While he was still thinking on the idea, Shun frowned, still lost on what to do. Looking up towards the dance floor, he saw Mitsu there actually, along with the two pink haired demons. The crazy male looked like he was dragging around the other two girls or something like that.
The music was shifting to something rather soft too.
Staring for a moment, he let out a sigh and pushed himself to his feet.
Quietly, the reaper made his way over towards the trio. He glanced over at the two demons briefly, then to Mitsu in particular. Taking in a breath, he held his hand out to her.
"If I may, could I have your hand for this dance?" he asked. Yes. He could be eloquent if he wanted to. Shun just normally wasn't, "That is.. if I'm not interrupting anything."

Taryn's stomach leaped when she heard the song change, and doubly once she listened to what it had become. A slow dance? with a boil? her very first dance?
...well, why not?
The chimera gave a little shrug and nod as she took Joachim's hand, not noticing how nervous he seemed to be. To her he was a perfect gentleman, and his mood and submission were quickly forgotten. Rather than lead or follow, she walked with him to the floor and offered him her other hand. She wasn't sure how to do this, really, but she knew there was some kind of closeness involved.

Tsetsiliya paused to consider Colette's question. How does one do a slow dance with three people? She tilted her head up quizzically, as though expecting to find the answer floating above her head.
She thought.
And thought.
And all she could get was some strange image in her head of three people, arms looped around each other as they moved in a slow circle. She frowned. There were some obvious problems there. But a moment's recollection allowed her to realize that she had seen that before. Really now, her grandmother and her wild shindigs got pretty sappy once everyone had drunk to the bottom of the spiked cider barrels.
"I am.. not being quite sure," she admitted, eyes squinting in thought. She tapped her cheek and turned again to the dance floor, hoping to find some kind of solution. Her eye immediately settled on a pink-haired duo and a white-haired mask-wearing ghoul, with one of them leading the other two to the floor. "Oh.. perhaps like they are doing." She nodded over at the group, just as the masked ghoul pulled away and stood awkwardly to the side. "Or, uhm.. I am guessing not." Since the dance floor had failed to provide a solution, Tsetsiliya gave a gentle shrug. "I am not minding taking turns. It is probably being easiest." And a lot less likely to step on each other's feet, she thought. That sappy circle dance at her grandmother's party had ended up with most on the floor.
No, she'd rather not run that risk, thank you very much. Unless Petro had a more accommodating idea.

Calder pressed his lips tight, wondering if he found Invictus' snippy tongue hot, charming, or just aggravating. A little bit of annoyance was sexy. Made him want to slap him, tear off an ear, and then kiss him. There certainly was no pleasing the horseman, but that just meant he wasn't easy. Sure, easy would have been nice. Calder could really go for easy right about now, but if things were easy, he'd just be dating ghouls instead.
He forced a smile. "It's called letting loose and just going with the flow. A dose of which I'd recommend in your case. I haven't seen you crack much of a smile all Prom. I'm taking it personally." He wondered if breaking that shell of the horseman's would help him loosen up a bit. Maybe some dancing was in order again, but would Invictus hate him for it and leave, or tolerate it? He worried he'd wind up without a date in the end, but at this rate, he wouldn't get anywhere with the boil.
It's just one date? Are you expecting miracles?
He was, and he sighed, curling his hair a bit with one finger as he thought. It was also a bit sad that the boil wasn't even jealous with him dancing with a bunch of boils and a ghoul.
Wait?! Was that why he was upset now? Well, more than he usually was. If so...
Calder tried not to get too excited, but leaned on the table a bit to smile. "Were you jealous?"

Mitsu's brows furrowed though it was hard to see around the mask. "N-n-no i-i-it's just that....that..." It was just what? At first she didn't know but finally settled on one truth. That she wanted to dance with someone else. Not that this new boil didn't seem nice, he seemed very friendly....very very friendly, but he wasn't who she wanted to dance with.
A sad looking coming to her features she just stood in place for a moment. What was the harm in dancing..this would probably be the only chance she got. "I'll-" But something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. A hand. Blinking a couple of times Mitsu stared at it before following it to it's owner a little shocked to see Shun standing there.
Again Mitsu found her face flushing, her heart beating in her chest but in a fluttering sort of way. She couldn't help but reach out and take Shun's hand forgetting for a moment how clumsy she was. "I..." She looked at the others hoping this was okay. "Can I?" She asked like she needed their permission to go.

Behind the sunglasses, Riley's eyes closed helplessly. This did not lend to her dancing ability, but there was no choice in the matter. The word always, spoken so simple and earnest, would always get to her. A breathe of a chuckle lifted her chest as she felt the sudden loss of balance, and she pulled herself upright to compensate. You always catch me. She practically giggled - or at least as close as she would ever get to the sound. Besides, I don't know that I would be too upset at being uncouth with you. And we wouldn't be the first, either. But, if you insist..
So instead of the twirls, Riley's hands settled on Malodore's hips, and with a soft lift she had it airborne, circling around as she carried it off it's feet.
I saw this in a movie, once.

Night just smiled at her even though she protested. His hand fell on her waist while his other took hers in his. It was the classic pose for the waltz as the perfect song came on for it. "See, this isn't so bad Vee." He continued to smile at her as he led her in the slow steps of the dance, one step forward, one step to the left, one step back, one step to the right and so the pattern continued as he move her along, enjoying the simple time enough to dance with her.
"One dance! And then we'll play some poker and win you some cold hard cash." Night winked at her, "I'm not a bad player myself though, If you lose money to me you can't get mad." He winked, "I'd give it back anyways." he grinned.
"Besides, your already Dancing with me." He nodded his head at her, gesturing to their already moving forms. His tail twitched as if to confirm the moment.

