"Could... could I go with you?" he asked quietly. He didn't care about school. Not enough to be away from his love. He wrapped his arms around Isaac and shivered slightly. "I don't want to be away from you..." he said softly.
He giggled a bit at Jordyn and his mother. It was cute. "What sort of ceremony would that be?" he ased. "What happens?"

Isaac hugs Akio tightly, sighing at his words. It wasn't fair. Akio was a good student, he had a promising future. it was bad enough to drop out of high school, but to force his best friend and lover to drop out as well? He tries his hardest to keep the sobs in, whisperingly brokenly, "Akio.... I don't want to tell you to stay or come with me.... Its not my decision to make.... Akio, you have so much ahead of you.... If you drop out of high school now.... Just.... Please, please think about it more before making a decision.... I don't want to ruin your future... It's not fair of me.... I love you so much, I don't want to be away from you... but I don't want you to drop your life for me..." Jordyn smiles warmly, "The new man first undergoes a test designed for him, then has goes into the wilderness for a night to receive a spirit vision, he comes back and the next night a shaman confirms his vision, offers him his totem, and presents him with his feathers, which are then braided into his hair by the person he is closest to... then there's a feast, and you're a man! Izzy and I are already men..." His mother nods in satisfaction, confirming Jordyn's words.

He nodded dumbly, not knowing what to do. He never wanted to part from Isaac. Not ever. But no matter how much he complained about it or said how pointless it was, he did care about school. He was caught now. And Isaac wouldn't tell him what to do, either. Was there anything he could do? Nothing came to mind. "We should go with the others..." he said shakilly, motioning towards the door the others had already left through.
He grinned. "That's very different from Mum's... well, I wouldn't call it a beleife, really. I guess you would call it her idea." He laughed a bit. "It's strange the different things that different people can fully beleive in, but so many of them have the same sort of root..."

Isaac strokes Akio's hair, gazing into his eyes for a moment or two before pulling him into another tight hug. he whispers, "Please don't worry about it now... ok?" He pulls back, wiping his own tears away, "Even if we are separated for a few weeks, I'll still love you no matter what... We should catch up..." He takes Akio's hand, kissing it before they walked out of the room. Jordyn nodded, agreeing, "yea... I've noticed it a lot as I've grown up. Reservations are strange... I mean, there are some things that are just as modern as the rest of America, but some things don't change. Growing up in and out of it has been a culture shock..." His mother had stopped listening a while ago, now she was staring over her shoulder, as if staring at something, but nothing was there. Even when Isaac and Akio left the room, the three were to far down another hall to realize it. She makes a small whimpering sound, "Sad... He is sad, Jordyn.... Why so sad? Isaac sad...."

He nodded again and tried to smile, but failed. He couldn't think right now. His mind wasn't clear enough. He kept on hearing the words over and over again in his mind, but he still couldn't come to any sort of decision. He walked as close to Isaac as he could, almost clinging to his hand. His face was blank, expressionless, but anyone who knew him well would know it was his best effort to keep from crying.
He turned around to look in the same direction as the woman, but saw nothing until Isaac and Akio came out. They looked odd. He didn't know Isaac long enough to be sure, but Akio was deffinately on the brink of breaking down. He gave Jordyn a questioning look, but didn't say anything.

Isaac could tell there was something very wrong with Akio. He had seen him cry too many times and he could feel it now seeping from his body like invisible waves, except it was building up to the point that if he stayed like this, he would break down. He could feel it so strong. He squeezes his hand, trying to comfort him. When Jordyn spotted his brother, he slowed to a stop to wait for them. he could tell something was wrong with Isaac as well, and with Akio. They both looked stiff, like walls before crumbling. Their mother glances up at them, looking at Isaac especially, then to Akio. She finally turns her gaze away uneasily. Isaac finally breaks the silence, "Jordyn... can you drop us off at our dorm please... We're both very tired and I feel a little sick..." Jordyn nods even before any explanation, quickly turning and pulling Kyo with him. Telling Kyo about what was happening wouldn't help the situation. He would most likely be mad, with good reason of course. But Isaac and Akio didn't need anything else to upset them right now. He leads them all out to the car, gently orderingKyo to sit in the front beside him with the other three in the back.

