User ImageIt was a while later before Bapp would wake up, and it wasn't a terribly pleasant way to wake up, either.
Meta grinned evilly, gleefully as he sat up, sputtering, from the dose of Thyme Liqueur she'd poured down his throat.
"What'd I tell ya, peeps, it works for everything!" she said, to the people gathered around the duo on the seashore. "I needed to give ya a little, Bapp, so you could get the dang little microbes outta ya. You inhaled so much seawater that who KNOWS what got down you."

((Hey, maybe your character could hack up a few small clams! XD))

Harata looked at the Overseer and sighed. She touched the break button. Too late.
She winched at the sound of the boat scraping against the bottom. "Next time, I'm driving. Okay?" She looked around, and then laughed, realizing everyone else was on the floor. "Yeah. Sorry about that." For the umpteenth time in so many days, she offered the Overseer her hand.
((She was holding onto the controls, which is why she didn't fall over)))

Realizing that this boat was indeed NOT going to stop, Feline realized that evasive action was needed.

She was getting ready to hop off of the out of control boat when the Sentinel again caught her eye. Feline only had a couple of seconds to figure out what to do and she just wasn't the kind of person who could abandon others to harm, no matter who they were.

"Watch out!" she cried grabbing the Sentinel around the waist she flapped her wings as hard as she could to get them a little bit off of the deck to soften the impact.

Her feet had just barely lifted off of the wood when the boat came to a sudden halt. Feline felt a moment of elation that turned into a yowling scream of pain when one of the muscles in her wings strained and then cramped up.

They fell to the deck suddenly, Feline felt all the air knocked out of her as she hit wings first with the Sentinel on top of her. She felt the awful sensation of one of her wing bones breaking and would have cried out in pain if she had any breath to do it.

The Sentinel rolled one way and Feline found herself rolling the other. Groaning, all she was aware of was the screaming pain in her wing. She felt herself have a moment of freefall that felt like a lucid dream as she went over the side of the boat and hit the water. Then there was only comforting blackness that accompanied loseing ones consiousness.

((Defintatly keep it in Meta...you may just have to move it...or as we seem to be fond of doing with this rp, just pretending it happend after the ship crashed xp ))

“So I cried, and I begged for you to Love me love me say that you love me...”
White Mage Kyo Christmas

Confused, Kyo swam around a coral reef, puzzled at the fact he was suddenly able to breathe underwater. He twirled around as fish began to swim around with him. Curious, he began to explore the private world around him; looking in crevices and overturning rocks in search for gold. As he was inspecting a school of clown fish something rapped hum on the shoulder, causing the boy to jerk forward in panic. Turning around he faced a smiling Overseer, hoaxing him to follow. The white haired man was smiling just as he used to, before he lost his memories. Holding Kyo’s hand, the Overseer lead the boy deeper and deeper into the coral reef. There was something different about this Overseer. It was defiantly how he remembered him, but he instantly noticed something. His smile. Not once since he had been reunited with the Overseer had he seen the innocent, boyish trademark of a smile that the Overseer had. As he made this realization, his dream began to switch from showing him what he needed to see to what his heart desired. The Overseer grabbed his waist and pulled him against his chest and gazed into the boy’s blue eyes. Gently he pressed their lips together and hoaxed the boy into a deep passionate kiss. Blushing violently, Kyo let out a gasp in his dream and physically did the same, waking himself up.

Kyo sat up in the Overseer’s bed blushing and breathing heavily. He had so much on his mind. He didn’t want to doubt the fact that the Overseer he found was the real thing, but he couldn’t recall him smiling. Shaking his he tried to push the thought from his mind, but couldn’t help but feel uneasy. Gracefully he slid out from underneath the silk sheets and walked into the temple washroom to bathe. After a warm shower he decided to change up his hair stule a bit, giving it a bit of a curl. Still feeling nostalgic from his dream he dug into his personal belongings for a hairpin that the Overseer had given him as a present for hard work, and most likely just because he didn’t have any use for it himself. After fitting it into his hair he turned and smiled into a fish tank to get a better look at himself. Satisfied, he slipped into his robe and went in search of the High Priestess, calling her name as he wandered around the temple and its grounds.

