Luther leapt from the shadows, rolling when he landed. He breathed heavily, and started to down another blood vial. He hated doing that, but he hated to get away from the stupid Hunter and the ignorant Spaniard, he sat and waited for Cosette, she should be along shortly, if he remembered the time for a new blood Vampire to teleport. He looked around, clearly uninterested, he needed to get back to his room, he had...experiments to do.

Cosette appeared in the main room coughing. Her last words, cut off in mid sentence, scorning that Spanish 'noble' for his childish actions; Had been abruptly cut off and strangled the instant the shadows had stolen her. She was still coughing, Stumbling towards Luther from where she had simply materialized amongst the shadows. At first, She said nothing; concentrated on breathing properly; But when she was finally composed, Cosette slithered up next to him and stood on high tip toes and reached one slender white hand to snatch his fancy hat off his messy red head. With a pouty frown, Cosette stuck a little finger through the corner of his hat, Demonstrating where Armand's petty gunshot had struck, tearing straight through the fabric.
“Do you want a new one? I could get you one, A real fancy antique too.” She wiggled her finger out of the hole, Holding out the damage hat for him to take if he still wanted it. She was clearly more upset over the tragic hole than he might be, desperately trying to pull up memories of where she might find one just like it.

Luther was on his feet as soon as Cosette started coughing, merely grinning at the end of the insults she was hurling at the Spaniard. He patted her on the back, grasping the hat gently; he pulled it into his grasp lightly. He grinned, and said "Ah Cosette, you believe a gunshot is the end of this hat? I have been burned alive whilst wearing this thing" He placed it on his seat, and waved his hands slightly in the air. A chunk of his shadow drifted towards the hat, patching up the hole with ease. "That Neanderthal felt that damaging my hat was a witty retort? I don't doubt he made an oh-so-snappy remark when I disappeared."
"Are you okay? It can be tiring going through the shadows, and can sometimes wind a person, as going to get anyone it should be that pompous arse in the park." He withdrew a blood packet and offered it her, withdrawing a small straw he had found on one of his victims along with it. "I find it disturbing that that brute knew you though, he pretended to know everything about you, but you at a Masquerade sounded slightly odd, you don't seem the sort to hide their face." He smiled vaguely, and removed his Talon thumb rings; they had done their job for tonight. He withdrew a chocolate bar, finest Belgium chocolate, he had managed to wrangle it from a chocolate store over in the classier district.

Cosette was happy for him, but happier for the hat that it recovered so very well from the tragic gunshot. Her own pristine and painfully perfect appearance was evidence enough that she was simply not the sort that would be caught dead with a blemish or tare upon any article of clothing. “I'm alright. That was something different, Fun actually. So much quicker than running.” She flashed an appreciative smile before turning her focus to herself and began patting down and smoothing out her blouse. She glanced about the spacious room, vaguely looking for a mirror so she could fix her hair when the sight of blood snatched the focus away from her already flawless curls. She visibly grimaced at the sight, clearly disgusted by the thought of drinking blood from a packet. Cosette would have to be massively bleeding to death, squirming upon the floor to drink that. And even then, She would probably demand it from something actually living. She was however, polite enough not to voice her opinions and instead completed ignored his offer.
“Oh, He didn't know me. You see; He was the sort of coward that wants me. Wanted me enough that he would memorize this face and maybe my oh so lovely personality, but without the courage to actually act on impulse...He's left on the sidelines forming all sorts of judgments and theories on who I am. And most, I assure you, are terribly wrong.” Cosette paused for a moment, Her thoughts turning inward. Recalling something lost in her collage of memories. “The odd thing was, The last time I even went to a masquerade was a long time ago, before...this. Why would he have been so interested in a human and not have the courage to take what he wanted? Confidence issues, possibly?” She mocked, a playful grin gracing her lips.

