Nami bit her bottom lip and hid more behind the tree. It was a scary sight. Whatever was going on, Nami didn't want to get involve. She;d get hurt and probably die or something.

It seems like they have just about reached a stalemate, destruction would could not be destroyed, and Insomnia's eternal edge. But then Katherine would attack, something Jack was waiting for, and it was finally happening. Jack's eye would appear in Insomnia's mind.. That never blinking faze, staring its hungry stare. It was always smiling, yet always glaring.. Always watching. What was he thinking? What would he say now, that Insomnia's end was coming, whether he wanted to believe it or not. "Checkmate." He liked Insomnia to a certain degree, as he saw parts of himself in most every enemy he has had to devour. But there was only one necessary negative force, he was Jack was haughty enough to believe many years ago that he was that force. And so be it. Insomnia's weapon could cut.. and cut.. but it continues to grow in size.. Force. The hands of the four Gods were simple representations of the strength applied, as he was still holding back, but using the amount he deemed necessary that he has borrowed from the Gods. Katherine could hear that voice. "Never mind trying not to strike me. If you do not give everything you have, I will be very disappointed."

She had been focusing watching the change. She herd his voice knew it was directed at her.. how wrong he was about that.. He felt his power, knew his power. His wouldn't had struck at his even if it was unavoidable. She had thought at first to he would be slightly offended with her interference. "There is no need for that." It wasn't directed at forms it infected through power he would only feel it near by it would never touch him, never. "I couldn't make it hurt you even if i had confused both of your forces which you know well enough i couldn't do." No she knew his to well, had felt it every time she had ever witnessed him like this which in thinking was very few. He had never allowed her to see him like this that much in anytime she could remember which now was even very small. Her voice did sound however slightly weak a undertone of fatigue was felt but something she was trying to keep very well hidden.

(Here. I will be on all tonight, okay. Tuesday's are impossible for me now.)
Insomnia's weapon didn't budge in the slightest, as his body continued to melt under Katherine's advent of power. He completely ignored it, as best he could. It seemed that he would have to kill everybody here, and waiting for the others to arrive was taking far too long. There was a rip through the fabric of time and space, and there in that place were all three blades, exact replicas of each other. come from their respective origins, and returned to right what never should have been. The weapons touched, and there was a flash of light, and when that flash of light was gone, the three weapons were no more. Instead, it had become one weapon with three rubies. "Fools." Insomnia said, before his head disintrigated into that familiar black muck. "It's time to end this, and end it for good." The ruby in the hilt of that weapon glowed, glowed brighter than the sun as thousands of souls could be heard wailing as they were torn apart into what they had been before souls. Now, instead of just staying there, Insomnia's weapon moved forward, intent on only one thing, the gods and souls that backed Jack's power, for wherever that blade touched, those souls would be no more, and gods would find themselves losing themselves. All of his power that he had accumalated over the years was released into an attempt to finish his purpose. After this, it would take him another thousand years of killing to regain his strength, unlike Katherine, whose power regenerated.
The last of insomnia's body fell beneath Katherine's onslaught, but that only ever been a vessel for his power, merely a means to an end, just as serenity had been a means to gather his power from solemn. His real form was near indestructable, because it was his soul, body, and mind all hammered into one. Destroying one would destroy all three.

Everything changes when that dagger disappears from the Plain of Death and Insomnia's power transforms into one weapon. Insomnia's weapon being one that has reaped the death for a thousand years. While this happens, Insomnia (now in weapon form) finds itself facing a thin dark blue line of shining light: Everything that had been pushing against Insomnia is now within that weapon. This means that all that monstrous energy has to be spent and broken in order to break the weapon. Upon the opposite end of that weapon Jack stands. Holding that weapon in one hand, he is slowly pushed back inch by inch as Insomnia aims to kill him. Why has he not trapped Insomnia? Why were they not upon the Plane of Death, in which he could drain all of Insomnia's life force away? It is because he does not want to kill Insomnia, it was not his job to. It is Katherine's job. Not to mention when it comes to fighting face to face with anyone his full strength is not utilized with close-ranged weaponry, it is with pugilism or traps of high level arcana. "Perhaps I am a fool.. Perhaps not. But, you have come with a bargaining chip such as this.. It would have taken you five thousand.. no.. then thousand years of gathering power in order to give me the justice you seek." He would remain holding that weapon which does not seem to give way as it is held before him. Despite the fact that Insomnia's power was all forged into the tip of that sword, and when concentrated there it should have been, and in all rights, was more powerful in a single point than Jack could ever be. Blue sparks would fly in every direction from the contact of both weapons and Jacks gaze would travel aside, slowly that slitted pupil lands its raptor-like gaze upon Katherine, the gaze of a bird of prey. He was waiting for her to end this.

