"Like brothers, huh? They ever a handful?" Jules asked. He couldn't help wondering.

"Actually, I can't say too much about Tristen. I've only kept him around for a few weeks now. Tails, though, he can be at times, but you can't help but to love the kid, you know. Its funny how I run into the both of them, while their pasts are all so different, its similar to how I come to find them." I said to him.

"Yea, Blizzard tends to be a bit of a savior without even trying to at times." Freth said.

"Saving their lives, huh?" Jules said. He was anticipating a story or two. He predicted this came with parental territory. "Since Tails is sometimes a handful, I'm guessing he's as feral as he looks?"

"More than what you possibly realize." I said to him. "More than what I even realized for that matter until really getting into the matter. Tell me something. What would you think if I told you that Tails is more Pokemon than the two of us, to the extent that only roughly ten percent of him is actually human, just enough to actually show only a few human traits like being able to stand up right, get thumbs, and speak English?" I asked him.

"Yea, you thought just the thought of the possibility of Klonoa kicking the hell out of you was weird. Imagine how Tails came to pass. I'll give you a hint. It wasn't natural." Freth said.

"Hmm, this sounds like bad news already," Jules said. "Can't be worse than being a child slave, can it?"

"He was experimented on. On a constant basis. That scientist I told you about that we went out to shut down? He did it to Tails a year before I met him. Worse still? When Tails still had his wits about him...at the time, he was on a spiral of depression because of not only said experiments, but Ein experimented on a friend of his to the extent to where Tails no longer recognized the Pokemon." I said to him. "It lead to the point where Ein just went, 'Ok, Done', wiped Tails of his memories and tossed him out like garbage."

"In other words, yes, it can be worse than child slavery." Freth said. "Tails ran around all of Orre and Jhoto, scavenging and stuff, for nearly a year before making his way into Mahogany Town where Blizzard finally found him."

"Wait, his friend was a Pokemon?" Jules repeated. His eyebrow quirked, and his voice clearly reflected his distress. "Are you telling me Tails was a Pokemon at first?"

"Wait, his friend was a Pokemon?" Jules repeated. His eyebrow quirked, and his voice clearly reflected his distress. "Are you telling me Tails was a Pokemon at first?"

"Yes, he originally was. A Vulpix pup taken from a den somewhere in the Orre Region. His friend? A Eevee, that got its evolution screwed all to hell by having traits of Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon all at the same time." I said.

"Tristen didn't get to have any better luck. While he gets the benefit of not being experimented on, he's been a hybrid since the day he was born. Used to living in Hyda and all. He got kidnapped from his parents at a young age and ended up in some sort of tribe that. I don't know. I don't even really get it, really." Freth said, staring at me.

"Miles jokes that the tribe was sterile and they're just desperate to keep tradition alive somehow."

"Miles joked about that?" Freth asked, skeptically.

"That doesn't really sound like something to joke about. I dunno who this Miles is, but are you sure he was joking?" Jules asked.

"Really, I never could figure out that Ninetales hybrid fully, despite my best efforts. He left me guessing from the moment I met him. I don't know if it was his way to teach me something or...eh." I shrugged. "At any rate, as for that tribe, I really don't know. It is a possibility, considering that when we found Tristen, along with several other kids for that matter, was found captive and was apparently being trained their way in a brutal fashion and what have you, eeeeh." I shrugged. "Yea, that one particular tribe is no longer around though. Took the kids out of captivity and wrecked the place and made everyone scatter after Miles killed the leader personally."

"Fortunately, as far as what I heard, Blizzard got the kids out of there before they got to see what Miles did to wreck the place." Freth said.

"Hell, I still hadn't seen the aftermath of that place. Probably nothing left given what I felt that evening when we got out of there." I said to her. "It was. That bad."

"I could imagine."

This left Jules rubbing his chin in thought. "So...This Miles guy is some kind of desperado? I mean, anyone who'd mess with kids deserves what they have coming to them, but he doesn't live for that stuff, does he?"

"Really, what much I could figure out about Miles...he's a simple man wanting to go about a simple life. Live with his kid and wife in peace and what have you." I said. "Peace and love and all of that good stuff."

"Though really, more often than not, it doesn't turn out that way as far as we both can figure." Freth commented. "Doesn't mean that he doesn't get a kick out of occasionally depending on what is going on. The whole tribe thing wouldn't be one of those things, obviously."

"So he's a family man," Jules said, and nodded. Then he would know what it's like to raise a kid. And Ninetales really like kids, or so he heard. It made sense. "So...when he's a handful, what kind of hell does Tails raise, anyway?"

I looked towards Freth, as Freth looked towards me, and couldn't help but laugh. "Well, we can't complain too much. He does try to restrain himself at least." I said.

"The probably most vile act that he's done, at least in Blizzard's case, he switched Coke with Pepsi." Freth said.

"That's apart from attempting to set a pants leg, pants that I am wearing, by the way, on fire just to get my attention." I said. "Which justifies all the more reason I wear the stuff I do." I said.

"Oooh, so Blizzard' one of those people," Jules said, grinning. "So how'd he do it? And how long did it take Blizzard to notice?"
