Albus's eyes opened just a crack to examine the slight weight against his side. They just as quickly and silently closed again.

Laura couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh, I'm sure she'll be lots of trouble when she grows up." She turned from Skye back to Zori. "After all, if she keeps that lovely colouring and her markings when she grows up, I'm sure the boys won't leave her alone for even a moment~" Girls who weren't nearly as pretty as Skye would be had to deal with guys all the time. It would be hard to believe that she wouldn't be hit on by anything that was male and had legs, and even then a bunch of things that were neither.

Pokemon biology is more than a little confusing.

"Hmmm.... The colour, perhaps." Zori's black body did not exactly scream "violet coloured offspring". "But the tribal markings are most definitely yours. And those are what make her really stand out, I think." Oddly coloured pokemon were not exactly something rare in the guilds. For some reason, the Guild of the Sun summoned all kinds of strange freaks (for lack of a better term (maybe)) so finding neon coloured Chimchars was not a rarity. Finding someone with an odd colour did not make them distinct, but the sophisticated markings most definitely did.

"I can't imagine." It wasn't exactly something that you could compare to. It was a unique feeling, something that was beyond simply general empathy, understanding or intelligence. If you hadn't had the feeling, you simply wouldn't be able to understand it. "Ah, being a mother, I mean. It's not like there's anything else like it." Laura smiled apologetically for not explaining before.

Talking to Zori was nice. Laura didn't get to talk with many people lately outside of the team, largely because Albus had been in a foul mood... ever since she joined. She hadn't gotten along with many people before she came to the Sun, either. It was nice, just being able to sit down and chat.

There was a brief spark of interest and a casual wonder as to why the Leafeon put so much stress on the markings as a part of her heritage. But, with something that seemed so important she could hardly ask carelessly; it seemed to be a somber subject. "And she'll always have her mother if she ever needs to ask." Your family was your heritage. That was a constant. If you ever needed to know, you would merely ask.

"Hehe... Thank you." She knew she was pretty, of course. She had always been fond of that. The Vaporeon shifted her collar and ears slightly. "I got the colour from my father. He was teased a lot for it as both an Eevee and a Flareon, but my mum loved it." And it honestly made sense that he got teased for it. Even Laura thought it looked kind of silly. A purple ruff on a red body like that... it was completely girly. She loved having it herself, though. It tied her to him.

Laura held her tongue at the sound of the quiet whimper and simply let Zori go off to do her job as a mother. If the young one was uncomfortable, something was wrong as such concerns needed to be addressed immediately; a baby was not a very strong creature, after all. Even the most minor of problems could be devastating or even deadly. Even something as small as a sniffle or cough.

"Thank you, and it's fine. Don't worry about it. She's alright, I hope?" She responded to the earlier compliment and the more modern apology in tandem, with just the softest concern at the end. A careful confirmation that Skye was unharmed. Albus could get quite hot in his sleep, so it wouldn't be entirely surprising if she was simply too warm.

Albus stayed in his restful sleep, letting out only a slight yawn at the obtrusion into his personal space but otherwise completely ignorant of what had happened.