Akio didn't look at the others, especially not Kyo. He couldn't bare to meet anyone's gaze right now. He felt somehow seperate, alienated, from the everyone else. Only Isaac and him. It was just them. Kyo understood and didn't ask. It was something he shouldn't know... for now. He got in the front of the car with Jordyn. Everything seemed silent, stiff, almost broken.
The car ride seemed longer than before, now that there was a heavy weight on Akio When at last they reached the dorm he got out, never letting go of Isaac's hand.
((Omigod... ;__; This combined with listening to "Hello" by Evanescence is making me cry. ;____; Well, cry mentally at least.))

Isaac kept gripping Akio's hand as well, saying goodbye to his mother, then nodding to Kyo and Jordyn. He knew that Akio couldn't take saying goodbye to them with this much pressure, so isaac tried his hardest to act naturally and see them off. He watches them drive out of sight before he wraps his arms around Akio, not knowing what to say. He then walks with him to their dorm room, walking in coldly and colsing the door behind them. The power was back on, but the phone line and cable were still disconnected. He sighs softly, whispering, "Come sit with me...." He leads Akio to the couch, as they sat, he wrapped his arms tightly around Akio, leaning back and just holding him. He didn't know what to say and he didn't want to cry. he knew crying would influence Akio's decision, but it was hard. He kisses Akio's forehead. Jordyn pulled out of the parking lot, having hoped that with Akio and Isaac from the car would lighten the mood. Perhaps he was wrong. He gulps hard, it wasn't easy to be cheerful when he knew what was going on. He glances to Kyo, his eyes bright bright green, but they were only that way when he was about to cry or was crying. But hiseyes remained dry. he says softly, "We're not keeping anything from you that will harm you, Kyo.... It's just... It's best if you don't know right now... I'll tell you later..." Jordyn and Isaac's mother was very confused, "Isaac cry... crying much... No tears, but cries much.... Akio too..." Jordyn blinks, suddenly very annoyed with his mother. If she would agree to take her medicine, things wouldn't be this way. He mumbles gruffly, "Be quiet, mother.... This is not yours..."

He leaned into Isaac and shivered slightly. It was cold here... but it would be much colder without Isaac. But he wouldn't think about that now. He couldn't, or he'd fall apart. "I love you..." he whispered softly.
Kyo nodded, watching Akio and Isaac depart. It looked like if either of them left, the other would crumble, like two pillars propped together, too weak to support themselves. He tried to find some comfort in the other's expression, but found none. All there was was sadness and the constant reminder of tears, that something was wrong.

Isaac held him his hands gently rubbing up and down Akio's arms, trying to spark some warmth into him. He could feel his own sadness and Akio's, but for once, his empthy was different. Before he could always feel two definite categories, his own feelings and those of others. They were the same, but separate... But now he couldn't tell where his sadness ended and Akio's began. The words he knewhe had to say hurt even before he totally formed the words in his mind. He whispers, "Akio... please don't keep this in... I'd rather be here for you when this breaks you than to be away..." He ran his fingers through Akio's hair. it was true. He hated seeing Akio cry, but he didn't want Akio to finally cry when he was alone. The car finally pulled in at the reservation and Jordyn callously stepped from the car, getting his mother's bag. he whispers to Kyo, "Please wait here.... in the car... I... I have to speak to my mother... I'll be back very soon...." He left with his mother and kept his word. he was back within ten minutes. He slides into the front seat of the car, tears starting to roll down his cheeks as his fist slams against the outside of the steering wheel. It wasn't fair. it just wasn't fair that his brother should have to suffer for his mother's stubborness...

He raised his eyes to meet Isaac's. THere were already tears running down his cheeks, and his mouth was set in an unhappy line. He burried his face back down into Isaac's chest, fingers clutching at his sweater. Small tremors of greif ran down his spine, but it was nothing compared to how he had sobbed before. He seemed hopeless, undecided, unsure of himself.
He waited in the car uncomfortably, but when he saw Jordyn there was only concern in his voice. "What's wrong?" he asked softly, eyes trying to gain what understanding they could. He placed a hand on Jordyn's cheek and softly wiped the tears away.

