:::But even as he invited her to have a seat with him, she was charging in his direction. Her knees gave out at just the right time so that when she landed, her arms fell right into place around Tavin's chest, and her forehead sank somewhere deep into his shoulder:::

:::She was choking back sobs...whether of joy or reliefe or sadness, it was hard to tell, even she wasn't sure. But she'd waited for almost 3 years...hoping against all the doubt she'd harbored all that time that she would see him again:::

Captain...!

:::She was still trying to keep herself from downright hysterics, and was looking for just one of the many things she wanted to say to him all this time. Just one of the dozens of things she wanted to ask him while she was away, so that she had something solid to think about to keep her from falling to pieces. Only one thing came, and it didn't help like she hoped it would:::

Captain..I...I missed you! crying

:::She gasped a few times, turning her head out so she could catch some more air, and so that he could hear her:::

I'm... I'm alright. I'm still here...

:::Tears kept dripping down as she attempted to steady her breathing, but she was no where nearer to loosening her grip:::

:::But with the Captain's concent, and urging that it was alright now, Cora found herself unwilling to hold back any longer. She didn't think about anything except that things could be normal again, like they used to be, before she was so confused and scared about the brink, and even about herself.

She cried for a good long while, without words, but the occasional sobs. After a while, she'd finally felt a little more calm. Her knuckles started to gain back some color as they loosened, but refused to let go completely. She had stopped crying finally, and was now growing more at peace with herself as she sat there, still breathing deeply, and still silent:::

:::She nodded into his shoulder quietly:::

:::She decided that now would be her cue to give him a bit more space... to get the drink of course. Cora backed off, and stood up, propping her hand on the table for support as she came up. She didn't look at Tavin while she did this, embarassed that her face was probablly smothered with tears and her eyes red and watery:::

Yes... I could use some wine.

It hasn't poisoned me yet...

:::She said matter of factly, as though she'd thought about this to herself before. She grimaced at the glass... it was red and not white, but she thought she'd take it anyway. Assuming from his comment that it was not wine, she took a sniff. She had to clear her throught, which was still raspy from crying:::
