Ibara was shivering, feeling colder by the minute. Maybe her body was finally reacting to the event that led her here. "Fire," she said, looking around. Surely she could make one? The other people in the room, just about all of them felt, tasted warmer then she. A little forked tounge flickered in and out of her mouth, tasting the air again.
Closest to her were the Elf's and the orc it seemed, but she didn't dare as them for any assistance. Ibara slowly began to move about looking for wood, ro something she could burn. But how to start a fire in this place?

"Feeling confused?" Kira asked, grinning bodly. "Regardless of who does it, I still get my way. Claudette is hurt and now she is being... As Svana puts it. Plundered. I don't care who does it."
"Besides," she said, tracing Svana's jawline with her finger, "Blair is planning to betray Claudette in hopes her organization will fall apart. You may think he's sucking up, but I know better."

After a few more moments, the room starts to feel almost sauna-like. Most of that water that was in and on things has moved to the air and it's getting considerably warmer in here. This probably doesn't mean much to those who are used to the swamp, but it might be uncomfortable for others. As for Jelryn himself, he's looking rather sickly at this point, but it just might be because of the sheer amount of sweat that seems to be accumulating on his forehead. Making an impatient gesture towards Anrhea he summons her over. Soon she is dabbing the sweat off of his forehead while he continues to concentrate.

Svana swatted Kira's hand away, annoyed enough with her at a distance, much less up close. "She may be getting plundered, but she's not getting raped," Svana retorted blandly. "What's happening right now is everything she could have ever wanted. The tender embrace of her true love in her time of need."
She seriously doubted Blair was going to betray Claudette. Kira was easily manipulated. And if he was, well, what did she care? It wasn't like she had a stake in their political squabble.
"He did seem resistant to the idea of weaseling her out of harm's way. I do doubt he truly cares for her," Baldur chimed in, much to her surprise.
"What are you talking about?"
"Either he's very selfish or very stupid, but him using Claudette actually makes sense. He doesn't care that his actions harm her."
She shrugged. The room was started to heat up, much to her relief. That was all she cared about. The sudden humidity was even welcome, familiar.

Kira was about to respond with a crude hand gesture, but was interrupted by Blair carrying a fully clothed Claudette who was wrapped in a blanket.
"I didn't do it," he told Kira. "Claudette was sleeping off the injuries, and I didn't want to make her feel worse. But while you were beating her, I was working on a little something. I might be allergic to magic, but I can do something incredible. Take a look."
He laid Claudette on one of the remaining tables, still asleep. Blair raised both of his hands, and gold began to spin between them until a large ball was twirling in the air. He dropped it on Claudette, and her wounds were beginning to heal up.
Feeling sick, Blair threw himself into a chair and drank some of the medicine from Claudette.
"Kira hurting Claudette awakened something within me," he said, grinning.
"Impossible," Kira snapped.

"Get some buckets," Jelryn hissed to Anrhea through gritted teeth. The slave girl nodded her head and went to get any pots, pans, or other receptacles from the staff as she could carry. A few of them even helped her bring them over to the mage. Once they were arranged nearby, Jelryn made a pulling motion with his free hand several times, as though hauling and invisible rope. Then he made a sudden squeeze and his arm tensed for several seconds before he let go. All the extra moisture in the air coalesced into a single blob in the center of the room. Moments later it divided into several smaller blobs, which fell into the containers with a loud SLOSH.
Looking utterly exhausted, the mage sank to his knees. Anrhea rushed over to him. He murmured a few words to her and she nodded. Taking some coinage from him, she ordered him a room. Taking the key from the staff, she excused herself to help her master to his room. On their way past the people gathered, Jelryn looks between Blair and Kira. "It isn't unheard of that a great swell of emotion can awaken magic in someone, but usually it's very unstable when the emotion dies down," he says in a weak voice.

Svana squeezed her long hair out grumpily. Her clothes were sodden, her boots soaked through. Scowling, she removed them in annoyance. She would much rather be barefoot anyway.
"I can't believe it. Fierce queen of the elves with a weakness for water. Didn't you live in the swamp?" Baldur drawled.
"I knew how to keep myself dry," she snapped. And it was the cold, not the wet, that made her uncomfortable, not that she intended on correcting him.

