Ieyasu

Ah, fantastic timing Ieyasu. Absolutely fantastic. Ieyasu would have laughed if the situation didn't look to be a little bit serious. It was hard though. Especially having gotten a proper look at Alyosha now. He was in a skirt! It was oddly alluring at that...

The kitsune took a step back from Syrenrei, having found himself face to face with the distraught hanyou. Despite it all, despite the fact that it wasn't wise, despite the fact that everyone else was deadly serious, and despite the fact that he was face to face with a miffed woman, he had to stifle a grin. His inner demon was urging him on, to just say what was on his mind. So he did. He muttered quietly, just loud enough for Syrenrei to hear. "Damn, that must be upsetting. He looks better in that skirt than you do.."

Spotting Delta, Osusuki leapt back up to his feet again, chirping cheerfully. All the angst and tension was lost on him - why would he be concerned with what the big people were talking about? Trotting over to the other gryphon, he then noticed the little tiny Aerandir near her. Oh! It was someone new! A new friend, maybe!? Happily, he chirped at the both of them, greeting them jovially.

As Delta was laying on the floor, looking like her best friend (her mirror) had just died, Sy pulled back and swung right at 'yasu's jaw. Her anger, frustration, sadness, depression, everything had balled up inside her and exploded as his rather crude comment. It figured that all the men on this island were hot for each other. Just her luck.

Alyosha was forgotten for the moment. So was Kiro, Delta, and the rest of the world. Of course, all her anger and intentions poured into this punch didn't exactly make it powerful. She was still only around 120 pounds and never worked out. She was no mountain of muscle, and barely knew how to even properly aim a punch.

Everyone was coming here it seemed. The few moments where Sy had spoken to Ieyasu had given him a reprieve to think, if briefly. She had offered to give him Delta back. He knew she wasn't in her right mind there. Mother instinct had given out to anger.

Still.

And then she leapt for Ieyasu. GAH! Bloody woman was an unreasonable b***h! He crossed the distance between them in a blur of speed, coming up behind her and grabbing his arms around her, skidding against the ground in the soft, rain fed sand. "WOMAN!" he shouted in her ear. "Will you calm yourself down before I break your neck!" He'd known females who were fiesty and those who would lose their tempers easy but Sy was something beside that. He gripped her tightly, still, lying in the mud. He had wanted her to go but he wanted her to stay all the same. Her closeness, them rolling in the mud, his outfit, the whole damn situation.. it was SO BLOODY... funny. He began to laugh.

He could have seen that one coming. Syrenrei's punch hit him squarely in the jaw, knocking his face to the side. It didn't really do much more than that. He'd taken punches off of kids that were stronger.

He grinned at her momentarily. Before Alyosha tackled her forcefully to the ground, skirt fluttering et al.

...In all fairness, he had deserved that punch. He had asked for it even. Alyosha obviously hadn't heard what he had said. Then, the other kitsune began to laugh. What the hell? He then had to suppress a grin himself as he wondered how Syrenrei would take this.

Knowing her own limits, she realized quickly that there wasn't an easy way to escape Alyosha. He was much stronger than her, and with her mind still clouded with mixed emotions, she couldn't muster the concentration to use her other powers. So for the time being she allowed herself to be held on the ground by a laughing man in a skirt. It was somehow humiliating.

As she opened her mouth to say something, she choked on the water that poured into her mouth. Goddamnit. He had to have *her* facing the sky. She didn't much care for laying out in the rain and coughing on water. And it couldn't be good for her health.

Still glaring at Alyosha, Ieyasu might be somewhat relieved she was caught. If she could, she would do *something* to make him sorry for teasing her during such a stressed time.

Kiro had barely even noticed it was raining outside as he stepped up to the door - standing in the doorframe to watch the scene. Alyosha and Sy... mud wrestling? He hugged at his elbows quietly, his face still the picture of worry. The fact that Alyosha was laughing only confused him more. To Kiro's mind, he'd started an arguement - he didn't know what about - and now Alyosha was laughing. Now, this could only be good, but Sy still wasn't looking too happy... That could only be bad...

He felt his ears twitching rapidly, curling his bare toes in a little away from the damp. He shook his head gently, feeling his tail twitch behind him... "Wha...?"

No... questions were useless... he suddenly blushed anew as he remembered he wasn't really in the position to be asking them.

Alyosha looked down at Sy, a grin still on his face. His amusement was plain as he leaned forward to kiss her lightly. "You are an idiot... to think that I would bother with someone else while you were around" he would try flattery. Like her daughter it seemed like you could get somewhere with it. "Sy..." he laughed again, looking down at himself and her. Everything was sodden. "Come back inside, yasu and kiro too.." it was cold, wet and this was... something which had gotten out of hand.

