Based on the Shinobi handbook, there are no base rules on personal/character-ist memories...only about the memories of techniques.
So I would side with Yuan and say they the personality and personal memories would be erased. Seeing as the 'new' Shinobi would not be raised the same way, by the same people, or have the same friends. Even when I died my character made an alignment shift do to this.

The other mods have no say in it. Gold is the one in charge of the way the exam works because he cleared everything with Drago. At least Gold had said he was working everything out with Drago before he started. If thats the case, then it really doesn't matter what Komenusai thinks.

Omg drop it everyone.
If chisato wants to challenge Gold's rule she should Pm drago with her fair argument since he has the power to overturn those rules. If that doesn't solve things then the mods will congregate to come to a decision.
I personally didn't like that obliteration rule Gold placed but at the moment nothing can be done

If Gold did indeed get Drago's permission to do everything he did, then a single mod like Komen, or member like Valk does not have the authority to tell those involved to do something different. Chisato's conversations with Valk and Komen, and the conclusions they came to mean absolutely nothing. If Chisato wants to change what is supposed to happen then she needs to talk to Drago directly. Thats what I have been trying to say.
