Paladin is a class rather than a race, isn't it?
Actually, a paladin can be both depending on the kind of research. *puts on mania glasses* In the medieval ages, paladins were seen as a kind of mix between human and some other form of holy being... Often times the church would pick out a few people who seemed to be of the type and made them titled warriors of God. In other texts, they're a breed of human with powers and a distinct hatred for black magic. Often seen as hunters towards people who misuse the black arts.
actually now that I've put that in words, I'm going to trash that whole idea all together... ill make him a cat or something. Axcis loves cats. In side-stories that I've added in him, he goes completely out of character when he sees a feline.
I'll only get offended if you stubbornly believe that Paladin is nothing more than a class in D&D ^-^ just like Rogue can be a class, it was also a real thing back in those days.
many things in all fantasy comes directly from some form of history and culture, it's uncommon to find a fantasy that was purely conjured up in someones imagination. Besides, imagination and inspiration, a corrding to psychology is always influenced by culture. without culture, there would be no creativity and life would be pretty dull. It's like living in a world where everyone's the same. *takes off mania glasses and folds them in pocket* Astrid out o3o
