Faust continued to cut into Manta, who whimpered and cried pathetically. Faust laughed at Yoh struggling.
"Howl all you wish," he said to Manta. "Your friend cannot even help himself."

((It might help to read the actual fight. ^^ At this point, what happens is Yoh whacks Faust over the head with his sheathed sword and draws blood. Faust drops like a rock, and Yoh checks on Manta. ))
