"Well the next thing you're going to learn isn't really a technique. It's more of a skill. Allow me to demonstrate." Iruka stood there for a moment and then his feet started glowing. He walked towards a tree and then started walking up it. "The life of a ninja just keeps getting better and better!" Manda started getting excited and was jumping up and down. "Teach me, teach me! I want to walk up trees too!" Iruka walked back down and looked at Manda. "Calm down. First I have to explain the skill first."

"Well, first of all: tell me what you noticed before I walked up the tree." Manda put his hand to his chin as he started thinking. "....No idea. Was it that your feet were glowing?" Iruka heaved a sigh of relief. "Phew! You almost made me doubt you for a second. That's it. I applied chakra to my feet and constantly channeled it while I was walking up. You have to keep applying chakra or you'll fall. Don't forget that." Manda gave Iruka another thumbs-up. "I won't. Trust me. I'm gonna try it now." Manda started running towards a tree. He had already applied chakra to his feet by the time he reached the tree so the first step stuck onto the tree.

Manda tried to continue running up the tree. His other foot stepped down on the tree and it slipped. He fell headfirst and bashed his forehead against the tough bark of the tree. He fell back down and fell on his butt. He sat there gripping his head and cursing. "Ow, damn it! What happened Iruka?!" Iruka walked forward and stood next to Manda. "Did you continue applying chakra to your feet?" Manda wiped some blood off his head with his finger and then licked it off. "Uh...don't think so. I'll try again."

Manda rolled backwards on his feet and looked at the tree head-on. "Oh yeah, Manda. Let's try walking for now. Running may complicate things right now." Manda was already dashing towards the tree when he slid to a stop. "Grr. Fine." Manda slowly walked up the tree. He was walking fine for a while. He channelled chakra to his feet and continously applied it to his feet. After four steps, he started sliding back down. "Damn." He forcefully applied more chakra and his foot went through the tree with his next step.

At the height he was, falling down would either kill him or put him in critical condition. Manda knew this and started wiggling his foot out anyway. Pop! His foot came out and now he was falling headfirst. Lucky for him, Iruka was down there. He just held out his arms and caught Manda. "Phew! Thanks." Iruka then dropped him and sat down against a tree. "We're gonna be here a long time. Oh, one thing I forgot to tell you. You have to keep the chakra perfectly balanced. I assumed you would know this by now but it's obvious that you don't." Manda got up rubbing his head. "Don't worry. This is the last time. You can count on it."

Manda turned back around and stared at Iruka. "You still could've shared that information a long time ago." He turned back to the tree and slowly started walking after applying chakra to his feet. He kept applying it continously. He also kept it balanced, applying the exact same amount throughout the whole thing. "I'm doing perfect!" Manda reached the top and sat down. "He he he! I finally did it! What's next, sensai?" Right when he finished that sentence, he fell alseep causing him to fall back down to the ground yet again.

" yeah acutally combat training" shikyo screamed at the top of his lungs."now class todays lesson is the Art of Substitution, now everyone chose a battle buddy or partner" iruka said shikyo chose his old buddie mark from the nara clan. "ok lets start w/ one of you to attack the other one and i want the other to focus the chakra just right so thatwith a blink of a eye switch yourself w/ a piece of bark" shikyo took the first strike by throwing shrukins at mark but didnt use the Art of Substitution but using some kunai to block it. 1/4 Art of Substitution

Hedoro
Hedoro stalked down the hallway, storming on her way to her class. She still wasn't sure why she was so angry, but she most definitely was angry. If anyone could see her face, and if she would have bothered with facial expressions, then it would have been immediately obvious she was in a foul mood. But as it was, her demeanor was still easy enough to read, merely from her stomping gait and mien. She stopped in front of the door to her class, and threw it open, letting the noise it created signify her mood. She pounded her way to the back of the classroom and threw herself down in her chair, as if daring anyone to take offense at her actions. Nobody did, and she folded her arms around herself, impatiently waiting for class to start so it could be over that much sooner. A moment later, the teacher came in, and the rest of the students went quiet as class began. Hedoro's temper slowly cooled as time passed, after the second hour had passed, she was only slightly irritable, as compared to downright angry. Class eventually ended, but she didn't move right away, Hedoro was going to wait for everyone else to leave so she could have a moment of quiet.

