I prefer dark, disturbing manga.
R.I.P. (Requiem In Phonybrian) is good...
Count Cain is AMAZING. I love Kaori Yuki. Beautiful story, art, EVERYTHING.
Witchblade Takeru is good, although it's a bit graphic for you guys wink I'd consider it R at least.

I highly doubt anyone would SERIOUSLY judge a person based on their opinion of Death Note. Being a fantard is just fun.
If that were the case, I would have died of an aneurysm the last time someone said they didn't like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Instead I just take it as a personal affront towards all I stand for and believe in.

Ah yes Gurren Lagann... Ironically my friend who hates anything with mechas in it liked this one and so did I although I like mechas it went hand in hand. And R-rated... most recent one I read was Elfin Lied... fun manga

Ninko Nogitsune Ryuuk's a BAMF, but my fave character from DN is definitely Mikami Teru.
...I have odd taste in characters.
EDIT: Jeeze, Dark, calm down. Nor's obviously exaggerating. It's just uncommon for anime fans to not fawn over Death Note. DELETE...DELETE...DELETE...DELETE...DELETE...DELETE...DELETE... I love Death Note, Bakuman, Satan 666... The list is a little long and full of Manga we can't talk about here... sweatdrop

I'm such a cheap skate. I don't buy manga/anime I can watch or read on the internet for free. I do buy merchandise such as figurines and anime I will seriously watch multiple times, though.
I own all of Blue Submarine No. 6, Gurren Lagann and Death Note and three disks of Fullmetal Alchemist. As far as manga goes, I only own seven different first volumes of shoujo manga.
Considering the rate at which I burn through manga though, it's for the best. Last weekend I read all of Pet Shop of Horrors, It's Not Like That Darling and Welcome to the NHK. Now I'm rereading Bleach.
...Frankly, Welcome to the NHK scared me. Badly.

I only own the first 24 volumes of Naruto, the first 2 volumes of Soul Eater, and don't own any anime whatsoever.
The only reason I have collected so much of Naruto is that I made a goal to own all of the first arc(so that's through volume 27 for all you morons out there). I collect Soul Eater cause I just love the art style. I don't own any anime cause it's expensive and only seem to come in box sets where I live(that makes even the worst series like $40 a piece. Once I get a job this summer though(and that's a big IF), I hope to buy Gurren Lagann at the least(cause it's probably my favorite anime). I might start collecting the manga too as I noticed it the other day when I went to my local Borders/Barnes & Noble.
