'Whatever feels right." Araediane replied and fell silent. They had reached a..garden, of sorts. There was a shrine set up near the centre, but, there, right in the middle of the garden..was a pilliar of some sort. She walked over to the shrine and answered a question she felt hanging in the air.
"All those who have been inside that room we shall now enter. It is customary to pay your respects first, and then add your name." There were two tablets on the shrine. Engraved in flowing script on one was, Entered and on the other, Returned. There was a total of fifteen names on the first, and none on the second.
Arae watched the shrine, remembering. A part of her felt impatient to get going, to be inside that room again..to feel..alive. Her name was on neither tablet. But it was there. There was another tablet..deep within the stone shrine. And it was on that one, which her name was engraved.
She stepped back, allowing the others to see the shrine. "Every man, woman, elf, human, dwarf or dragon, who has ever had the foolishness, courage, bravery and insanity to venture in, has their name recorded, by their own hand or claw, right here. From the very first day this place was discovered. Add your name when you feel ready. I will meet you there." Araediane walked over to the 'pillar'. It wasn't really. But it was a good way of putting it. It at least made sure nobody but those who wanted it stepped through to It. Only if your name was on a tablet could you enter. And thus, many elves still remained ignorant, though it be the centre of their city, and livelyhood. Diane had the fleeting impression of a castle..or, the elvish standard, built to protect this place.

Sora looked at the pillar through which Arae had stepped through, and placed his hand on the cool stone. Solid stone met his fingertips. He pushed forward, and it didn't budge. "I guess we really do have to have our names on those tablets," he said, and walked over to it. He looked over the list of names, which varied from Dragon to human to elf...even to dwarf. He placed his hand over the tablet of stone, and in a breath of Ancient, a light shone under his hand. He removed it, showing his named etched deep into the rock, joining as the sixteenth person. Something about this place assured him, similar to the clearing near here, where Alianae had instructed him to take his powers as Key.
Kalios stepped over to the tablet next, and in the same Magical procedure, had his name etched upon it. Seventeenth person. He didn't know why, but this seemed familiar to him. Whether it was from the endless dreams he had, or an actual memory, he had no clue. But it was there, nagging at the back of his mind.
Terra looked upon the tablet, and pointed a claw at the tablet stone, using the nail to claw her name into the stone. Eighteenth person...er...dragon. She stood next to Sora and Kalios, who were patiently waiting for the rest.
"Are you guys going to sign?" Sora asked Minasia and May calmly. "You don't have to go if you don't want to."

"They will have to wait. From the start, Destiny binds people together. You three are bound. But while your fates with Minasia and May may intwine, your destinies remain apart. Only you three may enter now. Your names have been writ, and none who do not share your destiny may place theirs until your names appear again." Araediane said, beside the pillar.
She was..curious, as to what they would find inside. It was always different. But the outcome..now, that had always been similar. Not one of them had ever been seen alive again. Oh, there were the legends, the rare glimpse that might have been him, just might have. For, how would tradition and culture survive without myth? Belief? Wonder?
"Are you ready?" Ready to see, and experience that which you have never even dreamed of before?

Sora looked at Araedinae, and then at May and Minasia. Doubts started to enter his mind, about his chance of survival, where he would end up...and whether he would see Alagaesia or Minasia ever again. He walked over to Minasia, and looked into her eyes. He almost couldn't bring himself to look at them.
"I...I'm sorry, Minasia," he said, almost looking down in shame. What he was sorry for? He didn't know himself. But in the abyss of his heart, it was obvious. "I love you," he said, and held her in a tight embrace, as if to take her with him through the pillar.
Kalios looked at May, his cold eyes melted into sadness. He couldn't bring himself to go up to May and perform the same gesture of emotion that Sora had. At least, he normally wouldn't. But he felt himself being pulled to her, trying to express himself, his feelings, his hopes, his dreams. But the words were choked at his throat, stuck in a gelatinous mess of fear and phleghm. He touched May's shoulder lightly, and felt a claw at his mind, through Sora's. He recognized Terra's voice, soothing to his mind. Come on...Let's go, she said.
Kalios and Sora separated from the two noble elves, and headed to the Pillar. "I'm ready to go," Sora and Kalios said to Araediane, Sora's eyes red as tear slowly streamed down his face. A sole tear rolled down Kalios's face as they stepped through the Pillar, and into the Unknown with Terra and Araediane.
((I know, I know. Probably too dramatic for now. But it's the beginning of the end. I might as well make it some-what melodramatic...))