In a dim area of the island's vegetation crouched a cloaked being, almost blending in completely into the shadows if not for the occasional rustle of the leaves that allowed for what little light the moon could give to gleam over its form. This person was silent, unmoving, shadowed blue eyes fixated to the Armory not so far away and the two men guarding the front door.

Yes, the cloaked being was no other than Coline.

After her visit to the Captain's cabin she'd hurriedly dashed back to the Training Grounds and left as soon and as stealthily as she could, bringing with her a cloak she often used for when she was sent to the mainland to run some errands. No one had followed her, at least from what she could tell. She certainly hoped so considering what she was about to do.

So why was she here and why was she garbed so shadily? For what else? A stakeout, of course. Coline had convinced herself that this was the only option left for her to reclaim her lost weapon. The guards' conditions were out of the question, and Jessie... she had her reasons. This setup made her reminiscent of the sabotage missions she had participated in during the war, although this would be the first time she was going to pull something like this off alone. She had to admit, it was a little nerve-racking.

Pulling more of the hood over to cover her features, Coline watched on. Knowing how well those two function as guards she was almost certain that if she waited long enough she was going to find an opening.

[[ gonk to damn bored]]

On the darker parts of the beach a man dressed in black could be seen walking, his pale skin suggesting that he was one who avoided the sunlight as much as possible, his long leather coat being blown in all directions by the wind as the man lighted his cig...

..He looked around for other people although he loved to be alone. Brain had no memory of his past, he just walked on the beach aimlessly, he knew that he had done awfull things, he found himself in some forest with no memory of his past, just a few dead people dressed in weird black and red robes were laying around him when he woke up...

..After that he kept walking untill he was where he was now. A beach, he had no idea where it was or if it was a part where he should be but he didn't mind, the wind blowing in his face made him feel good. He enjoyed his cig while looking around the place, it seemed a lot used to go on on the beach, de came to that conclusion by looking at the sand, it had been disturbed not to long ago...

.."Anyone out here?" Brain yelled, he was shocked at how rough his voice sounded, yelling out like that hurt his throat. He decided to not yell anymore, the pain in his chest grew. He didn't know what was happening to him, he coughed which was followed up by him spitting out blood, it seemed some of his internal organs were bleeding...

..He looked around but all infront of his eyes went blurry, he felt faint as he threw his cig away. He walked a few feet furder before collapsing. He lay on the beach, his face down in the sand.

Was there ever a time she'd felt this jaded? If there wasn't, well, there was now. Coline had been eyeing the two guards like a hawk for the past few hours and could feel nothing but sheer disappointment with regards to their performance. The two had gone from mindless chatting to playing cards, and now to intoxicating themselves.

Thinking it over, could she really blame them? There wasn't much point in guarding an Armory seated at the heart of Order territory, especially during times of peace. But it always pays to be prepared for the worst; it just so happened that these two preferred the former. Which worked very nicely to her favor.

Cautiously, the cloaked recruit crept around through the dimmed vegetation over to the back area of the Armory which, as she suspected, was unguarded. No wonder there were two people guarding the front; there was no one guarding the back! She glanced about, making sure the coast was clear, before taking hurried yet careful steps over to the backdoor, disassembling the lock as she best remembered from earlier on.

And it opened. Thank goodness her memory chose not to fail her tonight.

Coline gave the area a quick check before slowly opening the doors and stepping inside, keeping them open for proper lighting. She took a moment to admire the interior; the area was fairly spacious with a wide range of weapons and other battle equipment lined up. They were everywhere; along the walls, planted inside barrels, stacked on the floor... It reminded her faintly of Jessie's collection.

With the way everything was organized it didn't take long for her to figure out where the tridents were. They were all identical, of course, being the standard weapon issued to the combatants. But that posed no problem. Coline peeled off one of her gloves and closed her eyes, gliding her bare fingers over the tridents' handles. After going through a few rows she halted in her tracks, fondled at the handle, and smiled.

Opening her eyes she rooted said trident out from its place, her eyes roaming over it in wonder. "It's been a long time, my good friend..." she whispered, taking the trident into her arms, as if being reunited with a long lost companion. This was it... her trident. Safe in her arms again. She was in a state of bliss, so much so that she failed to notice voices becoming more audible by the backdoor.

"Hold on a sec bub, I gotta take a piss. Huh? Who left this open?"

Her eyes shot open and her head turned sharply to the door. Instinctively she pulled more of the hood down to cover her face, but there was no time to hide. She'd been spotted.

