She stared at him for a moment, picturing it in her head, and her father's reaction, " That would work! You're such a gentleman.....this'll be fine...." She said happily wrapping her arms around his shoulders"....you'll win him over, it's almost impossible for him to hate you....." She smiled, relaxing a bit more, though her words made it seem like she was still trying to convince herself.
(( =O!! I have NO problems with that!!!! heart XD ))
He smiled and kissed her lips softly before pushing her away, still practicing the fancy way of talking. "Well then, my darling, I think you should get used to being less bold around me. I don't think your father would approve of your actions, and if I may say so, I do believe they are quite improper of such a young lady."
He smiled and winked at her, laughing lightly. This was going to be perfect, even if she still sounded a bit uncertain. He would make it his utmost duty to impress her father and win him over. He had one chance only. It was either instant acceptance and adoration...or instant hatred.
He's not going to be an easy man to fool...not when it comes to his only daughter...but I can win him over.
"Rightly so," he continued to smile at her. "I suppose I'll have to order a carriage. I must be into town to buy a new suit just for the occasion. I have plenty of course, but I think it best I get something fresh. Perhaps you could help me chose? And of course I'll get an official invitation in the mail immediately."
He sat to write the polite invitation, and signed the bottom with a looping signature, adding a nice seal to the envelope. After doing so, he helped Road with her coat before donning his hat and coat.
"Shall we, dear lady?" He asked, holding his arm for her. When she took it, he opened the door and led her to the carriage, keeping a safe distance, not walking too terribly closely. He had to practice this for when her father was around. They approached the carriage, and the driver opened the door for them. Vincent helped Road into the carriage before following behind, after instructing the driver on where to go.

Road walked back and forth in an impatient manner, waiting. Her shoes click clacked as she paced in the living room. Her hair had an uncharacteristic neatness to it, with a headband, holding it back. Her clothes matched, being that today was that important day. Her father had received the letter Vincent had sent earlier that week, and he was none too happy with the situation. She had raised her opinion to him, and he couldn't fight her pleading eyes, so he agreed, and this was where the matter currently stood.
Fidgeting with her hair and pausing to make sure the flower in the vase next to seat that her father would most likely be taking, was set in a pleasing matter, she went back to pacing.
He should have been here by now....he's skipped out...he doesn't want to come..or worse...he's set out assassins to kill Vincent She paused to think of the possibility that he had actually done that, Akuma....he definitely sent them out "This is going to be a disaster..I just know it...." She said as she slipped off the fancy gloves she had been wearing.
Vincent was busy at home, preparing everything, making it all perfect for the arrival of his dearest...and her father. He was ordering the servants about, giving them gracious "thank yous" and ensuring them that if he treated them at all horribly while his guests were around, that it was mere show. In reality, he greatly appreciated his servants, but society would force him to treat them as mere tools.
"Oh thank you so much, dear Millicent," He was hovering over his favorite maid's cleaning, making sure she didn't miss a speck. He checked the time, and realized if he didn't hurry, he wouldn't be dressed in time. He bid his servants continue their work as he rushed upstairs to dress in his new attire.
Going into his wardrobe, he pulled out a crips white cotton shirt, with the finest frills down the front and on the cuffs. Following that, he put on a nicely colored green vest, which matched his emerald eyes. He also changed into some crisp black dress pants and belt, adding a silver pocketwatch. It was far too much to sit around the house in a coat and tails, so over his vest he put a nice velvet robe. He would have one ready for Lord Kamelot at the door, as well as some fine slippers. He ran through the plan in his mind, rushing over himself.
'How do you do? So nice...'..and then I shall lead him to the tea room, and...oh no wait, the coat! His coat comes off. I ask the servant to take it for him. I acknowledge him first, before ever looking at my dearest...
He continued to prepare, making sure everything was straight, his hair finely combed, everything in its place. Soon, almost before he was ready, the doorbell was rung. He rushed to the door, feeling incredibly nervous all of a sudden, ordering the butler to open it for his guests...
As he hesitantly rang the door bell and mumbled his last bit of grievances, the door opened, revealing a quiet well mannered and groomed butler. "Are you the b*****d that wants to take away my baby!?" He tackled the butler to the ground and began to punch him in the face until his face was no longer recognizable......
Road ran towards him and pulled him away, tears in her eyes. "Father!? What have you done!? I LOVE HIM!" She weeped as she layed over the man's mutilated body. "I hate you! I never want to talk to you ever again!"
His heart shattered into a billion and one pieces and he died on the spot, the instant those words left her mouth....
He snapped out of his reverie, just as the door opened, he coughed a bit and and introduced himself, "Good Day, I am Sherrill Kamelot, I believe that a Mr. Vincent Devereux is expecting my daughter and I for tea today." He held his head up high, If this guy wants my little girl, he's going to have to fight me long and hard for her.
