Misaki looked up to Nikolai and smiled softly, her brown eyes lighting up. I'm glad I don't annoy you. I'd have to be really sad if I did. Most of the people I'm used to tagging along with get annoyed of me easily, she explained with a slight nod.

Nikolai thought on what she said and, to some degree, could understand how she felt. "Well, you would never annoy me. I like your company and you make me happy." He shifted a little, lightly rubbing the back of his neck. "I have not been this happy in a long time."

I make you happy? Misaki asked, her eyes glazing over before her lips parted into a wide smile. I'm so happy to hear that... I really am, she said, blushing softly before looking down and to the side.

Nikolai chuckled lightly then nodded. "Yes, you do," he said, his head tilting when she looked down. "Do I...make you happy?" He hoped so because making her sad would kill him.

Of course you make me happy! Misaki said with a smile. I don't think I've spent more time than twelve hours apart from you since I arrived, she said, wrapping her arms around his waist, resting her cheek on his shoulder. I love being around you, Nikolai... she whispered sweetly.

Nikolai wrapped one arm around her and smiled. He liked hearing her say his name. "And I am not taking up all of your time?" He shook his head a little, knowing he'd always asked that. "You can spend as much time with me as you like, Misaki. Plus, I have said that I would help you find your mother."

Sammie the Cricket Slayer Luc eased Tristian up onto his shoulder as he laid back with hiim, gently, nuzzling his hair and stroking his back, trying to comfort him a little bit more, as the boy seemed still to be more than a little pleasantly flustered.
"I love you, too, Tristian." Though it was a bit of an accident that the question slipped, the blonde sighed and looked to the vampire. Do you? His tone was slightly accusing, and he blushed when he realized it came out as it did, though he made no attempt to correct it.

Nikolai kissed her temple, being a little more daring with his interaction. "Maybe we should rest some before going to look for her." He had thought about offering her to stay as they did but Nikolai couldn't get the question out. "I think it would be best if we came up with a plan or some sort while we do so."

That is a very good idea, Misaki said, pulling him back onto the couch as she leaned against him. Well... I guess we could check the places I known she's been before. Like, the coffeehouse. I don't know of any other places she's been... for some reason, it feels like she's been... here. Not in this room, but this building.

Nikolai leaned back with her and tried to relax some. "In this building? Maybe she knows someone here?" It wasn't like him to come up with ideas and the like but he had never had a reason to before. "Should we ask people?"

Luc's eyes narrowed, but only slightly as he continued stroking his hair, softly. He nuxzzled in, murmuring softly in his ear,

She might, but I don't think she's met many people here, she stays hidden away in her room usually, which is such a shame since she's such a wonderful person, Misaki whimpered softly, leaning against Nikolai. But we can ask maybe ... she started before gasping, looking to Nikolai. I'm getting something... maybe... a vampire, yes, a vampire... she spent time... with a vampire here.

Nikolai held her close to comfort her then looked down at her when she whimpered. "A vampire?" It couldn't have been him so was there another vampire in the complex? "Should we ask the landlord if there is another here or he had seen your mother?"