The moment her power let up was when his body was gone and the sword was now in Jack's hands. She stood there for a momet of doubt a moment of utter doubt, she didn't have the power of the gods she had the weapon that was herself, something like what Insomnia had turned himself into but much worse, though she couldn't use it, she couldn't waste it on him when there was something much worse than him waiting. Yet Jack watched her, and she had to do something, something because he wasn't going to be able to do anything. Her hands held nothing now one of her small daggers discared at Matachi's feet. She swallowed hard as she got the idea in her mind. She was like the gods, and then not like them, more of there creations but her soul was given to her not by the gods but there maker as well.. she hoped that counted for something, she hoped that counted for what she was about to do. She went forward towards Jack.. He couldn't carry that weapon could he, if so he would be unstopable but she.. If what he had told her about the light was true, and if her soul was strong enough she might could hold it, might could take hold of that massive power. Her hand. She was in front of Jack. "I hope you were right." She said before she stopped in front of him one hand taking the hilt above his, the other the bottum below. Her power was felt but it was different, much different than it ever had been before, "Let go." She was close to tears braceing herself when she said the words, if she wasn't strong enough if it didn't react it was going to plunge for her or him. When her hands touched the hilt her power went up it twisting around, not infecting but not in the same way. It was searching it out manipulateing it, tricking its power to fit into her, to trick it into doing as she wished it would. The power was more than she had ever delt with and because of that it was very hard to concentrate to shift through all the walls and barriers to make her own power trick them, bend them to her will.

Matachi this entire time had collapsed, the power that was in this area had take its toll on his semi mortal being. His body was basically being crushed and now his sidiion was off so he was a mortal all the way. Not able to filter or dispose of it, he began to bleed like before but now he was completely relaying on Katherine to spare his life.

The blade unleashed more power than before, focusing more and more on Jack. Insomnia had to take care of Jack before he could deal with Katherine, maybe take her as another host to live again. "You forget what I am, immortal." His disembodied voice muttered. That was when Katherine grabbed the hilt. His power recoiled, thousands of particles of pure energy, bombarded her, for that was not a place he liked to be touch, but to no avail. It moved around her, missing her by the width of hair. Insomnia would have gasped if he had made a mouth for it.
~ Paradox rose from his kneeling position. "I cannot fight him, for we can never harm each other." He had said during insomnia invasion of the capital. "I grant you my shield, Katherine." Paradox said, shaking from the effort. "It will protect you from the gods, among other things." He had said long ago ~
Paradox's shield repelled the power, so Katherine could use her own without fear of harm. Her closeness to death also helped, for mortals were the only ones who could control the blade, or be controlled by it. The power of the blade did as Katherine wished it would, even stronger than her own at full, but she could feel it weakening by the second, for it was a burst of energy, that would be quickly dispelled, leaving her holding the blade of insomnia, the weapon, The weapon that had been born when Insomnia as the human had died. The ruby faded to a dull throb, again.

She let it dull, her power hadn't stop had rode the wave of it, in truth she had forgotten about Paradox and the shield it had been so long ago she had forgotten about all of that. Her purple eyes looked up as the blade dull, still deadly and lethal but now.. now it didn't have a mind of its own, now the little bits of power that were left she could command could control. She took it easily from Jack then looking down at the thing holding it out away from herself slightly amazed. Should she destroy it? Send it to Jack's world of death? Should she keep it, use it? She didn't know the answer, things had to move quickly now when Matachi was knocked out and couldn't control her, now that this was done other things had to move. "Jack, we need to find Paradox." Her purple eyes looked to Matachi's passed out form. She looked back to Jack, she felt silence she was weak but wasn't going to fall not yet, not now. "I have a kingdom to take back before he comes."

"Yes, Katherine." Paradox said, as he came from where he had been standing before, from the burned forest. He moved as silently as he ever did. His black cloak flowed behind him. He glanced at the blade, "What do you plan to do with Insomnia?"
Inside the castle. Caliver staggerd, as he felt some essential part of him rip. He fell to the ground, coughing up a nasty strain of blood. He wasn't smiling anymore. He dragged himself into a corner, paniking about what had happened to Insomnia, his god. He could feel his unnatural strength draining away, as the connection lost it's meaning. "no." He whispered, huddled up.

"I..I ..don't know" She said turning to look at Paradox. "What should be done? " She then looked past him a Caliver, "What about him to?" She knew she should send him to his death but he had been corrupted maybe.. maybe this would be different now. She looked back to Paradox, "I don't think this could be destroyed, i could send it to jack plane or keep it.. what should be done with it?" He knew more about this than she did.

Paradox walked up, and looked down at the blade. "Insomnia was always a weapon of destruction." he made no move to take it, and instead left it in Katherine's capable hands. "It can be destroyed, but it's difficult, katherine. It only has two natural enemies, Time and mortals." Paradox turned away from her and the blade thinking. "Keeping it? If it ever fell into the wrong hands, another insomnia would be the result, and it won't stay long in the world of death, like it didn't stay long in the realm of the gods. I do know a place it could be left until it devours itself." Paradox walked over to Caliver, looking down at the pitiful man. "Do you know this man, Katherine?"
