Kairi

Kairi relaxed a little more when Naminé laughed and gave her a reassuring smile, promising everything was going to be fine. The Princess knew that perfectly well, but she couldn't help but worry. The petite blonde then spoke the the crimsonette again, but this time through their link. She told Kairi that once everything was settled with Lakayna they'd go to see Kairi's parents and everything would be okay there as well, and that no matter what she'd be with her. The Princess was comforted by her Other's words. "Thank you Naminé," Kairi thought to her, squeezing her hand as she did so, "That means everything to me." She smiled at Naminé before turning toward the beach just in time to see Lakayna fly through the portal Hikari had created.

Once Lakayna had gone through the portal it disappeared, and a smaller one reappeared on the ground for the others. Hikari motioned for Sora and Axel to go through which they did. After them the silver-haired girl told the red head and the blonde it was their turn. "Right." Kairi nodded to Hikari. She ever so slightly tightened her grip on Naminé and then the two walked forward. A second later they were engulfed in darkness as the entered the portal. The Somebody and Nobody held on to each other and kept walking, no stopping or turning back, and after a few moments they emerged onto what appeared to be a snowy mountain. Kairi blinked at the sudden brightness. The snow was so white and bright compared to the darkness they had just traveled through. At this moment the Princess would have let go of Naminé, but the moment they had entered the Land of Dragons Kairi began shivering. Her usual dress was perfect for the Islands, where it was always warm, but here in a place surround by snow Kairi was freezing. Having lived most of her life on that tropical paradise, the red head had never felt this cold in her entire life. She was sure Naminé felt the same way.

The Princess clung to Naminé trying to stay warm, hoping she wasn't squeezing the poor blonde to death, as she looked around. Before the two girls stood Lakayna, Axel, and Sora. A moment later Riku and lastly Hikari came through the portal, which closed behind the silvernettes. The crimsonette was glad that they had all made it though fine. "So, what do we do now?" Kairi asked the group through chattering teeth, wishing she hadn't been stupid and dressed for the occasion better.

Lakayna flew on towards the mounbtains; past vilages, and the Imperial Army's campsite, eventually coming to land in a sort of snow-covered valley carved out with the mountian peaks surrounding it. The moment Lakayna touched down, all her friends emerged one by one through the dark portal Hiakari had created for them. When they were all through; the portal closed behind Hikari and Lakayna heard Kairi ask 'So, what do we do now?'

Lakayna closed her eyes. Her father had mentioned that she would know what to look for. It came to her, if a bit fuzzily; like long forgotten memories or memories she never knew were there.

"There are two things I ave to find," Lakayna said in response to Kairi's question, "They are each a half of one whole object."
Lakayna concentrated harder, trying to make the memory; or whatever it was; become clearer.
"One half is high on the mountai's peak, buried beneath ice and snow. And the other half is...in the Imperial City."

"Hmm okay," Kairi, who was still trying stay warm by clinging to Naminé, replied when Lakayna answered her question, "And when we find these two halves and make the object whole again, it will help you regain your human form?" The crimsonette shivered then looked around and said, "Well we better start looking then. We're already here in the mountains so maybe we should look for the half that's high on the mountain's peak first? Or should we split up? Some of us go look for the half that's on the mountain, and the rest of us go look for the half that's in the Imperial City. That's one idea. What do you guys think we should do?" Kairi asked the group again.

Riku stepped out of the Darkness and into the bright snow of the mountain. He covered his eyes. Geez. Had it been so bright before? No, he wore a blindfold during that time and had the form of Xehanort. He lowered his arm finally and looked around. It had been a while. Sora was beside him . The silvernette chuckled lightly at a few of the memories that came back to him. Riku listened to Kairi's idea. "It certainly would be faster that way."

Lakayna sighed softly.
"It would be faster, that's true enough," she said in response to the idea, "But you wouldn't know where to look. The city is very large, and it could be hidden anywhere within it. I'm not even sure what either half of the statues looks like..."

"Lakayna, no offense, but I'm not sure you're going to be much help," the silvernette stated. He turned and looked at the dragon as he crossed his arms. True, she was a rather large beast at the moment and could probably kill him with a single heave of her claw, but Riku wasn't afriad to say this to her. "You're a dragon for the time being. If someone were to see you then it could be trouble. I think it would be best for you to stay up here or in the sky. Sorry."

Hikari sighed as they discussed just how they were supposed to get the object they were going to obtain. "Look, don't you know anyone around here who might know what the object is? Mulan, Shang, or someone?" she asked in a flat tone.

Axel thought for a moment. "Hey, Lakayna. What about that Mushu guy you told me about earlier?"

Naminé
Miss Memory Witch

Naminé smiled warmly at Kairi and then nodded towards the Princess. Together, the two walked into the mass of swirling darkness and soon the islands were left behind. The petite blonde was confident as she walked alongside Kairi in the darkness -- the Nobody was use to traveling this way. However... she wasn't use to how freezing cold it was in the Land of the Dragons.

The moment the Princess and the Nobody stepped out of the portal, a cold like Naminé had never experienced before gripped her, causing the air to woosh from her lungs. The girl's brilliant blue eyes widened and she began to shiver violently. She was still wearing her school uniform - long sleeved white top with the short plaid skirt and thankfully, instead of her sandals, she was wearing sleek boots. Kairi suddenly grasped onto the blonde and held her tight, and Naminé stood still, allowing Kairi to hug her because this way, both of them were a little bit more warm. Shivering uncontrolably, Naminé watched and listened as the others filed out and began speaking about what to do. When the point of splitting up arose, Naminé frowned.

