[King_Chaos] Shadow__Dweller I have a question about Iron Man...what is that "one instance of profanity" that's mentioned in small print on the trailer?? It made me laugh when I read it..."action violence and one instance of profanity"...ONE INSTANCE?! I don't want to watch the film to find out what it is so can someone tell me? It amuses me. xp First of all, you do want to watch it to find out, because it is an amazing film. Secondly...I don't remember the one instance. sweatdrop It doesn't interest me. I don't like comic book movies especially ones that are technology based..if you know what I mean.. sweatdrop

Alrighty, to each his own.
I have to say, I saw the Indiana Jones flick and it would have been really good if they didn't have aliens. sweatdrop

The action was entertaining and the acting was good, even from Shia..the storyline was just a let down. The ending of a film always sways your opinion because it's the last thing you remember and it's what the whole film builds up to, and the ending was total rubbish in my opinion, so I've lost my fondness for the rest of the film, which overall, wasn't that bad. I just don't think it was anywhere near as good as the previous films...and it feels like this film has made a brilliant series seem like a farce...it was just too silly for my liking.

Yeah, I think they got too carried away trying to bring back the feel of the old films and setting up Shia to be the next Indie, and that let them lose track of the main storyline. However, I did find the Greaser v. Jocks fight and the sword fight on the cars to be very entertaining. 3nodding

I think they spent too long getting the feel of the period right. While it was very acurate, you can't just base a movie on going "look, this is how the 50's was folks!" I agree that they spent too long making Shia the next Indy, which he will never EVER be. I just really hope they don't make any son of Indy films..that would truly suck and I would love to put a bullet in George Lucas' head if he decides to do that. The action was decent but I think this was the main reason why I didn't like the film...there was no sense of peril..the action was enjoyable but I never felt like I was on the edge of my seat..there was no excitement at all. The film just felt very, very flat.

Yeah I know, the older films had the feel of danger in there. They made you feel if he messed up then the treasure would be lost. However this film didn't share that feeling.
Sadly for you, they have begun talk of the 5th Indiana film, and have said that they plan on Shia being the main character with a Harison Ford camio. sweatdrop

I know Lucas said he was interested in a 5th. Apparently he always planned 5 from the start. But Shia as lead?? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH crying

Yup, that's what I've been hearing. I wonder if he will use a blade to replace the whip and a comb to replace the hat. xd

haha. There's a rumour that Shia has signed on for 3 more films. Harrison said if Lucas and Spileberg came to him with a good script he would do another film. But I didn't think Crystal Skull was a good script so I'm not filled with confidence. sweatdrop

lol that's how I felt before I saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now I'm not so sure I'd like to see another Indy film. My imagination is better than the reality of the movies.. sweatdrop whee I just end up thinking of all the possibilities Lucas and Spielberg could do...and yet they chose the way they did regarding plot, script and..well..action. sweatdrop I'm not saying I could do any better...they're the movie makers, they invented Indy in the first place..that makes them geniuses...but I think there is a point where it's best left to my imagination rather than taking it any further..

I saw an interview with Lucas, and it turns out that he's the one who basically forced the aliens into the script. Now they said there was some compramising, but it was his idea. sweatdrop xp

Yeah, they said they compramised on it, so I'm afraid to know what his original plan was.