Erika walks into the coven and immediately notices all the vampires. She's never seen so many vampires in her life before. She stood there with her mouth gaping open for a few moments before she noticed that other vampires were noticing her. She straighten and walked forward. The other vampires turned back to what they were doing. She sat down at a table wondering what to do now.

Luther downed the blood packet unashamedly, "When you use as much power as I, a quick snack is always in order." He sighed, shaking his head, "This top hat has been through every damage you could throw at it, but it's fallen to the victim of time and fashion." He placed it back onto his head, sighing dramatically.
"So, how did you end up with the curse? Relatives? Blood? Money?" He shook his head, his smile telling of hidden secrets and forbidden sins. "I have heard them all" He smiled ironically, he knew that his own back story wasn't the most cfommon, but he took that with good grace.

“Power is all very lovely, But not if you have to go drink those.” She grimaced again, Nearly becoming nauseous at the sigh of him downing the blood from a bag. It wasn't very classy. “You should keep a storage of ..'fresh blood'. Lock them all up. Ready supply. That would solve that issue, hm? “She flashed another one of those charming smiles, deadly serious about her suggestion. Though, When he prompted with questions of her past, The smile faded into the doll like face. “Oh, None of the above.” Cosette heaved an dramatic sigh, collapsing back upon a lavish crimson sofa that was planted so perfectly under a wide window probably just there for her convenience. “It was talent actually. I was practically a prodigy.” Cosette made a point on leaving out the details, sure to not elaborate on just what those 'talents' were considering the social status and wealth she was apparently gifted with as a human. “After all the trouble I went through to live my dreams, a demented vampire decided to shatter it all so I would be his little bird.” A hint of disdain had entered her fluttering tone, blemishing her innocent image. She still harbored plenty of ill will towards the vampire that had done it to her even if now, He was very much dead. Despite the advantages of never growing old or keep thing the money in the 'family', Cosette clearly would have had things another way, would have given herself a chance to live among the stage. “He wasn't very nice to me, You see. Locked me up in a room, kept me so terribly weak and delirious so that I didn't even realize what happened. Caged like some poor pretty bird, but I figured out what he did. And after refusing the 'wine' he gave me, I started to get real hungry...And then one night...” Suddenly, Swifter than could be seen to the human eye, Cosette loudly clapped those little white hands together; demonstrating just what she did with her sire's delicious throat. Oh, He had got what he deserved, Even as weak and confused as she had been; Her dreadful murderous impulses had not begun with a vampire.

Luther nodded, smiling hollowly, he knew it was a disgusting and Common practise, but he was in the habit of picking fights with things two feet taller than him. He saw that she loathed to talk about her clearly horrific past, and said "My curse was more of a gift from the Void, I awoke one night to see massive Shadow-like tendrils choking off my oxygen supply, I died that night, and then was reborn." He paused slightly, should he tell her the charming little backstory of his Crimson fangs? He decided not to, he would't like to repulse Cosette anymore, after the Blood Packet business. "Before that b*****d Void gave me this curse I had the biggest Freak Show in the whole of Albion" He clearly and deliberately used the old fashioned name for the region of England, he hated change.
He knew that details about him bored her, so he gently steered the conversation towards her again, she clearly liked attention; he was never one to disappoint. "So, Milady, what do you usually drink? In the way of Alcohol or Juice I mean, most Vampires aren't fussy over Blood Types." He wandered into the Kitche, and withdrew a Champagne; 1879, Vampires were very particular people. He wandered back into the main hall, and sat down on one of the exquisite leather chairs. He clicked his fingers and a pair of Wine Flutes, even though they were obviously made of shadows they looked quite fine crystal. He offered her one, "You may have the appearance of a younger girl, but I can hazard a guess you are over the legal age" He chuckled slightly, he always got slightly informal in the Vampire hideout, it was like his own room; this place was his, even if it belonged to everyone else as well.
He heard his cellphone ring and picked it up, cursing, it was his alarm, he needed another victim if his plans were to come to fruition. He bowed stiffly to Cosette, smiling wryly "Duty calls." He ran into the shadows, it was time for the feed.

