ConsusLata Not sure what you where trying to say since that is not actually a proper use of octal to represent ASCII characters. afaik its perfect encoded 8-bit ASCII into octal http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/O/octal.html

dizzyone ConsusLata Not sure what you where trying to say since that is not actually a proper use of octal to represent ASCII characters. afaik its perfect encoded 8-bit ASCII into octal http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/O/octal.html First of all you do realize that basic ASCII characters are represented with only seven bits, yes? The eigth bit, in the most significant position, must be assigned a value, and is generally used for things such as error checking. For example both 10100000 and 00100000 could represent a space. Although this may seem to be an almost trivial change, it greatly effects the resultant hex or octal representation. In hex this would be A0 or 20. From whatever you attempted to represent in octal it is apparent that you can do little more than use a simple ASCII look up chart and are in fact unfamiliar with the actual application of number systems within software. Also the site you provided is almost as bad as wikipedia. If you want to support your claims use a professional source. That site only talks about the very basics of number systems, and nothing about its role in representing characters within software. Next time make sure that you actually know what you are talking about before offering a rebuttal. I am not even sure how wtf was a contextually appropriate post on your part to begin with.

ConsusLata Confuseus57 ConsusLata FingersMcKenzie ConsusLata Confuseus57 I'm curious as to why you post repeatedly after yourself. Read back a few hundred pages. ughh never mind Alternatively you could just get to know me. It's just it really has no purpose to post after yourself here, a contest to be last, because if you do it doesn't mean you lost any more than if you hadn't, it just kinda takes up space and brings up your number of posts. You do realize that this is the losers guild, yes? It's a bit obvious, but what does that have to do with my statement?

And since will not bother yourself to actually investigate the matter my reasons for multi-posting are none of your concern.