Tamao
Tamao blinked as the door whipped open, revealing Hedoro. She wasn't sure, but her roommmate looked upset about something. Was it that she was very nearly late? That wasn't such a big deal, the teacher hadn't even shown up yet. Had something happened to her on her way here? Possible, but her clothes didn't look any worse than they usually did. No, it must be something else. And since they were roommates, of course it was Tamao's duty to be there to help her new friend when she was upset, right? She would have went right up to her than and there to ask what was wrong, but class began, so she had to stay in her seat. It was an interesting lesson, covering the rising trends in the different hidden villages. Not trends in terms of fashion, but in terms of business, power and things like that. Basically a social anatomy of all the villages together. Most of the other students didn't seem to think it was so interesting, but not her! No, Tamao liked this sort of thing, and for good reason. Her parents had instilled a solid curriculum from her youth, including a hearty dose of politics. They might not be the most exciting fields of study, but they showed that it wasn't just the strongest who came out on top, it was the smart ones, too. That gave her hope, that maybe one day she could be someone great.

Ichiro walked into the academy, running his hand against his bald scalp aws it was hard for him to believe that he had to go through this training again, after his easy time he had achieved with Gana's power. "Oh well, I guess this way I wont draw too much attention to myself." he said with a smirk on his face as he looked at his hands. "And lets just hope this kid has as much potential as I hope he does." Ichiro said wth a small sigh as he walked into the room, walking up to Iruka sensei as he bowed to his teacher. "I wish to be the next, great, Taijutsu master Iruka Sensei!" Ichiro called out as he turned his eyes up to his teacher, hoping for an answer he would like. "Would you please consider training me?"
Iruka let out a small laugh as he heard Ichiro talk to him. "A taijutsu master eh?" Iruka asked as he laughed lightly. "Not too many of those walk through these halls, thats for sure."

Hedoro
Hedoro watched as slowly but surely, the classroom grew empty of students, save two. One was obviously herself, and the other? She looked towards where the other student sat, she didn't even remember noticing them there before. All the more reason that she was surprised to see Tamao looking back at her! Had they really been in the same classroom the entire day, and she'd never noticed? It was certainly possible, she hadn't been paying more than cursory attention to anyone the entire day. And yesterday, her first day of classes, she hadn't known Tamao was her roommate. Even so, this showed a frightful level of inattention. If she didn't notice things like this immediately, then that meant she was losing her edge, and that wasn't good. If she was slipping, then she'd be easy pickings once she returned home. If she even made it that far. She wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if those who pursued her had somehow found out that she had come here, and were just biding their time until they could strike without too much attention. She had to be more careful, anything less meant death or imprisonment.

Tamao
Tamao saw that Hedoro didn't get up to leave when all the other students did, so she didn't either. She could tell that Hedoro still seemed a little upset, but thankfully it didn't look as extreme as when she'd first stormed in. She'd never really gotten that angry in her own life, but she could tell when other people were upset. Nothing as full-blown as empathy or synchronic sensations, she just had a little bit of a knack at reading people. After the last dawdler had left, she got to her feet and walked over to stand near Hedoro. She asked if something was wrong, she looked rather upset. Hedoro coolly scoffed at that, how could she look like anything when she was wrapped up as deeply as she was? Tamao replied that that was true, but body language still emoted a great deal, and clothes didn't change that fact. She asked again, but Hedoro just sighed and brushed it off, saying it was nothing, she'd just gotten in a bad mood, there was nothing to worry about. Tamao smiled, and said that that was good, and if that was the case then maybe they should go do something. Like what, Hedoro asked. Oh, nothing important, just spend some time together, maybe study for the upcoming Genin exams.

Hedoro
Hedoro watched as Tamao came closer, and sighed at the inevitable conversation that would ensue. She still wasn't quite sure what had set her off earlier, but she knew part of it revolved around her new roommate. She tried being sarcastic when Tamao mentioned how she looked, if she knew what she really looked like she'd likely not want to see her again. But that didn't work, either Tamao didn't get the hint or she was being stubborn. She gave up, but still brushed the problem off as nothing, not yet wanting to open up to this too-cheerful girl she'd just met the day before. Even so, her cheerfulness was kind of contagious, she didn't feel nearly as upset as she had before. Maybe that's why she agreed to spend some time with Tamao before she realized it. Why had she said that?! She liked being alone, why did she agree to spend more time with someone when she didn't have to? But it was too late, she'd already agreed to it. She sighed again, and agreed when tamao suggested they study. At least then she could focus on the books instead of her roommate. ((Well it's only their second day, and I'm not ready to split them up yet.))
