"Sorry, man, I'm taken," Ian said with a playful wink in Jasper's direction. "But I wouldn't say no to you buying me dinner sometime, as friends. As for Nightwing, he is definitely cool, but I'm still partial to Iron Man myself. Must be the loads of money Stark has..."

The drinking problems and a lot of booze made him flinch slightly, clearly having hit some sort of mark of Ian's; but he forced a smile and slid his hands into the pocket of his coat.

"You go to a place called the Cove," he answered. "Basically a cave. You go down all these steps and you'll find yourself in this giant room that has hundreds of these...glowy tablet things all up everywhere. You'll know which one is yours; it'll talk to you, in here," he added, tapping a finger against the side of his head. Naomi made a soft noise, and Ian continued.

"The weapon picks the hunter, after all."

He got a long more serious stare before it broke into a grin again, as though smiling would make everything work out at that moment. “Iron Man it is then…drinks are on you” He winked. “And you can bring your pepper pots or your Rhodey”

He did let the smile falter for a second at the thought of the weapons though. “They pick you, and…talk to you.”

He looked thoughtful. “Like…literal talk to like Jarvis or more like, questionable morality weapon or inherited condition like Witchblade or Darkness?”

“Magic,” he answered flatly. Then he broke out into a grin. “It’s actually a bit more complicated than that, but we’ll save that for another time.” Wilson finally stood up to lean away from Eva. One hand draped over her shoulders, he gestured with his other for Bradley to follow him.

“We call it the Dark Cove, and just a heads up—the weapon picks you, not the other way around.” Another smile as he began to exit the pod room. “Now if you’d follow me~”

"The default answer to everything here is magic," Eva piped up unhelpfully, reaching out to unabashedly take Bradley's hand in hers as she walked alongside Wilson, "Otherwise it'd take too long to explain unless you have time to sit down for a good hour or so." Which, she realized, they would probably have to do with Bradley at some point. They certainly weren't going to let their cousin stumble about blindly, at least.

As they made their way out of the pod room and towards the cove, the woman turned to toss a cheerful smile over her shoulder at their newbie hunter. "Hopefully you'll end up with a partner that you get along with! I mean, I guess you'll kind of have to learn how to cooperate since you'll be sharing headspace, but it's definitely easier if you get picked by a weapon with an easy personality."

Eva thought she heard Chara grumble at this. To be fair, while she and Chara did clash somewhat, they did get along pretty well.

A dull ache filled her body, each muscle felt sore as they slowly flexed against the pod sides. Everything felt off like she had stayed up to long and slept in to late, her heart hammered in her chest quickly for a few beats before it settled down. Strange hisses filled her ears and anxiety sent images of thousands of snakes into her blacked vision. On a deep breath and loud yawn, blue blurry eyes blinked open sliding from side to side to make sure no serpents were around.

The stale air filled her lungs as she smiled slightly when upon a few blinks it revealed that there were in fact no snakes in the- Casket? Startled when her eyes finally pushed past the headache inducing lights she tapped at the material that encased her. Tiny taps in attempts to get the attention of the man she seen clearly waiting on the opposite end of the strange contraption. After a few strange noises and no movement from the other she figured out, getting out would be left up to her.

Pushing both hands out in front of her she shoved the pod until it opened up and released her, though given how long it had been since she had actually moved, Lilac hit the floor. "...Heh...pretend, um, you didn't see that.." She chuckled groggily, a faint pink dusting her cheeks as she peered up to him and adjusted the rose hair accessory on her head. Beyond where she was her first thoughts were a little mixed, though she ended up settling on one, "...Who are you? I like that blanket, do you mind if I borrow it?.." She shivered a bit, fully aware of being on the cool floor with her bare thighs now. Pushing up slowly, she steadied herself before brushing down the fabric of her dress. Slowly as she awaited his response her eyes trailed away, roaming over the room they were in and cringing at all the beeps and cracks.

It felt like being in a casino, with all the glowy parts and noises, only much more freakier since there were human shaped pods all around like the one she had just stepped from. Lilac winced slightly then started turning back towards the man only to pause as a few pieces of memories pushed up, shadows, fighting it was all confusing and honestly was starting to give her a headache. "Where are we? I mean..I don't remember exactly coming here.." Which was new considering she barely did anything without remembering it. Unless she had been drunk, but the lack of bad breath and hangover said otherwise.

