Hot, Black, and Strong ... except .. im none of those.. so maybe thats how she likes her coffee >.< hehehehe

I'm back, worse for the wear, lol. A friend asked if I could make her a carved walking staff and I was like... um... I don't know I've never made one before. So naturally she asks me to try. I'm like... not for free, thats a lot of freakin' work. she replies and I quote "Thats cool as long as it does end up being more than $2,000 or so I should be able to swing it." eek I was like... okay, I'll try my best. So after Kaliana went down for her morning nap I step outside to find a long relatively straight tree limb and low and behold a nearly perfect one has fallen from an over head tree nearly right in front of my front door. It is a bit thin but I think I can make it work, not sure. sweatdrop
So I get out our tiny camping hatchet and start stripping away the bark. The neighbors that drive by each slow down trying to figure out what I'm up to. They all think I'm a bit off at this point any way so whatever. Eventually my legs and arms are shaking and the hatchet slips, right across the top part of my little finger. Ouch!!! It isn't nearly as bad as it sounds thank goodness but it still freakin' hurts. It didn't bleed very much either and at that point I had so much adrenaline built up that I didn't want to stop and bother with it. So I finished and headed inside to tend to my poor finger. I can't use band aids because i am allergic to the glue they use so I had to wrap a clean fabric bandage around it. I think its going to end up skinned and black and blue but at least thats all. Now I'm a bit lost as to what to do next but I'm googling it, lol. My heart is still racing like crazy.