Ieyasu shrugged, leaving the two lovebirds to it in the mud. If they were going to get all soppy now... He never had been able to deal with the whole romantic side of things well. He preferred the more interesting side of things.

Heading over to the door past Alyosha and Sy, he grinned at Kiro, nodding to the kid. He looked none-too-happy about something. Stepping past the gryphons, he was careful not to step on any of them. Especially not the little tiny one. He wondered briefly who was looking after that one before passing by. He didn't bother calling to Osu - he'd leave the gryphon with the other Aerandir for now. They were just out of the rain anyway.

She had every intention of staying angry with him, for at the very least his statement regarding her parenting, but then he had to say something sweet. So incredibly sweet and kind that it completely disabled and unarmed her turrets of angry ammunition. All she could do was sigh feebly. He had still hurt her, but she hadn't been an angel either- and perhaps she should have trusted him... despite the looks. Although if she had been holding a naked man, she had a feeling he'd act the same way.

"You're the one that put me out here," she said with a touch of tired sarcasm in her voice. It was cold and wet, and she knew that Delta wouldn't want to touch anything dripping wet. She'd at least better dry off.

Kiro nodded gently back to Ieyasu, remembering having seen him before, but not sure he remembered quite who he was. He followed Ieyasu indoors after a quick glance back at Sy and Alyosha, presuming they'd follow, and then stepping nimbly past the gryphons, smiling lightly at Tsukai's querying peep as he did so. He let the little Aerandir do as he liked, he seemed to be meeting people.

Oh gods... he hoped explainations weren't about to start. That could very well be the death of him... Although, he prefered that to the arguement that had just finished...

Alyosha nodded and got to his feet, offering her a hand up. Once they were both on their feet he walked towards the centre. "Come with me and get some dry clothes, Sy-chan?" he motioned towards the centre, his room. they could even skip around the back via the veranda..

Seeing as she was thoroughly drenched, wet sand was wedging in uncomfortable places, and she was starting to sniffle a little, she felt obliged to follow. After all, he had to make up to her for the means things he had said and vice versa.

And she needed to have someone do a thorough inspection and make sure there wasn't any rogue wet sand anywhere. No one did that better than Aly.

Kiro couldn't help but glance behind him as he went into the centre. Sy and Alyosha - thank gods - didn't look like they were in the mood for some hardcore explainations. This was definately a good thing. That meant he could slip away and be mortified in private.

"Tsu, y'coming?" he said, an ear twitching as he addressed the tiny gryphon. Tsukai obidiently peeped and hopped and fluttered towards him. Then he leaped into his guardian's offered hand, and up onto Kiro's shoulder - his usual position.

He turned to Ieyasu with an apologetic nod. "I hope you don't mind if I abandon you..." he mumbled quietly. Without waiting for a response, he scurried off.

Oh, he'd have something to tell the journal tomorrow. But for now... sleep was the most important thing.

Fae grunted as the green umbrella popped open and rose it over her head. From the porch, she shared the shelter with Pueblo- she had no idea if the rain would effect the wisp, but didn't feel up to experimenting at the moment. She was in need of another item, and as they started to walk, she had almost wished she changed into more appropriate shoes..

"I don't think anyone would be walking around in the rain...let's check the Centre," she confirmed with Pueblo. Fae fondled the paint brush in her hand idly as her satchel swayed at her hip. Eyeing disturbed mud in a patch of ground right outside the doors, it was hard not to notice as she stepped around and walked inside. Folding her umbrella up, she grimaced at her semi-muddy feet. Ick. She'd have to find something to wipe her feet and sandals off.

"Sure, no worries. See you later." Watching Kiro leave, he sighed. So much for finding something for Osu to do. After that brief... event.. everyone had quickly left again, for various reasons. It probably didn't help that he'd seriously pissed Syrenrei off. But it was funny, wasn't it? a little voice in his head chimed in. Ok. Maybe he wasn't so good at this 'being good' thing. At least, not where the potential for mischieviousness lay.

"Come on, Osu. Let's see if we can find something interesting inside."

Disappointed that everyone was leaving again so quickly, including the little gryphon that he hadn't even met properly, Osu followed Ieyasu inside with a chirp. Maybe there would be more people in here? No such luck. But maybe he could find something in the room. Chirruping again, Osu bounded off to poke at the various bits and pieces in the large circular room.
