Elnara giggled as she opened her door and stepped inside again. "Well, she's got to be used to it, after all she's got so many already ... even I've lost count, and they're my brothers now, too!" She laughed and headed over to the bed to wake the children.
Starr was already awake and dressed, but sitting on the bed next to Storm (who was still asleep), waiting for him to wake up. When Lore and Elnara entered the room, however, her eyes lit up and she crawled over to the edge of the bed.
"Hi Mama!" she said brightly, reaching her arms up to be picked up. "Hi Papa!"

Daeron blinked. "Me?" he asked, somewhat surprised by the question. "Well ... I prepare for my travels, planning routes and so on ... get some extra training in on the mountaintop, bit of extra sparring - it's dangerous to travel after all, and it's best to make sure you're always in top form. Sometimes I do a bit of reading ..."
He shrugged. "Not very exciting, I'm afraid."
Of course there were always his arguments with his father, but still.

"Well you can't have exciting all the time," Lin replied back with a grin, "Where do you travel to? Isn't it a lot of trouble with all the sand out there?"
This coming from the girl who could if you got her attention sit and listen to stories, not exiting was just as exciting at times.

"Good morning Starr," Lore replied as he picked the little girl up, "How are you this morning?"
It looked like Storm slept as hard as he played (or got into things).

Starr giggled and snuggled against Lore's shoulder. "I'm good!" she said brightly. "I sleeped really good, I think maybe because we were so busy yesterday!" Then she cocked her head curiously and said, "What about you, Papa? Did you sleep good too?"
Elnara gently shook Storm and Idhril awake, but neither of them wanted to get up quite yet.
"Lemme sleep," Storm mumbled without opening his eyes, pushing Elnara's hand away. "I'm sleepy."
Idhril just slept on as if she didn't feel a thing.
Elnara was amused, but far from surprised. Storm after all was probably still recovering from his bout of sunstroke, and Idhril was just plain always sleepy.

"I travel to the Westland, western Southland, Eastland, and once in a while the Northland," Daeron smiled. "Ah, and the Borderlands, I nearly forgot. Sometimes I visit people, sometimes I just wander. And you're right, the sand can be troublesome - but that's why I don't travel much in the Elvish Southland. Once you're out of here, though, it's all trees and grass and ... it's so beautiful, I can't even begin to describe it all, there's so much!"
His tone became excited, eager to share his experiences.
"There are many places where the trees are as tall as the castle is, tall and lush and green, and the grass grows wild and thick, and there are flowers, and animals ... and it's all so peaceful, you can't even begin to imagine how wonderful it all is ..."

"Do you make sketches of all those places?" Lin asked, "Or do you write about those places? Because I think there's a lot of people that would like to hear about those places."
She sat down and listened, she had never seen those places, but to her everywhere was a new world for her since the grass when it grew wild grew taller than her and large rocks were islands in sea of grass. The trees were mountains and rabbit holes were caves.

Lore chuckled softly as he reached out to lightly pat Storm's hair. Yes, it did sound like that the two of them did quite a lot.
"I slept very well," he murmured to Starr, which is a good thing since it's going to be a long day."

Starr blinked at Lore in amazement. "Longer than normal?" she asked in awe. "How can a day be longer than normal?"
Elnara kissed Idhril on the forehead, then patted Storm on the shoulder and stood again.

Daeron chuckled a bit. "I have no artistic talent whatsoever, Lin. I can't draw, I can't paint, I can't even sing a decent image. I suppose I could do some writing, but carrying so much paper and the like tends to weigh down the bag, and especially when I travel through the desert I need that space for water and food."

"It just means there will be a lot to do, where the day just seems longer, not that it will be longer," Lore explained with a smile.
He brushed away a strand of hair from Starr's face and chuckled lightly. He supposed if one took it literary that did sound odd.

"Awww....." Lin murmured, "You need a special bag," she told him seriously, "I would be sad if I couldn't carry other things."
After all she never had that problem, she had those special sort of bags where she could carry a great deal and have them not be any heavier.

Starr giggled. "Oh. I see." She looked over at Elnara. "Today is when you're going to see the place where Mama grew up, isn't it?"
Elnara smiled at Starr. "It is indeed," she nodded. "But we'll only be gone a few days, I'm sure. Do you want to stay here with Storm until your Aunt Luthien comes to get you? Or do you want to come with us and see if anyone else is awake yet?"
Starr looked back towards the bed, then looked back at Elnara and pointed at the bed. "With Storm," she said. "I have to make sure he doesn't smack Idhril again."
