Michael shook his head, turned around and sat down. He couldn't watch as his final attempt at becoming a pokemon trainer would come to an end. " Oshawott...try and dodge that nosepass's attack." He said in a disappointed tone. The oshawott nodded slightly and got ready to move. One hit and EVERYTHING went down the drain...

It would work as the Nosepass went pass him. The tackle failing as the creature skids to a stop and turn back around to face the Oshawott. Yes, everything hinges on this battle, and this Nosepass wasn't willing to let him get away either ...as it's eyes now narrow and it's eyebrows would go down. This was going to get to be much more interesting in the long run.

The pokemon stood rigid and ready for the next incoming attack ...as the Nosepass would stand solid and dangerous. This was a pokemon that once it starts wasn't going to stop ...as it ground it's feet into the ground and smiles in his face.
(I forgot the dice roll)

Michael didn't hear an impact, maybe the attacked missed? He got up turned around and saw that his oshawott was still standing. "Oshawott, now use tackle!" He said, even though that wasn't the only attack he had, there wasn't any use of using copycat when his oshawott had the same move the nosepass used. The oshawott nodded and charged at the nosepass one last time, hopefully able to take it out in this attack.

The pokemon wouldn't budge, he wouldn't feel the attack as the Oshawott would find that trying to tackle a rock was the same as trying to drown the ocean with water. It was a futile gesture, as the pokemon eyes shined a bit as he lower his head closer to the ground. He was going to try and put an end to this pokemon in one move as he would come forward with what looked like a tackled, but was none of those things as he raises his head up and then back down again with a power that would smash the dojo's floor as he used Head Smash.

Male Poochyena (Fang) lvl:2/Jolly Hp: 14 Pp: 15 Att: 7 Def: 7 Spd: 7 Sp Att: 5 Sp Def: 6 Moves: Tackle, Dark Pulse Exp:0/100 Kane was ecstatic when Fang's attack landed strongly this time. The Shinx was sent rolling backwards. The Poochyena looked pleased as well and he felt glad. The battle was going pretty well, but it wasn't over yet! Keeping his fingers crossed, the boy hoped that Fang would be able to finish soon. It'd be great to move forward a little. Plus this was considered initiation to the class. He wondered what the rest of the Strike class would be like.Fang let out a happy yip. The cat had been pushed back and the electricity radiating off his fangs had bounced harmlessly off the ground. A quick glance at his trainer had him back on focus. The Poochyena watched as the Shinx was sent rolling away. Somehow in a slight fit of delusion, he pictured a ball. But Claw had immediately uncurled and went racing off. Fang looked a little disappointed and began to chase after the cat's lashing tail. It seemed to taunt him some as he tried to quicken his pace. The dark furred pokemon aimed to slam into his opponent with another Tackle attack to make it resume it's ball form!

Michael's eyes widened as he saw the attack didn't affect the nosepass at all...but wait, it was using the move it used when it brought oshawott almost to its knees. Finally, a one-time opprotunity to end this once a dodge was perfectly executed! "Oshawott, dodge this attack! This could be our only chance to win!" He said to his oshawott as it nodded and quickly got into position to dodge.

Once more it would the battle was taking a turn as the feline managed to evade the Poochyena's attack in a display of cat like agility. This battle was far from over; a fact the Shinx seemed more then aware of as he turned sharply upon his paws. His teeth immediately began crackling with electricity as a feline smirk graced his features. ">I promise you, this attack will come as a real shock!<" The cat called, bounding forward as he opened his mouth wide. He had ever intent on sinking his teeth into the dog's hide in one glorious Thunder Fang!

The Nosepass would miss ....as he would go past the Oshawott as he would stop with his back turned, and would sink his feet back into the earth as he literally sat down. HIs entire body would be cringing downwards as he tries to let his rocky hide act as his defense.
His eyes locked on his opponent as he seemed to be for once cautions about this pokemon, a easy win in his mind.

