"Not that we've seen much," Wren countered with a smile. "But you are right, from what I've seen, I do like the styles here."

She sighed softly. "If there were something I could do, it'd be one thing, but I don't know how I can help earn us some money."

She had never needed to earn money before. Having grown up in a palace, she'd never needed to earn money, and on previous trips she'd been able to use her own currency. This was something new for her.

Wren smiled softly at Lin. "Thank you," she murmured. "You're right. Though I must be honest ... the thought occurred to me. If money is such an issue, why don't we just stay in our tents on the outskirts of the city? From my understanding, you've done it before, and then we wouldn't have to worry about paying to stay at the inn."

Sure it would be a lot more work, and they would have to prepare their own meals, but it would be simply in the long run. At least, those were her thoughts on the matter so far.

"True," Wren murmured, her brow furrowing slightly. "I suppose I just don't quite feel right about it, is all. I mean, she's offered to be our guide for as long as we need her ... we're taking her away from her husband ... and we're not giving her anything in return. It just doesn't feel right, letting her pay for our stay here as well. I know it can't be cheap, especially once Daeron and Iorlas will be staying at the inn as well. Then it will be four rooms."

And ewho knew how long they were going to be here? Probably a year or so, if her guess was correct. That would mean quite a fortune for Kyrie.

"You can say that again," Wren murmured with a smile.

She had no idea how many countries there were on this continent, but there were a lot; and each country was quite large and would probably have quite the number of towns or cities. Lin was right. It would be best if they could find a way to earn their own keep rather than rely on Kyrie or stay in their tents all the time.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the tailor seemed to have finished with Iorlas and Daeron, who looked as if they were getting ready to leave.

"That didn't take long," she commented in surprise.

Wren chuckled softly. "I suppose I'm used to finicky tailors. And my father, always my father ..."

As Iorlas and Daeron joined them on their way to the door, she asked, "So it went well? She accepted the request to bill it to Ahkshi?"

Iorlas, who had Amir back in the sling, smiled widely and nodded. "No trouble at all. She said to come back this evening for the first set of clothes, and the day after tomorrow for the rest of it."

"Thankfully," Daeron added.

"That's pretty quick," Wren commented, surprised. "The tailor must be quite skilled."

"Apparently she's making him something very simple," Iorlas shrugged as they stepped outside. "I suppose that since he doesn't have to worry about the cold, he doesn't need anything complicated."

The rest of the group followed outside, and Daeron let the door close behind them again.

"I have no idea," Iorlas admitted. "I hadn't thought of anything past getting clothes for Amir."

"We could always just wander," Earendil suggested. "We've done that in other places, even before we knew Kyrie."

"And no one here has reacted badly to us, not like in Ardruin," Kaito added with a catty grin. "Though I don't know if you might want to check on Andarien, maybe let the Pokemon out for a bit. They've been in their Pokeballs for a few days now."