Lifting a hand up to touch her head, just to make sure she didn't have trauma and might be in the hospital, when nothing came of it she left her hand fall. Only to startle as it hit the attachment on the pod she came out in. On a glance over it, it was clear it was a tag. "Ooh..that's me." On a wrinkled nose laugh she turned back to the man, now fully attentive and ready for some answers, though also ready to pick up something and club him if need be.

Harland wished he had some kind of medical training, or experience, but that wasn't his Division. It was also not his past. He immediately tried to catch her, but missed; somehow he hadn't expected that, he supposed. Still, he tried to help her up, offering his name as soon as he could and unfurling the blanket to slip it around her shoulders. "Maidin mhaith, a roisín. I'm Harland Leander Belle, born and raised in Connemara," he said, his Irish-American accent betraying the mix in descent; he hadn't spent all his years there, after all. He'd just wished her good morning, called her little rose.

"The blanket's for you," Harland said, leaning to read the plaque with her name on it. Still, it would be rude not to ask, wouldn't it? "What would ye like me to call you?" he asked, keeping one arm extended slightly to make sure that she wouldn't fall again.

"It's out of the trials ye'll be comin', I suspect," he began, "like I've been before, and the others, too. Welcome to Deus Ex, sleepin' beauty of a hunter," he said, with one of his sunny smiles. His eyes looked concerned, though.

He felt suddenly very underqualified for this. An entire human life, come out of slumber, and he was the welcoming committee. "This's the cove, an' it's where Hunters wake," Harland explained, gesturing with one hand.

Or don't, Coyote added helpfully. She's gorgeous. This is one of those times it's a shame I can't take over your body, Coyote continued, making Harland feel relatively uncomfortable. He tried to hide the blank, occupied look on his face, and then sighed.

"Tá brón orm," he said. He had decided to explain what was happening, because she'd have to know. "Now that you're wakin', won't be long till you've got a voice in your head as well, he started, pointing to his temple with a lopsided smile. "Next is the room full of.. tiles," he said, not sure how to describe it. "Our weapons carry the souls of some creature, and yours'll pick you... it's hard to explain, but nothin' worse'n what ye've just been through," he said. He was trying to be reassuring, but he was pretty sure it wouldn't work. He ran a hand through his wavy hair.

"Why don't I walk ye there?" he asked, "An' we can find your room, find somethin' t' eat... maybe even go for a walk, if you've missed the air and outdoors like I did," he said.

Oh, he knew this one.

Looking down at his little clip board, he leaned against the wall as he listened to the familiar sounds of hissing and clicking as the pod worked it's way open, almost like a pod-like death throw, he thought internally. As the fog cleared up, he watched the freshly awoken hunter fly out of the pod, down to the floor that had seen many, many faces in it's life.

He may have been secretly going "Timm-berrr" under his breath as Lydia went down to the ground. Giving a moment, he walked forward, going to crouch down to lightly to patpat her head, resting his arms on his knees.

"Allo." Simple, straight forward. He knew this one already - it was still weird that she even was still sleeping. "Lydia, oui? Now you are actually 'ere. Welcome to Deus. Are you okay?" He asked, hovering over her a little further in case she had somehow gotten a concussion or something from her tumble.

"Pepper Potts is pretty hot, okay," Ian said with a wink. "But in this case, it's my 'Rhodey.' You'll probably meet him eventually, he's a cute pink haired guy."

The look on Jasper's face clearly indicated the guy was very dubious about said weapons. "Look, I know it sounds crazy," Ian said reassuringly. "I thought it was crazy myself, but it'll all make sense once you visit the cove, I promise. I'd show you my own weapon, but Naomi's feeling a bit temperamental right now."

A pause as he considered the last question.

"Jarvis-ish."

Everything was magic, huh? Well that was a good way to explain it. It at least did it for Bradley. He chuckled and followed the pair out of the room. "Alright, so I go in there, get picked by my weapon a la Harry Potter, and then.... start training I'm guessing?" he asked them once they'd reached the cove. "Sound simple enough."

He was eager to get going, perhaps too eager to be honest. But what's the worse it could happen while meeting his weapon?

“Huh…. Awesome.” He said and flashed a wide grin. “I mean, really, how worried can I let myself be about crazy right now, I just woke up in a space pod, by men in white coats who fortunately aren’t hugging themselves, I’m kind of bleary to admit it, but if I don’t keep my chin up then I might take a spiral down the dead pool route, and as cool as I think it is that he breaks the fourth wall I don’t think anyone wants me addressing an unseen narrator. He laughed and clapped a light hand on Ian’s shoulder.

“SO…. Iron man, wana lead me to this cove? Then maybe we can see what Batman gets on strange islands!”

