"Three things," Guan replied. "First you could tell me how I am to get a room here. Second, you could let me help you drag Arlen into his room. Finally, you could avoid telling Arlen that I'm here until I get to talk to you at length about how he's doing."

Lily didn't like the idea of keeping anything from Arlen, but she also saw some wisdom in it. Reluctantly, she nodded, then smiled shyly. "Three things done. There's an empty room across the hall from ours; I could get you the key from Ukaia tomorrow. It's open right now." she added. "The second I'll do willingly and gratefully... I hate the thought of him sleeping on the floor. The third... well, I will, but I can't do it for long. Maybe a few days. I don't like having secrets between us."

"I assure you that it will not be for long," Guan said, standing. "I'm eager to talk to Arlen as well so likely the next time I see you we'll get all of it out of the way."

Lily winced at the sound - it wasn't one she enjoyed - then smiled and nodded, heading over to Arlen, waiting for the other man. "I am glad you came... I couldn't move him very far by myself."

Guan followed Lily over to Arlen. "Well, how shall we do this then?" he asked, looking down at the boy who had curled up by the fire, trying to keep his own body heat as close as possible.

"I'll take his feet," Guan said, stepping over to them and pulling Arlen's legs out straight. "He has his clothes on under the blanket, right?"

"Of course." Lily answered rather indignantly. "Honestly... men." The teen went to Arlen's top half, then gently turned him so he was on his back and slid her hands under his shoulders. "Ready when you are."

"I'm ready now," Guan said, already holding Arlen's feet off the ground. "I hope he still sleeps like a rock," he added, lifting the boy up further.

"Oh, most of the time he does." Lily murmured, lifting as the man did. Slowly, she started to walk towards the stairs, looking over her shoulder now and again to make sure she wasn't going to run into anything. "And he will now, I'm sure."

"Good to hear that some things haven't changed," Guan said, keeping an eye out to warn Lily if she was about to crash into anything. "Do you want me to go up the stairs first so you can see where you're going?"

"Nah, I'm getting the hang of it. Stairs are easy." Lily told him with a smile. Indeed, it seemed her words were true; when they reached the stairs, she had no apparent trouble with them.
