/To think I had at one time respect for you, woman./ The Seer sneered. /By that statement alone do I wish I could have left you in the Shelter. You promote me as a follower of blind obedience. What foolishness is that.
/What point is there for me to investigate further? What point is there in me doing so? If I see someone who's disposition and appearance causes me to dislike them, then why should I seek to learn more, and by doing so, second guess myself. Doing so puts you beneath everyone else, and a slave to those who's opinions might contradict your own. To have someone live by that alone is pathetic, but for one to promote it as a beneficial way of life? Truly, helping you was hardly the lesser of two evils in the stead of aiding Coyl./

An' if you honestly think it ain't right to second guess yourself, then you're blinder than I thought. I never said you should be a slave to opinions that might contradict your own, but you sure as hell shouldn't be a slave to your own opinions. A truly wise man knows that his knowledge is limited, not a man who believes it is unlimited. An' the accusation of blind obedience only came when you refused to give me a decent reason for the actions."

Belief that oneself is good enough to fight for is one of the greatest traits that you can hold, and in turn, one of the traits most discarded. /Second guess yourself when there is need, but if the only point to it is for the sake of something else, then point is lost. You would attempt to find the good in that which has none, and all the while under the banner of being a good person. It is called naivety, and damns./

Take it to the Angel, take it to Bolton! Take SOMEWHERE where SOMEONE can do it good! We have greater, more pressing woes than some super with flamoyant hair and is a five-second man!"

Ruby glowered, "Sug, I never said anythin' about not defendin' yourself, or your right to an opinion, or always second guessin' yourself. I'd need no reasonin' to protect myself, but I'd feel obligated to understand the situation a bit better 'fore I tried to strike back out of anger. An' granted I'm usually too hot tempered to even do that. But can you honestly tell me you wouldn't stand to protect a friend? By your own logic I shouldn't be even concerned about the reasonin' behind your attack, an' yet that's what you've been tryin' to hold over me. You're saying it's somethin' greater than I am, somethin' I can't understand. Well I don't need to understand in order to do what I think is right, an' protectin' my friends is what I think is right. Now I could go an' second guess myself on that, but you just argued against doin' that too."

"I find it flattering you have found such an effective use of my military, however, I think we are overzealous. You present a final soultion to a very temporary problem. I can remove our friend from the city. That is not an issue. However, such conforntation, in MY city, with people that are sworn to protect it. Well-known heroes to the pepole in this city, not to mention. This is unneeded. Let me remove him, and then we can speak more in depth, when clearer heads prevail."
