thought of trying to survive in the wild with a broken limb... or worse, succombing to human nature and hobbling to Moreau to be fixed. Emelyn squirreled her eyes shut and rolled to her back, ignoring the p***k of those quills that disliked being caged against the earth- and rolled herself up to a sitting position. Only then did she loosen the squeeze around her eyes, and allow them to sliver open to look at her leg. ...It was bloodied- but only slightly, for she'd fallen on a stone. But after a probing examination, Emelyn sighed with relief- it was sore, but not broken.
"Thank god." She crawled to her feet and stumbled a ways before coming across something she'd not expected to see: Jamal. Very changed.
"Oh..." it was more an exhale of breath than a word, so still was she in her surprise.