Cold, wet now hot and...still a bit wet? Oh star's this place was werid. Ibara shed the garment Claudette had given her as she began to warm. Overheating was as much of a danger as being to cold. The snake sat down, hiking up the skirt to her mid thighs, she then reached back braiding the ebony hair to both keep it out of the way and off her skin. "Such odd magics.."

"What is magic like from your world?" Anrhea had re-entered just in time to hear Ibara's comment. By now the room is still fairly warm, but much drier. The heat was enough to evaporate a lot of the moisture out of people, and the staff has removed the buckets. Goodness knows what they will do with all that extra water. Probably boil it for future use. "I extend my master's apologies for the inconvenience," she states to the people of the room in general, inclining her head politely. "He is resting now, and I should point out that he has warded his room, so bothering him would be unwise." Slowly the room will start to cool now that the magic is no longer supporting the heat. Hopefully it will go back to normal before the next magical temper tantrum upsets things.

Blair looked for Jelryn but he was gone. "What do you mean, unstable? The magic can't stay, or I'll die, probably," he asked, a little panicked.
"You're part of Harbinger, aren't you!?" Kira shouted at Blair. "You must be. There's no other explanation. You're working with SHADOW! I can't believe I almost married you!"
Kira was seething. How dare he betray her!
"Kira, calm down," Claudette said. "Go.. Play with Svana or something."
That actually seemed like a good idea, and Kira immediately took off towards Svana.
"Thank you for all of your help, Anhrea and Jelryn and Ibara," Claudette said. "We would still be in trouble if it wasn't for your help. We are in debt to you." She was referring to herself and Blair.
Blair, who was stumbling towards Svana, said, "I'm the worst person ever. Look how hurt she was."
He hit into a wall, nearly blind from the poison of the magic manifesting in his body.

Svana wrapped Urt's big arms around her to share his body warmth, huffing grumpily. Her body was slow to reacclimate to cooler places, and even now with the temperature higher in the cafe, being soggy just brought on a natural chill. She simply didn't tolerate the cold at all, even if nobody else considered it cool.
And of course Kira had started over to join her again. "I can see why you all hate each other. You, Claudette, Blair. You're all annoying," she complained viciously.

"But... But...," Kira's eyes were filling with tears. "You and I are so alike. Claudette and Blair are the ones who are annoying, not me! I'm the new ruler of the Immortals! I'm too amazing to be annoying!"
Claudette glared at Kira as she administered medicine to Blair. Pushing her slave marks to his skin, she was gently absorbing the magic out of his body. Wrist to stomach, she crouched low to the floor and to Blair. He was slowly regaining his normal coloring.

Once again, she dug out her ear closest to Kira. "Do you have any notion how shrill you are? Is that a curse of your immortality? That with every year that passes your voice goes up another octave?" She was in no mood to be charitable or nice.
Baldur rubbed at his own headache. "I'm starting to thing a curse of your immortality is that you get dumber every year," he muttered under his breath. At first she thought he was talking about Kira, which was admittedly funny, but Urt snarled something crude and vicious at him and she realized the remark had been aimed at her.

"What's wrong with you!?" Kira shouted. "You're so mean, and I've been so nice to you!"
Angry and hurt tears slid down Kira's crimson face in rapid succession beneath her arms on, forming a puddle on Svana's table. Loud, shallow sobs escaped her as she sniffled and snorted, snot trailing down her visage mixing with the drool that dripped out of her slack and glossy mouth.
"Svana has a point," Blair said quietly, trying to not further upset Svana. "You did throw up on her, you've made it snow and ice, she freezes because of you, and she puts up with everything else you've done. I think you should truly apologize to her and try to not be so obnoxious."

"Of course I'm mean," she snapped, urging Urt back first and then scooting away with him. "And Blair--amazingly--has a point. Although you shouldn't apologize. It's unbecoming. Sucking it up and stopping crying wouldn't hurt, though.
Urt was still glaring at Baldur until she smacked him. "Leave it."
He growled, but she ignored the protest.
