Astri I'm sorry, hun. Good luck with that. sad Zhoashen -- Being lonely and single sucks. Some things to think about: Do you do anything socially? Like, go to school, say? Or have a job? Any interests you can pursue in a social context? Do you like to hang out in book stores? Is there some sort of Queer Group near you that might have meetings or movie screenings you could attend? Oh. I suppose I do plenty of things socially. I'm in college, but I'm definatly not taking classes this summer. I actually have two jobs and as I'm only really getting paid for one of them right now. I'm looking into a third one for summer. In terms of interest to pursue socially I do kendo, but I don't feel comfortable dating anyone even if I wanted to that would be ever so awkward. I love to hang out in book stores but then I spend money and more time on the books than other people. As for queer groups I know I should find some, but the idea of going their just to meet people is wierd and I don't seem to find the time to do it. So yeah being single sucks but I'm hardly lonely. Unless it is like 2am and no one is on, but I should be in bed then anyway. I have some really close friends and we hang out a minimum of once a week and talk alot. So, it isn't so bad, but it would be nice to meet someone. *hey rejectanonymity, Good luck getting all that togethor, financial things suck to deal with. Argh I can't even think of anything that would really help. So, all I can offer is good luck.

Asghar I'll move my loving happiness out of the rant thread. xd Think of it more as helping us to forget some of the angstier bits of our lives. You did good. 3nodding I think Monti meant that he isn't on here as much as he would like, or at least as much as he used to. I think the same goes for most of us. sad

Then I second guessed myself. As I do. Okay, I need to stop procrastinating. If I post here again before my linguistics project is completed, please whack me over the head with a large wooden board. ... Or maybe try something a little less drastic, but -- gods! -- I need to get this ******** thing done!

Less drastic, eh? I was hoping to put that plywood drawing board to use for once. I suggest a stress-binder. They come in all colours and different hardnesses, from cardboard/plastic to nylon/plush. Most excellent for use in class or on the road. 3nodding
Gaia/social contact in general is horrible for prolonging procrastination. Think of it this way: we're not going anywhere, anytime soon. Just get it done!

Is there no escape from grease and MSG?! It seems like that's all there is in this house. Then when I go out it's more of the same. Ugh, and the cheese. Fried mozzarella sticks are now officially replacing man-thongs as the bane of my existence. gonk

Man thongs, like facial hair, only work for a small portion of the population. I fall into neither catagory, and I don't think anyone exists that can pull off both. Mozzarella cheese sticks not unlike ramen will kill you if ingested with enough frequency, but are delicious on occaision. Could I suggest a good salad recipe or some veggies? perhapes a muffin?

tahariel ew. ew a lot for both of those. i never liked mozzerella sticks. they make me feel sick...man-thongs usually give me the same reaction... For me they are definate different reactions. Fried mozzarella sticks are nauseating, while the man-thongs is more of a cross of sheer terror and ridicule. Ramen. I can't even count how many packs I've eaten. In fact, I don't think I recall I time when my house didn't have them. Mmm.... a muffin. Or even a raspberry vinaigrette. JoVo Certainly, the man who could would be a god. If they could pull those two off together, then surely they could pull anything off. And pigs would fly in a frozen hell.