"Huh!? Who's there!?" the guard demanded, pulling out a standard spear from nearby, turning his head to call over his partner. "Get your a** in here! We got an intruder!!"

Coline could feel her heart pounding against her chest. It was careless of her to think that everything would go smoothly. What was she to do now?

(( Why yes, this is rather boring of me to do so, but seeing how I keep holding up RP, I am going to put my character in time out until I get more time to keep up ))

In his defense, the shore looked like it was farther out, but he hadn't been counting on the shallow sea. People were yelling at him, he panicked, Harata hurried and killed the engine, and he didn't know what was going on. Obviously the rules of ships at sea was different than on land, although they were just about to get a refresher course on how 'well' boats did on the ground. In the last seconds before they crashed he thought, 'I do not think I did a good thing.'

The anchor, persuaded by Bapp, slipped its moorings, crashed through the waves, and when it hit the sea floor, the houseboat let out a great moan and a huge shudder. The Overseer didn't know what they hit first, the bar of sand or when the anchor's winding mechanism tore from the side of the hull. He didn't have a chance to find out either, because the force of the stop cracked his head against the glass with a splatter of blood and battered his body against the controls of the ship. Everything faded to black after that, and his body slid bonelessly to the floor.

The boat wasn't so sure either, but then it was just a boat. Its anchor ripped from its side and its belly run aground, it was quickly taking on water as the waves slapped against the sides. It burbled and heaved towards one side at a sharp angle, putting everything off kilter. Poor boat didn't deserve this.

"What? Are you serious?" the partner chimed in.

From where she was standing she could see the other man peer over from the door looking rather astonished. Coline soon found herself backed up against the wall, looking at the front door through her peripheral. She could make it out of this if she made a run for it, but... wasn't the door locked from the outside? And the route to the back door was blocked by the guards.

A twisted grin formed up the armed guard's lips. "You got a lot of nerve, crossing the Mighty Guardians of the Sacred Armory..."

She knew that stance. He was preparing to strike! She had to get out of there, fast! Taking hurried steps towards the front door Coline, with as much power as she could muster, crashed her shoulder against it in an attempt to break it open. She winced.

From a distance she could hear him laugh mockingly, but she kept on. "Hahaha! It's pointless! There's no way you can break that door open that way. Heck, I've tried it myself!"

"D-Dude... Aren't you getting a little carried away? There's one of him and two of us, I'm sure we can--"

"Shut up!" he barked. "See? The punk's got a weapon on 'im. He could stab us both with that thing! And besides," A smirk formed up his lips. "I haven't seen any action ever since we got stationed in this dump. We could use a little freshening up."

Reluctantly, the partner plucked a spear from a nearby barrel. "If you say so..."

"Atta boy. Now!" he said, assuming his stance yet again. "Prepare to be vanquished, evil-doer!"

Taking a quick look over her shoulder, her eyes widened. The man was now charging towards her. She was running out of time. She'd been trying desperately to break the door open; she could feel it budge, but could she really pull it off? Or should she take up arms and fight? It was a gamble either way, and things were looking grim with each passing moment.

Coline could feel her body temperature rise, her heartbeat resounding through her ears. This was the same feeling she got during her disarming exercises with the Captain; the feeling she got when it seemed like her life was on the line. She was scared. Her breathing grew hoarse. Was this the end?

...No.

"GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" she bellowed, crashing her shoulder against the door one last time with every ounce of strength in her body. And, sure enough, it tore open. But she didn't make it out unscathed. The guard who was charging at her had managed a gash across her leg.

[Break]

[Signature Strike]

Coline maneuvered herself into a somersault to make some distance and sprinted into the shadowed plant life from whence she came, making tracks back towards her humble lodging. The pain would come to haunt her much later.

[Signature Travel]

"Tch. Lucky brat." the guard grumbled, setting aside the bloodied spear. His eyes caught sight of something on the ground. Pacing towards he picked it up and found that it was a brown leather glove. "He must've dropped it." His partner came dashing out to his side not so long after. "Did he take anything else?"

"Nope, nothing else." he answered. "Strange... why would he break in for one measly trident? It wasn't anything special either; the standard."

"Who knows?" Massaging the glove between his fingers, an amused smirk crept up his lips. "Hah. This should make for an interesting report."