Veroen walked into the main coven room with a stride fit for a prince. He looked around quietly, without moving the direction of his stare, silently as a ghost, sat in a couch across from two female vampires. He observed them, unnoticed, watching one extend her hand to the other, as if to offer a handshake as he lit a Cuban cigar, using Zippo with the phrase, "Audaces fortuna iuvat" engraved into its silver exterior. "Fortune favors the bold" he thought to himself, reading the latin phrase on his silver Zippo while still keenly observing the pair of female vampires. He was completely quiet, and only the click of him lighting his Cuban Cigar, then the louder click of him whipping it shut, gave away his presence to the two girls.

Veroen stopped. 'Something is not right....' he thought to himself. Without a word, or anything in that matter, he disappeared into the shadows instantly, leaving the scene. ((exit: Central Park))

Luther walked back into the room, dusting off his coat, the confrontation between Kyrre and the Spaniard hadn't gone anywhere, so he had collected his Victim, did his research, and came back here; mostly hoping Cosette hadn't been distracted by something shiny. He grinned to see her still on the couch, he sat down, and said "Sorry about that, but my research cannot wait for no lady; no matter how noble."
He didn't go any further, he knew subjects relating to him seemed to bore her immensely, he instead turned the conversation towards her, "So, what is your little Class in this lousy Cabal, perhaps a Sanguinarian? Psychic? Someone as elegant as you could suit all but Voidmaster, which is for more... monstrous Vampires." He smiled, his crimson fangs showing particularly; a reminder of the atrocities he had committed in his time.

“I don't see how that could be a gift. It doesn't sound very fun. At least I was drugged up and delirious when he did it to me.” Cosette was fussing with her hair again, swiftly growing bored with his history, strumming her fingers through the curls, almost paying more attention to the golden locks than to the vampire across from her. The talk of a freak show did manage to snatch her attention though. “Freak shows...My parents used to take me to those when I was young. All those odd people. You don't really seem like the sort though.” She accepted the fancy glass formed from the shadow with a little smile, Much more interested in wondering how he did that rather than the liquid it contained, peering at it from all sides as she held it between dainty fingers. Cosette just gave theatrical roll of her brilliant blue eyes when she heard his little phone ring, modern necessities that she just couldn't manage to grasp her century old mind around. And then Luther was leaving with scarcely a few words, setting a disappointing frown on her lips.
She wasn't the forgiving type. People can't just expect to leave Cosette without any means of entertainment. It was rude, And Luther, No matter the business he had elsewhere; It simply wasn't possible that it was more important than her. Oh course, She as still there when he returned. Where else would she have gone? She hadn't yet established herself a 'home' within the city and except for her new friend Luther, She was positively alone. Cosette was still, nestled up the couch with her slender legs pulled up her her chest, Glancing about the spacious room from one gleaming object to another. She intentionally ignored his return at first, her eye focused on a window; pretending simply not to notice him until he had spoken. It was seemed the proper punishment for ditching poor Cosette. “Sanguinarian, Mostly. That's what I would fall under, anyways. My sire was gifted in the psychic, But after all the drugs and mixing of blood when he was trying to contain me, It damaged part of me. I'm a weak thing, not at all very strong. I can hear minds, among other things on occasion. Occasions when I'm not in the..right of mind myself.” And then, a playful smile touched her lips just as mischievous thought crossed her twisted little mind. The small blond was sitting before him one instant and then in the fraction of a second, Cosette was behind him leaning over the chair. “I am however, quite the swift little thing. One talent left untouched when death caught me. Fun little talent, Don't you agree?” She was laughing, whimsical giggling from behind him. Her white hands slithered around from behind, resting upon the armrests of his chair. Cosette took a deep breath then, inhaling his scent much like a predator measuring up the pray. Luther smelled like blood. He'd killed when he had vanished earlier. Cosette instantly wondered if he had used the same fancy trick as he had when she first saw him.