Araediane watched them enter and turned to follow. She hesitated and turned back. "Wait for me." she said simply. "Whatever happens, whatever you hear, wait for me." Her eyes fell on another stone tablet, one which everyone overlooked. On the floor, just touching the shrine..was a list of the dead.
She stepped through the cool pillar, feeling it's familiar tingle. Her eyes closed as she tasted the sweet magic and a blissful smile broke out.
What do you see? she asked Terra, feeling it relaying across to Sora and Kalios too. Tell me where you are.
Everyone who entered this room..met with something different, and it was always the same for that one fate. Araediane could see them all, if she wished, but right then, she needed to find their fate.
((Think about it, and give their fate a name..))

Sora looked around him from the moment he entered the pillar. Immediately in front of him was a large granite stone, on which undescribable characters flittered across the polished surface. He saw a collection of the same marks emerge from the rocks, and look towards him. The characters blended together until they formed a flickering human body. It appeared to be him, just...older. One of the marks was shining brightly on his forehead. Shur'tugal Hljödhr. He then said in a quick mind-link to Araediane, "I see a Silent Rider."
Kalios saw a different place than Sora, although Sora and Terra's mind both superimposed on his, as his no doubt superimposed on theirs. He saw a battleground, with skeletons and decomposed bodies fighting on one side, and on the other, a scared army, armed with swords that were swarming with the same characters on Sora's stone. He saw a version of himself, standing next to a woman bearing a bell bandolier. Fricai abr Freohr. Kalios then made his own statement to Araediane. "The Friend of Death is the path Destiny laid out for me."
Terra saw a completely different fate than those of Sora or Kalios. She saw a long, deep tunnel, with no light. She saw a young elf running into her stretch of tunnel, and a spirit familiar to the Riders, and to the dwarves. Du Gata Deloi. Terra's turn to give in her fate's name. "I see The Earthed Path."
They had all given in the names of their fates, and now were waiting on Araediane to make her next move.
((This is the best I could come up with...sorry if it doesn't go up to plotline sweatdrop .))

She nodded. this would be tricky. Then seen yourselves together. Come as one. Even three branches as far apart as yours must join onto a trunk at some point. Come together there and become one, whole tree. Yes. She though. Come to say your farewells.
And while she waited, she thought. The Earthed Path..laying hidden for so long..with barely any for company, and she felt Tronjheim call. We will take her.. the city seemed to call. And so she accepted it, and moved on.
Friend of Death..Tronjheim still called, but another part..a walled up place..where another world nestled. And the word came to her..Abhorsen...and they spoke, while the Abhorsen wandered further into Death. Let him come..let our blood be stong..let the future be..the dead are only dead. And that was realised, and his place set.
And now..the hard one. The Silent Rider..many places called to her for him. The Old Kingdom again, the Rock of Kuthian.why, even the pillar itself called for it.
Tell me..Sora..What do you see on your path? Tell me as you come here. Tell me.

Terra felt her mind crawl through the branches of Fate that had become open to her through this window. She dragged Sora and Kalios' Fates along with hers, back into a time where they were together. Seemed like this was a long branch of Fate.
Finally, she got to the point where they were last together. Their Fates were harmonized one final time.
They were outside the Pillar, with Minasia and May as well. Araediane was there, and the spirit of Alianae could be felt looming heavy.
And then they were separate. Kalios and Terra went one way, with a shimmer of Fate accompanying them, south to Tronjheim. But Sora...he went a stray path in the Woods, following Araediane's movements. There was another place he had to go, close and far to all, at the same time.
I see the Rock of Kuthian, Sora told Arae. In Alalea.

