She found an utmost irony in Lady and Mercy's words. Depend on yourself, don't back down, no sugar coating of the truth. But damn it if you don't back down when you piss me off then you're a dumb-a**. If you don't believe in my truth then you're an ignorrant little runt and should be taught respect. She just sighed and nodded. "I have no where else to go... and I want to stay for Chacho and... I guess despite today's events I want to stay..." She thought of pastor Greene back home and her mother and father. Hatred and fear both competing for equal representation in the glares they gave her. No... it didn't matter. Anywhere was better then there.

She looked at Mercy, confused by her conflicting behaviors. Both of them, is that what happened when you got too powerful? You went crazy? She shrugged, might as well, they could hear her anyway. "I just... I dunno... this place is as good as it's gonna get for a while. And crazy as it sounds it's not so bad as where I came from. You wanna know something about my track record?" she asked Mercy, "It has a pretty extensive history of me trying so damn hard to hold onto something that doesn't want anymore than to drop me then one would want to drop a spider..." she shrugged. "I dunno... I ain't never been raped by my papa, ain't never been beaten my my mama... but it sucks..." she swallowed down the lump that had lodged itself in her throat. "Wanting something so bad that doesn't want you back." She shrugged again.

"Ain't . . . isn't a word." *She sighed and looked at her curiously.* "We'll bully and demean you. Get used to it. You are disposable, but you are part of the clan, and that makes you family. This isn't as good as it is going to get for a while. This is as good as it is going to get period. Considering your blood most clans wouldn't even have you. . . we welcome you with open arms and harsh words. No blows as others would. You should be thankful. She paid attention to every thing she thought "It is not the power that makes a person go crazy, me it is my blood and my raising, Mercy I can not really say is truly crazy she just does not hide her nature." She sighed and rubbed Mercy's back "Mercy is right, most clans would not even take you. You would have been killed. But I make my home a haven for those who want safety, and we did not bully you or demean you truly we just told you the truth. If you want bulling and demeaning we could do that."

Aria averted her eyes. "See what I'm saying? Doesn't matter that I know you can read my mind it's gonna creep me out for a while. That s**t just don't happen normally..." she muttered, and for an instant was reminded of her brother in the way she spoke. "I mean... don't get me wrong, I'm glad you didn't try and outrightly kill me. Don't misjudge me as an ingrate. I get it, I'm not worth jack squat because I'm not a full-born vampire... Just..." she sighed, all she had was a pocketful of human analogys and a Vampire audience to entertain them. "Forget it. I understand. I'm greatful for the protection you offer me, eternally. And I may even mean that." She sighed

*Mercy hissed at her and started to walk away.* "You increasingly bore me Welp. Go. Run off and find Lance. Maybe he'll give you the sympathy that I will not." *She rolled her eyes and walked over sitting in Lady's chair flinging her legs over the side relaxing.*

Aria slit her eyes at Mercy, "See... and I thought we were all on the road to hugging and kissing and singing Kumbaya. Keep that up and it'll take years. Come on, you know deep down inside you can't resist my new girl charm." She said and beamed a cheesy smile.

She sighed "It is a habit Aria, old vampires do it with out noticing. I do it because I am master here, I hear everything everyone thinks. And your human analogies work with me, I have lived with in the human world for four thousand years. I stayed away from clans and vampires till I came here five years ish ago."

She smiled at Mercy, but there was an edge to it. She then looked at Aria "Women have our rights, and The rest does not apply to us, we are not all created equal, some are ment to be slaves, happiness does not happen very often in a vampire's life time. If you find it once in a thousand years you are lucky." She snickered at her hug and kisses and sing comment "The chances of Mercy ever hugging or kissing you is highly unlikely and the sing is not likely either."

Aria shrugged, "At least my face would be frozen in a pleasent expression. No one likes a sour puss." She listened to Lady and waited for the 'I told you so'. "It never hurts to be optimistic, to look toward the future in the positive light instead of the bleak and dreary. For instance, you might look at me and say: 'There, there is a girl who will make a fine servant and nothing more'. But I look in the mirror and say: 'There, there is a girl who can't be stopped, can't be deterred. She's gonna make one hell of a leader some day'." she flashed a smile as her eyes took on a dreamy quality. "And if I die before then? Who's to know? Sometimes a society needs change, whether they want it or not...". She smiled at Lady and then glanced at Mercy. "And singing is good for you, you know. Medically proven to boost your spirits. Ever sang like no one was listening? Better than any cheap knock off euphoria blood can produce. I've felt the real deal... that's why I got it tattoed."
