@Craig: I'm training a Pupitar at the moment. 3nodding I think he's at level 44 right now.
@Riya: Regarding Spiritomb, if you've got two DS's, two copies of Diamond and/or Pearl, and a lot of time to kill, its easy to get Spiritomb.
Here's what you do: About half way between the 2nd and 3rd gym, you talk to this dude and he gives this item called an Odd Keystone. You can get a second in the pond in your home town and more in the underground, but they're really rare. It looks like this:  After getting the item, go east from Hearthome City and you'll find this little well. Press the A button on it and it will ask you if you want to put the Odd Keystone in the well. After you do that, set up your 2nd DS (or if you actually have some Poke rl friends, unlike me, go bug them) and go underground. Set your 1st game to go underground as well and talk to the 2nd DS's player, then leave the underground.
DO THAT 32 TIMES IN TOTAL. D: Then when you go back to the well, press A and a wild Spiritomb will battle you. biggrin Its a bit long and tedious, but Spiritomb's an excellent Pokemon. Its dark/ghost type so it has no weaknesses, and its better then Sableye imo.
As for nicknames.. I always complain about mine ( srsly, Flame for an Infernape? D: ) but honestly, if you like the nickname, then its alright. :]
My Emerald game had the best nicknames I've ever used imo.
Sceptile - Silva (Latin for forest)
Golem - Lios (Soil backwards)
Mawile - Onna (Mawile is said to based on the legend of the futakuchi-onna)
Milotic - Drakainai (She-Dragon; from greek mythology)
Salamence - Norberta (because my Salamence is female and I am a Harry Potter geek :])
Blissey - Genki (Japanese for cheerful)
Any kind of obvious nickname in a different language or anything from mythology is a sure winner.
But really, what I'm trying to say is, they're your Pokemon, and you should choose nicknames that you're comfortable with for them. I mean heck, when I first nicknamed my Squirtle on LG, its name was Bubble. Bubble. D:

My squirtle was Bubbles. biggrin My pokemon team though, on Diamond, have weird names. D: Empoleon - Kipper (My Archer's name in FF Tactics Advance) Staraptor - Johanes (Hunter in same game D: ) Froslass - Yuki (Cuz she was based on the japanese Yuki-Onna) Bibarel - Laurent (My mom's boyfriend's name xd ) Glaceon - Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat nerdyness D: ) Toxicroak - I'm keeping his name the way it is because he's too cool for a nickname. :3 Oh, and.. -takes mask off because she can't breathe x___x-

@Luce: Well, Cry is the only shortening of Craig I can think of and like. Because it's that or 'Iggy.'
I've started giving nicknames automatically now. It's weird. My current team is;
Supertramp the Monferno. Named after my favorite band because I couldn't think of anything better at the time, but I might rename him Mariposa or Suguru later on and have a team that consists of the Fated Princes.
Mr. Peeps the Staravia. The FEMALE Staravia. She's the Mister T of the pokémon world.
Shatter the Geodude. Leave me alone, I'm boring.
WondeRose, formerly FlowerKid the Roselia. I like putting two words together, sue me.
FangWave the Gyrados. Simple but spikey.
HairRaiser the Luxio. I was listening to the song when I caught it. *Weeps.*

OH MY GOD, ITS PINK. *flails* I totally forgot shiny Pachirisu were pink. D: I want ooone. I need to start attempting shiny chains again.
Also Jacqueline for Magcargo is win. :'D
Here's one of mine:
Oro is Italian for for Gold or something IDK it was a random nickname because 'holyshitIjustcaughtashinyLatiasD:' and now that I sent it over to Diamond I can't rename it. Woe. ~__~ I should have called her Lucky or something. ♥

And yes, I loves my Magcargo. xD She helps me hatch eggs because, apparently, pokes with Flame Body cut hatching time in half, and she's the only one who has that. D:

o.o I does the pokemon too ^-^
I started giving out names from animes I've seen and watched, and that I liked, and some have original names. Most of my pokemon have been transfered to Diamond...
My main team consists of:
Rayquaza, who is my favorite and the star in my game ^-^ I've named Orochimaru, obviously off of Orochimaru from Naruto, I love him <3
Vaporeon, who is my second ^_^, whom I named Alutis, for no real reason, I don't even know where I came u with the name... *shrugs*
Flareon, who I named Alucard, from Hellsing ^-^
Dragonite, named Itachi...also from Naruto, though he looked cuter before he evolved....oh well.
Those are my main four, but I change the last two between these:
Jolteon, who I named Lestat from Anne Rice, I thought it fit him...I guess since Lestat is sort of electric, and Jolteon is electric...
Luxray, Sirius...from Harry Potter v.v
Umbreon, Eclispe....Demon Diary
Espeon, Yue...Cardcaptor
Gyarados, Piers...Golden Sun <3

Since everyone's putting down their Poke'mon team names, I'll join in too. My dad thinks I give my Poke'mon the weirdest names but I think odd names are what makes them stand out more. XD (And all of the names are actually in capital. 'Cause I'm lazy.)

And I see you like the Eons. 3nodding I have an Umbreon on my team. He's kickass. Do you have Diamond/Pearl yet?
OMG RIYA. YOU HAVE AN AGGRON. ON LG. THAT IS AWESOME. *never thinks of trading/using Kanto and/or Hoenn Pokemon on the opposite games*
Also Queen Bee for a Beedrill is hilarious because of this Pokemon here ( okay Beequeen is its Japanese name, still don't know how they got Vespiquen though D: ) Vespiquen is an awesome Pokemon. It leans Attack Order, Heal Order and Defend Order, three moves that only she can learn. :'D I have one on my Diamond, level 21, nicknamed Hive (LAWL AT NAME) and I love her. I need to train her more. ♥

gonk You're aware that you can save in front of a Combee tree, and soft reset, right? The Pokemon will always still be the same, but the gender won't.
There's a 12.5% chance to get a female Combee. But if you save in front of the tree, and keep soft resetting, you will eventually get a female one. ♥

Jen: I got an Aron from my brother... mainly because I pestered him to trade me one. Aron's such an adorable little Poke'mon and Aggron is awesome. XD I'm training Mikuri mainly for her defense stats. Too bad she's the slowest on my team. XD;
( But that's what I get for picking the nature that increase the defense but decrease the speed and it doesn't help that I use Macho Brace to increase the stats as well. XD; )
And lawl at the whole Queen Bee and Beequeen names. XD I don't really like Beequeen's appearance but Combee looks sooo adorable.
