"You're welcome, Guan." Lily answered, giggling a little. "And it's okay. If you need anything else, just ask, okay? I'm at your service." she bowed a little, then grinned at him. "Always wanted to say that." she confided.

Lily smiled tenderly over at the sleeping man, then turned her eyes to Guan. "Arlen knows I'm at his beck and call, and it's all time. I'll only be at your service until you leave or I go back to curling up with him and fall asleep."

"Arlen?" Guan asks curiously, his eyebrow perking up. "Not Arlen Sef," he says, a bit disbelieving as he looked over at the young man.

"Yes I do," Guan said smiling over at the boy. "I've been looking for him on and off for about five years now, but he was just a pale scrawny kid the last time I saw him. It's good to see he's not as scrawny anymore."

"You aren't... hunting him, are you?" Lily asked anxiously, ears quivering. "Because I don't get a bad feeling from you, but you could be tricking me, and I don't want him to get hurt, and... and..."

"Hunting him?" Guan said turning back to Lily and smiling reasuringly. "Heavens no. I'm not one of their group. I've been looking for him to help him against them."

No warning bells were going off, no internal alarms sounded... Lily thought a moment longer, then nodded. "Okay. I'll trust you. He really could use some help... he's been so frustrated lately, but there isn't much I can do."

"Thank you," Guan said picking up his tea again. "I'm not that surprised you have trouble helping him. What he has is a fickle and poorly understood gift. It's also quite rare which is why he'll be hunted almost persistently."

"Well..." Lily flushed, realizing she didn't really know all that much. "Um, he can heal, using the White Flame. He can wreath himself in fire to keep from freezing when he goes outside. I don't... know much more than that. And... and... he can't access them right now. Do you know why?"

"He can't access them? I'd have to talk to him about it. The White Flame you say?" Guan asked, sounding impressed. "As for the wreathed in flame, that's more of a side effect than an actual power. If it's not working right now it'll most likely come back when his powers return."
