Hmm...you've got a point. They could just not help. ...better to steal small amounts of change from them in frequent intervals.

Okay, short run down of the past week's "events" in my life:
Sunday: My store director collapses before the store opens and has to be taken to the hospital. If I remember, his hernia was acting up. The same day when everything's hectic and no one's really doing what we're supposed to be doing, a higher up is inspecting the store and is very very upset.
Monday: A group of workers from other TRUs close by come in to "help out" while our director's still in the hospital. Having the Scared Straight kids (as I called them) doing our jobs was insult enough, but they have the gall to have an assitant director come in to reorganize everything and "encourage" our sales. He stops me while I'm doing the morning security check to remind me about battery sales, Instant Credit applications, and Buyer Extortion Protection Plans. I supress the urge to say something snarky.
Tuesday: Day off, paid my credit card bill.
Wednesday: Saw TMNT. Don't believe the reviews, it's freakin' awesome! Had a preview for Underdog too. Loved the fact that Jason Lee is doing the voice. Squee.
Thursday: Assistant director isn't there to piss me off. Short day, slept most of the afternoon away. Wake up to find my brother who was living in Texas with his girlfriend has flown back to stay because A. he always hated Texas to begin with and 2. his gf's 'rents kicked him out because he couldn't find a job. We figure it's because he's a Northerner and Southerners just don't like us Yankees. Plus he'll always be a city kid at heart. At the same time, my Mom, older sisters and 16 year-old nephew decide to spend the next week in Florida visiting my sister-in-law's sister who we call Aunt anyway. Leaving me the only girl in a house full of boys who don't so s**t. Joy.
Friday: Hectic in the store because of the last minute Easter shoppers and early arrivals for the Doorbuster sale that starts just as soon as I leave. Thankfully. Assistant director feels the need to remind me once more of batteries, Instant Credit, and BEPPs. I manage not to smack him as he talks to me like some wet-behind the ears newbie who hasn't touched a cash register before.
Saturday (today): Even though the store opens two hours early, there is barely a soul in sight. The same Assitant director feels the need to tell me, ONCE AGAIN, about all the stuff I should be asking customers. I refrain from smacking him to the ground, kicking him in the nuts and spitting in his face. I swear to God, if he's still here on Monday, I'm calling in sick the rest of the week. I don't need the cash this bad. Manage to squeak by without having to extend my shift and get some goodies for Easter since my mom, sisters and nephew decided to head down to Florida.
...
That wasn't really short was it?

She fought the law...
The missus was cut off in traffic leaving the hospital. She was pissed and the other driver was being a p***k so after some really stupid driving on the highway the guy gets behind my wife's car and a siren sounds, he pulls you next to her and flashes a badge and points to her to pull over. No lights flashed on the car and the guy wasn't in uniform. My wife yelled at him what he could do with himself and kept right on driving. We're almost certain it was a fake cop, and unfortunately she was so pissed at the guy she didn't think to get his licience plate number.
Mooing violation.
I love Chik-fil-a, it's my favorite fast food joint. They've got billboards around town featuring plaster cows, often in funny outfits, urging drivers to eat chicken. So, one of the cows went missing. It was at the time pajamas to promote Chik-fil-a breakfast items. The cow was found in ditch hours later. The pajamas are still missing.
6 weeks until doomsday...
The girls should be coming home within the next couple of weeks. My go dan testing in Georgia is coming up, for which I'm still no where near ready for. My in-laws are coming to visit about that time. This includes my nutjob father-in-law. Break out the brass knuckles and whiskey, this is going to be freakin' great.
And finally: irony.
The Weather Channel did a little clip on ways to make your house more envirornmentally friendly to help deal with Global Warming. Immediately after the clip they reported on all the snow currently hitting parts of the country.
Anyone else notice that just about every time there's been a meating of summit concerning Global Warming, it's been postponed by a blizzard?

Couple things. A) Greta Hayes Wednesday: Saw TMNT. Don't believe the reviews, it's freakin' awesome! Had a preview for Underdog too. Loved the fact that Jason Lee is doing the voice. Squee.
Totally Agree. B) Greta Hayes We figure it's because he's a Northerner and Southerners just don't like us Yankees.
We like y'all just fine. Mostly... Sorta... Damn Yankees. xp

As I'm attempting to tell my young students about good sources for reading about martial arts....
Me: There are lots of magazines about martial arts, the most popular one being Black Belt, but there's a lot of stuff in there that isn't very useful. ((For those wondering Black Belt is to martial arts as Wizard is to comics.)) I highly recommend Classical Fighting Arts wich covers not only Karate, but other arts from Japan, Okinawa and China such as Aikido, Ju-jitsu..
Student: (Interupting me) Tai-jitsu!
Moment for me to glare at the boy.
Me: Quit watching Naruto kid, it'll rot your brain.
Student: I DON'T...! I haven't...! my little brother...!
He finally hangs his head in shame.

d**k Grayson Coming down to the GA Jaeger? Where at might I ask? Maybe we could do lunch or something if you have the time. 3nodding Unfortuanely, my entire schedule is booked. I'll be heading for the Eagle Rock Camp, and I have no clue where exactly it is. It's a three day training camp, at which many of us including my will be tested. We'll also be preparing for our demonstration before the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai, which I found out accepted me into general membership, and will be testing me for confirmed membership in August. All, that being said, I really need to hit the eliptical trainer, cause I'm going to have to be a cardio beast to survive this.