Another student that Charlie didn't know turned up which was quite a shocker to Charlie. Whooooah he felt like hed hit the gold mine of possible new students to be friends with. But the dark student was not there to dance with all of them. Just one.
Charlie tilted his head when Mitsu turned to ask if she could go with him.
"What? Yeah of course! You two are special friends like me and Amrita I take it!" He gave them a smile and turned back to Lizzy. Special friend was a new term that Charlie liked to use. He still had no idea that basically meant boilfriend and ghoulfriend.

Joachim picked a spot on the dance floor where lights didn't beam directly on top of them and wasn't completely crammed with other couples dancing hand in hand. He was sure that if there was any lights shining on him that Taryn would see the rather blood red face he bore, in fact at this point he was pretty sure he was pretty much the same color she was and had been almost the entire prom. Taking her other hand he moved it to his shoulder so he could put his hand on her hip, again causing a small tremor of fear and embarrassment to wash all over him. He only hoped that she couldn't tell or that Abigail wouldn't slither up his arm. He kept trying to count the beats in his head as he attempted to move them in a circular motion around on the floor trying to avoid stepping on the hem of her dress or feet.
Oh skulls it was hard to breath or even swallow this level of fear now he was really sure that being in room and taking a nap was probably the better choice but he was far too late from backing out now. How long was this song anyways?

"A... a movie?" Malodore would have tilted its head, except that it was... flying. The plague doctor's own hands tightened around Riley's wrists in an instinctive movement, trying to make sure it stayed steady. The room was twirling around it, flashes of light and color and other people's faces as they moved.
... A little like flying, maybe. Just a little. Though it still couldn't quite bring itself to release Riley's wrists and fully embrace the sensation.
This, too, is dance? it thought, marveling a little. I wonder how Jericho's people dance. Or- Oh, it cut that off before it could think 'Calder'. Then it moved on to Christof, and that idea was just palpably ridiculous.
Instead, it ducked its head down and playfully poked at Riley's forehead with its beak, a gentle bump of bone to flesh. "I am not expected to do this for you, after? It would be a bit harder than, ah, my proposal. Would it not?" Its beak was open in a grin, and sly mischief rolled from it.

The hunchback froze as his name was suddenly called. He had been content to try to hover off to the side in the darkness until his Mistress called for him... which was increasingly looking like never, much to his depression. The sudden voice, regardless of who it belonged to, took him by surprise. Wincing, he turned only to discover, to his dismay... it was that new Manticore ghoul who he had so far successfully avoided up until now.
But it seemed he was trapped. Lips pursed tight, he glanced up to her with a somewhat terrified expression, "Hnnn?" He managed weakly.

Taking Mitsu's hand, Shun paused as he glanced over towards the one they had called Charlie. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the 'special friend' bit but didn't think on it. The reaper wasn't really sure what that was supposed to mean, especially since he didn't really know this demon or Amrita. Nodding to him, he turned his attention back to the wolf girl and took a few steps away from the others.
For a moment he released her hand to bow in a more western fashion. Once he had straightened up, he stepped closer to the girl, taking one of her hands in his and placing his other at her waist. Silently, he carefully began to move along with her to lead her through the song.
Shun knew how clumsy she could be so he didn't want to do anything to sudden lest he end up tripping her or throwing her off balance otherwise.

Taryn was relieved when Joachim led her to a less crowded, dimly-lit portion of the dance floor. Everyone else seemed to be holding their dates close or grudgingly slinking around dateless, and there she was, with a boil and his mouse. She smiled again, her eyes turning from her peers to Joachim as she beamed up at him. The ghoul's hand trailed up to her date's shoulder and she felt a tingling shock in her chest when she felt the curve of his shoulder. As his pale hand met her hip, she could only gasp as she was swept away. Yes, Joachim certainly knew what he was doing, and this song was romantic and the moment seemed all too perfect. Taryn felt like she was floating. Her look of total shock turned to a content, awe-stricken expression as pleasant chills rolled up and down her back and bats fluttered in her stomach.
This was amazing.

Before she could say anything else he'd almost literally swept her off her feet, twirling her around in a waltz.
Oh god. Oh godddddd. Completely mortified, Vieve shook a mental fist at whoever had picked the music. Whoever had trapped her in this... dance.
After recovering from the initial shock she let herself relax a bit, following Night's cues and moving around. She liked to think she picked it up quickly enough; at least she looked somewhat respectable. Besides, showing off came naturally to her.
"You're not doing too badly," she commented. "I suppose I should compliment you on your skills."
The girl paused, letting herself just dance and enjoy the music for a while, before a brilliant idea struck her.
"You realise you owe me for this.. don't you?"

Riley's sway stopped for a moment, freezing in surprise at Malodore's confusion. Il mio dolce angelo, have you never seen a movie? She brought it back down slowly, accepting the peck on her forehead with a fluttering of her eyelids. When they opened again, her eyes were still locked in awe. They melted slowly as an idea formed, and her face lifted in lieu of a smile.
I have decided. You and I, we will have something akin to a date. And I shall bring a movie with which to broaden your world with once more. I do so love to widen your horizons. I have to give you something, after all, for all you give me.
She laughed at the hesitance of picking her up, and shook her head. No, Malodore. You have already done it once. You needn't do it again. So, now that you have proposed to me, I think it is a perfect time to ask.
Her eyes glinted with amusement. Will you go on a date with me?