When the others were finished speaking, the petite blonde opened her mouth. She had controlled the shivers better so her words came out pretty clear. "Mushu?" She repeated, the name ringing a bell. One of Sora's memories came pouring into her, and she recalled the little red dragon whom was Mulan's guardian. "Axel, that's it! Mushu is sure to know, and if he doesn't, the Guardians will. But... where to find Mushu?" the petite blonde wondered aloud, her body giving a violent shiver as soon as she was done.

Lakayna looked first to Riku and nodded in understanding.
"You're right. I don't know how kindly either the encampment at the foot of the mountains or the city would take to seeing me."
Her eyes turned breifly towards the Imperial City; which could been clearly seen from where they stood in the mountains far above it. The female dragon's eyes then turned back towards Hikari, Axel and the others.
"I'm sure there is someone who'll know. Mushu might know. He's probably with Mulan now, acting as her gaurdian. Where they are I don't know," Lakayna said, trying to respond to all the questions at once.

(hey riku's twin, when do you plan on having Mushu come in?)

Kairi

User Image

"Yeah that thought came to mind right after I suggested splitting up," Kairi replied in agreement when Lakayna said they wouldn't know where to look. The crimsonette then looked toward Riku and said, "I think you're partially right about that Riku. True if someone were to see Lakyana it could be trouble, so she can't really help us in the city. But Lakayna said one of the halves was on the mountain's peak buried beneath ice and snow, and I'm pretty sure that we're going to need Lakayna's help in order to get through all that ice and snow. Axel's too."

As the Princess listened to everyone discuss what they should do, she was glad to find that it seemed like Naminé didn't mind her clinging to her. Both girls were shivering violently so Kairi could see why she wouldn't mind. The red head tried not to think about how nice stockings for her bare legs or a jacket for her bare arms would be at the moment. Focusing back on the discussion the crimsonette heard Hikari ask if there was anyone who might know what the object is, and a second later Axel suggested Mushu. Naminé recognized the name and seemed sure that Mushu would know where to find it. Kairi was sure too because from what Sora had told her about his adventures, Mushu was a little guardian dragon for the Fa family, more specially Fa Mulan. So surely another dragon would be able to help Lakayna. At least that's what Kairi thought. When Naminé asked where could they find Mushu Kairi turned to Sora and said, "You're friends with Mushu right Sora? You've battled along side him and are probably the last one of us to have seen him. Do you have any idea where he might be?"

Sora thought for a minute. "Mushu lives near the Imperial City I think. I haven't seen him since we fought that Heartless at the Emperor's palace though. Still, I would imagine that Mulan would be at the training camp at the base of the mountains. Where ever Mulan is, Mushu wouldn't be too far behind. How about you come with me, Kairi?" he asked.

Hikari nodded. "Mushu. That's the little dragon whose heart I couldn't take. He turned into a spirit stone," she mused. "I think there's an old cave where we can stay at until you bring back Mushu, Sora. We'll stay there so no one freezes to death."

"Good. I can't take this snow much longer," Axel complained, his arms folded tightly around his chest. This was Vexen's perfect environment, not his.

(I found a picture that i want the statue to look like when put back together.Click here if you would like to view it. Just imagine that the dragon itself is separated from the sword; without three it's claws, which are still attached around the blade and hilt.)

Lakayna laughed a little at Axel's complaining.
"You guys go ahead down if you like. I'm going to go up there to try and find the half that's buried. And don't worry about me. The cold takes a very, very long time to start bothering me," she said, and looked to the high peak, "I'll find you if I need to."
She really did want to meet Mushu in person. But for now, it would be better for her to search for the statue half instead of getting in the way while the others tried to locate Mushu. She flapped her wings, stirring up some of the lighter powdered snow, and took off towards the peak.

Riku nodded to the girl before she flew off. "Let's go then," he stated. He was kinda taking over a little. He marched down the snow and looked back over his shoulder to see if they were following.

Kairi

"Okay Sora, I'd love to come with you," Kairi answered Sora when he told her where he thought they could find Mushu and asked her if she'd like to come with him to go get the little dragon. The Princess was happy to go for two reasons. One she'd get to be with Sora which absolutely thrilled Kairi, and two she'd get to get off of that freezing cold mountain for a while. Her whole body was growing numb from the cold so she couldn't wait to get moving. She gave Naminé a hug then let go of her, feeling even colder now. She quickly crossed her arms over her chest to try and stay warm as she walked over to Sora. She stood by him shivering, ready to go whenever he was.

Hikari said she knew of an old cave where the others could stay until they came back so the crimsonette was glad that her friends could finally get warm at last too. Lakayna told them she was going to try and find the half that was buried in the mountains, and that she'd find them if she needed to. She flapped her wings creating a light breeze, and stirring up some of the lighter powdered snow. Kairi turned her back as to not get a face full of snow. After a few moments she turned around and saw Lakayna flying up towards the peak. Kairi then turned towards the brunette and smiled saying "Lead the way, Captain Sora," using the little nickname she had given him when he was named captain of the little raft that she, Sora, and Riku had made to leave Destiny Islands. She would follow Sora to find Mushu while the others went to the cave.