Araediane nodded. As I expected. She paused and turned to speak to all of them.
Even three fates as yours must split, and all must go their own way. There is never one path exactly like another's. Here is your split. Three souls, one for each land. Sora, the Silent Rider of The Rock of Kuthian goes to Alalea, Terra, dragon of the Earthed path shall take Alagaesia, residing in Tronjheim, and Kalios..Kalios will return. You are called to Death, and the Dead of the Old Kingdom and it's Abhorsen.
And so, here you part. But do not despair, in the end, your fates are interwined, and even a slit across the lands such as this cannot tear apart such a bond.
May you remember, May you see, and may you know, that the Wardens and the Powers, are forever guarding you, and watching.
The three paths spit off, and, just at the fork, a..spirit blurred into vision. Fricai abr Frehor, I will see you home.
Du Gata Deloi, it seems our fates have met. It will be a rather interesting way to go. And at least, we will have another to talk with through the long centuries. The dwarf-named Isidar Mithrim said, a smile playing at her lips, and a sparkle in her eye.

Sora, Terra, and Kalios looked at each other from the distance. Even after such a short time, they were separated from each other by Fate. While Kalios and Terra were with each other on their voyage, it seemed that they were millions of miles away.
Sora quickly sent one last thought to the others, who had been part of his life for so long. We'll be back together, one time or another. Whether it's in Alalea, Alagaesia, or this new "Old Kingdom," we'll still meet up in the end. Araediane said. He couldn't escape the feeling that they wouldn't see each other again, though. They would be sent to three different lands...three different worlds. What Fate had in store for him was a mystery, as well. Few even knew of the Rock's existence, and of those few, only the immortals knew what it was for. Kalios would be leading an army with Death. Terra would be watching over Tronjheim...but Sora was lost in the woods, unsure of his future, whether or not he'd even see another elf again.
The three turned back, grouped into two groups. Kalios and Terra went to Tronjheim with the spirit, only to be split apart there. And Sora went down another path, with Araediane in the lead. "Let's go then."

Oi.... This is a sad, sad tale indeed. A tale... With no end, I fear, as one of our main arteries has been cut off. And, in any case, it was simply a matter of time before this died off...
Ah, 'tis a sad day indeed, the one I realise Sorani is gone... I've lost my romantic partner... Because, I don't know if you realised it, but we mostly paired together in every RP we possible knew. xD
T'was fun while it lasted, and fun in our minds As we leave the future to us, and the past, behind.
..Wow. I didn't notice how poetic that was. xD In any case... Hm. Get other people to- WAIT! I know. We make an other thread - The return of the Wardens. In it, there'd be...Five people. Two men and three women. The two men would be Kalios and Sora's souls locked in different bodies; they might have made the tranfer some time before they died in the great assult on Galbatorix. Which, as we all know, failed. MISERABLY. May and Minasia would've done the same thing, strictly renouncing and REFUSING to accept their condemned fates, sealing THEIR souls in the bodies of newborns. Alianae... Well, I don't know WHAT she does then. xD
That would be... The next generation. But, it's still too far back. We need to go through two more generations. THEN, that's when we come into Eragon's time. The Wardens would be... Like his secret guard. Protecting his while he's in his own little world of pure bliss, blood and battle(yay the three b's!! xD). And we could start from there, and have someone take two premades; Sorani's characters.
I don't know if this could actually work... It's an idea that just hatched in my head... And, even though it just hatched, I think that there's already an other RP we have that resembles this, right...?

Wow..the story of the Wardens is so..complicated..how would you explain it? So many details..forgotten.. Minae, May, Kalco, Sora, Kalios, Alianae.. Ruialusia, Luirasua, Saurulia.. Red Magick, Blue Magick, Green Magick..The Sorcerer(?) who locked away their memories..The Key to Unlocking them..
I suppose..you just have to pick a few details..for this new RP.. Good Luck Minae!