"Oshawott! Now, use Copycat and copy nosepass's previous move!" Michael said as he crossed his fingers, hoping this would end with this attack. The oshawott nodded, copied head smash, put its head down and charged at the nosepass. "Oshawott!!" ~You're going down!!~

(15 - 13 + 7 - 7 = 2 + 5 rounds to 7 dmg - sorry about the Godmodding, but you forgot to calculate dmg from that last attack.)
Hp: - 3
Though he would make the call, the charge would fall apart as the Oshawott took a couple of steps and then collapse. The last attack had hit, and with that one move it was over ...as the Nosepass smiled at him.
They had failed, the Oshawott had failed to dodge, and that had brought an end to this fight. It would seem he had to accept his failure once more as the voice would reply.
"This match is over."
The voice would declares.
"Go to the pokemon center to heal your pokemon."
It would leave it at that. It would seem that Michael and Oshawott's fate was now up in the air.

Michael sighed, held out oshawott's pokeball and said "Oshawott....return.." As a red beam would fly at the downed oshawott and brought it back into the pokeball, Michael walked to the doors, opened them up and slammed them shut as he left ~exits~ ((Well, that sucked...))

Male Poochyena (Fang) lvl:2/Jolly Hp: 14 Pp: 15 Att: 7 Def: 7 Spd: 7 Sp Att: 5 Sp Def: 6 Moves: Tackle, Dark Pulse Exp:0/100 The Shinx had turned around and looked mad now. The boy looked slightly worried as he watched. Kane saw that Fang took up the challenge, facing it without fear. Of course the Poochyena wouldn't be scared but that could turn into a dangerous situation as well. Glancing at the pokemon, he kept his gaze hopeful. No, he had faith in his pokemon and he'd be able to pull through. He knew what he was doing and all the boy could do was root him on!The Poochyena looked a little disappointed as the Shinx evaded his attack quite easily. Shaking his coat slightly, he glanced at the cat pokemon charging towards him. This time, Claw seemed very serious. The dark furred pokemon could sense the power radiating from the waves that encircled the feline's fangs. He turned and started running. The dark pokemon didn't like retreating and began to swerve in something that looked like a Z formation. If he was moving in a straight line, it would've been too easy for his opponent to catch him. Ears pinned backwards, he tried to catch the sounds of the cat behind of him to try and estimate when the Shinx would lunge and avoid it!

The hefty snap of fangs would come from just behind the the Poochyena, a single strand of fur being plucked from his tail. It wasn't enough to cause any damage, but close enough that the dog would likely thank Arceus for his luck.
Hissing in irritation, Claw would flick his tail and turn about sharply. Nimble paws would take the cat away swiftly, but unlike with the Poochyena he followed a much more complicated pattern of evasion, his steps as unpredictable to him and they would be his opponent...and that was the point!

Male Poochyena (Fang) lvl:2/Jolly Hp: 14 Pp: 15 Att: 7 Def: 7 Spd: 7 Sp Att: 5 Sp Def: 6 Moves: Tackle, Dark Pulse Exp:0/100 The battle was getting pretty intense. Neither side was really giving in. Fang had the advantage so far with landing a decent hit. The boy watched a little anxiously. Fang had managed to avoid getting hit though barely. He watched as the Shinx took off and began to move in different directions. There didn't seem to be a pattern so it was just moving whatever way it felt like going. Kane narrowed his gaze, but he figured if Fang relied on his instincts, he could have a chance at catching it. Fang had been running when he sensed the Shinx rapidly approaching. The feline moved quickly and then the cat lunged. The Poochyena barely managed to move his tail away and push forward. He felt a single hair plucked off and then skidded to a stop. The Poochyena turned to glance at his tail and saw that it was all in one piece. Phew, that had been one seriously close call. A impish smirk crossed the dark pokemon's maw as he turned to glance at the retreating form on the cat. It was time for the tables turn and he was ready. Paws digging into the ground, he charged forward. There didn't seem to be a pattern the Shinx was using. So he just kept a close watch with his eyes and then felt like there was an opening. This was it! Leaping forward, he aimed to slam the Shinx into the ground!