Isaac cradled Akio as well as he could, stroking his hair and back softly. He set his jaw, determined not to cry and make Akio even more upset. Once he was sure that he could keep the tears at bay, he could soothe him, "Shhhhhhhhh..... my love.... I'm not going to let you go...." It was hard, not only ded he feel the weight of his dilemma but he could feel the emotions seeping from Akio into him. He clutches him tighter, kissing his forehead, "Remember... I promised I wouldn't leave you... And I'm not leaving you now..." Jordyn turned to gaze at Kyo for a half moment, eyes starting to get red. His chest looked like it was about to cave in with his grasping breaths. He barely flinches at Kyo's touch, but knew that if he wasn't there for him, he'd be much worse. He whispers softly, "So stubborn... so damn stubborn.... She won't take her medicine on her own, too damn stubborn.... and now that Isaac has finally found someone, he has to move back out here to watch over her... all because she's stubborn..." His shoulders were trembling softly.

Eventually, his tears stopped. It wouldn't change anything to cry. It wouldn't help. He moved slightly so he could lean more comfortably into Isaac. His eyes were a little reddened and his cheeks were a little too rosy. His eyes were glistening with the last of his tears. He smiled a bit, but it was a sad smile. He nodded, not trusting himself to talk.
He reached over and pulled Jordyn slightly towards him, while scooting closer to the other. He held the other closely in a comforting embrace, hoping he could steady the other a bit.

Isaac let out a slow sigh, as if fearing that letting it out too quickly would break his own body as well as teh body leaned against his own. He had to do something.... something to cheer Akio up. He didn't want him to focus on the problem at hand right now. He gives Akio a small squeeze of a hug before gently sliding out from under him. He crawls on the carpet to his guitar case. He absently remembers what he used to keep in it, shuddering slightly at how much his body craved the needle right now. He shook away the thought and picked up his guitar is if it was a delicate porcelain doll. He slipped it into position in his arms, sitting indian-style on the floor, facing Akio who was still on the couch, only a few feet away. He began to play a slightly slow song, but it sounded slightly hopeful. he sngin his own language, but there were intonations beyond the words. it was a love song, a slightly sad song, slightly desperate. But a love son all the same. The only recognizeable english word in the song was "angel" that appeared in the chorus.
Jordyn slides over into Kyo's arms, knowing it was unlike him to cry. He hadn't cried in years, but now that he was with Kyo, he had cried twice in the same day. No one could say that was a bad thing though. It felt as if callouses had been broken away from his soul. He whispers softly, "He works so hard, Isaac does... He's had his share of problems and set-backs... But he got into that private school on his own damn steam... And he's with Akio now because he took the courage to venture out and find another soul like himself.... And now.... now.... god only knows... You saw Akio.... I don't know what Akio thinks, but.... damnit, if my mother's stubborness means that they can't be together, I'll never forgive her."

He sat up slightly straighter as Isaac got up to go to the guitar case. This was the second time he had ever heard Isaac play, unless he counted that one time when Isaac had locked the door and Akio had listened while falling asleep. He saw Isaac shudder and was concerned, not having forgotten the needle. He leaned back a bit as Isaac played, his eyes studying the other, a slight smile on his face. The playing somehow made it easier for him to not think about having to decide. It wasn't exactly a happy feeling, but it was easier to bear than the deep ache of having to decided what to do
Kyo nodded and his arms tightened around the other for a brief moment. He wanted to tell the other that everything would be fine, that his mother would stop being stubborn or that some magical compromise or solution would happen. But he couldn't. It wasn't something he could bring himself to say. It felt like such a fake and untruthful thing to say because he didn't think any of that.
((Ahhh... @_@ Sorryy... erggg... I can't even remember what I typed... I think I'm getting sick. *blows nose* I have STanford testing all this week... Dx So I can't miss school... ;_; But I have been so out of it lately...))