"Basically," he confirmed. "Eva and I will be waiting right outside. You have to walk in on your own."

With a grin, Wilson slapped Bradley on the back to urge him forward. "Let's get this party started, hm?"

Ian decided he liked this Jasper fellow. He smiled widely and returned the clap to his shoulder by patting Jasper's shoulder in a friendly sort of way before jerking his head towards the door.

"Come on, Batman, let's go find your Batmobile."

Grinning from ear to ear, Eva released Bradley's hand and fluttered her fingers at him in a wave. "Make sure to show off your new partner when you get out, okay? I'm eager to meet them!"

"Now shoo, Brad, shoo!"

Something was patting her on top of the head.

She really hadn't seen much of anything before she had fallen, let alone anybody in the room with her, but she was suddenly struck very swiftly with a sense of deja-vu. This all seemed so familiar, but in a distant way, as though she had maybe dreamed something quite similar once before....

And that voice..that...voice...

"Owwwwwww..." She moaned some more, hissing slightly and curling up even tighter, before actually answering him. "You sound quite familiar. Have we met before?" She seemed to recall vivid blue and pink for some reason. And something about a shirt.....and tattoos.....

But that had only been a dream, hadn't it?

"Dorian? Etes-vous Dorian?" She asked, her head finally turning, hazel eyes finally blinking up at him from behind a mess of tangled brown hair as she did so.

She was glad for the help up, though did eye him a bit while standing. With the blanket curled around her shoulders she snuggled in deep, lips pushing out in a pucker for a moment as the others accent came out. Well, while she had no idea what he was saying, it sure sounded adorable. This Harland Leander Belle, born and raised in Connemara, was certainly a smooth talker she figured catching at least the word roisin and being able to link it back to rose or at least assume that's what it meant. That in mind a faint rosy color touched her peachy cheeks before fading away with curiosity, the blanket was for her? On a smile she thanked him, "that's really nice of you Harland, thanks so much, now my tush isn't so cold.." As she spoke her fingers rubbed the fabric, only to pause when catching a bit of embroidery. "Oh.." Turning it around she eyed the little design then peered to the man, he must really like cowboy things. "So cute." The comment was made absently as she tucked the blanket back around to cover more of her body.

When the other noticed the plaque too she chuckled sweetly and shrugged, "Lilac is fine, I can't really give you a bum name now, can I? " Noticing his arm was still out she took a curious step in and coiled her own hesitantly around it, it was meant for stability right? At least she hoped as she did a small snuggle into the appendage, liking the comfort in this unknown, even if she didn't know him, she could feel his warmth now and know he was real. "Trails?" The question was semi-blurted as the other spoke of coming out of them, though trailed off as he continued to speak. As she listened some vague pieces of memory came back to her and again her petite nose wrinkled in trying to recall full details. "Deus Ex is this some kind of special club, haha, ..does that make you Prince Phillip?.." Her head tilted, long hair cascading to one side and big blues stared up at the ginger with a tickled twinkle for being called Sleeping Beauty.

He sure had one great smile she couldn't help but think looking over him now, though the look in his eyes did have her a bit worried. When the place was explained she gave a faint nod before glancing around, the cove, huh it looked fitting of its name she supposed. Hunters. Blinking she asked slowly to make sure she heard right, "Hunters?...I'm not really into killing animals.." On a frown she shook her head to rid a rather paranoid thought that was coming up, what if these hunters hunted humans? Like the ones in the pods, like her? Slowly and mostly unintentionally she released the hold she had on his hand, watching as he sighed, spoke something strange then began about voices in his head.

Red Flag, Lilac smiled hard to keep herself from backing away from him right there. Or was he making fun of her, was this really a hospital, did that clipboard have parts of her past on it, the voices? What was going on, her sweet features were quickly turning sour only changing to dumbfounded as Harland gave her a lopsided smile and started to talk about weapons with souls. "Um...ok?" The look on her face said she clearly wasn't buying any of that, but being as she was in a room of crazy looking pods well she had no other choice. "Yes please!" And again she was back to clinging to the man, he seemed genuine enough in his words, even if they sounded as crazy as crazy could be. Walking along with him she smiled slightly and nodded, any place outside would have to be better than in here, "I'd really like that a lot, the outside I mean, hey Harland thanks for being such a sweetie. I'm glad you were here when I woke up." She really meant what she said too, even if things were still a bit off. As they walked she gave him a soft look and curled into the blanket before patted his arm, walking along silently now until they reach the next stop.
