Zaine smiled widely, struck with a sudden idea "Sejiro, how bout a spar between you and me neh? How's that sound?" he asked

"Between you and me?" Sejiro asked. "This will be my first actual fight, but sure. Let us spar Zaine." Sejiro's expression turned from a smile into a calm but stern expression. His kind eyes were now attentive and focused towards Zaine. Sejiro inhaled, closing his eyes and then opened them. He droped his hand onto the hilt of his sword still standing tall and began to unsheath his sword slowly still looking intensely at Zaine. When the tip of the blade came out of the scabbard Sejiro swiped it to his right side and then placed his left hand at the bottom of the sword handle. He moved his right foot infront of his body, moving his sword to his left side and then crouched into a ready position.

Zaine smiled and with a nod assumed an unfamiliar defensive stance, still not showing his Zanpakuto nor where it could be hidden on his form. "Show me what you can do Seijiro!"

Sejiro inhaled deeply again and charged towards his opponent. When Sejiro was 10 feet away from Zaine he jumped into the air. Sejiro began to come down and sliced his blade from above his head down towards Zaine's head with all intent to defeat his opponent.

Zaine sidestepped the strike with ease, "You should not put so much power into a downward blow, it makes it hard to recover quickly!" he exclaimed as he loosed a swift, powerful kick to his opponents left side.

The kick shot Sejiro to Zaine's right hand side and aways from his opponent. Tumbling two times after he hit the ground, Sejiro laid on the ground motionless for a few seconds. Opening his eyes Sejiro came to his senses and began to lift himself off the ground using his zanpakuto to balance himslef. Sejiro realized that was the first time he had been struck in combat. It hurt but strangly it made him feel more aware and alive. Sejiro brought his sword to his right side in a ready position and began to move carefully towards Zaine. Sejiro began to cricle his opponent waiting for the percise time to strike.

Zaine grinned, "Good your actually awake now!" he exclaimed as he leapt into the air and began to spin, "Toobei Reikon!" he chanted, sending a barrage of needles composed of reiatsu down to rain on Sejiro's head, these needles are not meant to cause massive damage on their own, but their power instead came in their numbers and the near shunpo speed at which they traveled at.

Sejiro immediately reacted and used Bakudo #8: Seki to deflect the needles. Despite this tactic Sejiro lacked the training necessary to deflect all the needles and two needles punctured his left arm. His adrenaline was flowing because of the danger and the wound now on his left arm. A crazed look crept over Sejiro's face. "I have never felt so alive in my entire life Zaine!" Sejiro yelled, "Please don't let this stop!" That very second Sejiro raised his right arm and pointed his index finger at Zaine, he still had his zanapkuto in his hand. "Hado #4: Byakurai!" Sejiro yelled.

"Myakuhaku, Hanshou." Zaine uttered with a smile, a large field of reiatsu appearing in front of him and deflecting the Hado into the ground below, Zaine landed a few moments later and, without pause, dashed at Sejiro, twisting his form quickly and launching a kick at the young shinigami's left side.

Sejiro, a little stunned by Zaine's agility, shook his head and focused his attention on the present moment. Sejiro raised his left arm, that still had the two needles in it, to block Zaine's kick in hopes that his leg would hit the needles thus injuring him.

Kazuki entered the training area not knowing what to expect, upon entering he saw lots of other shinigami sparring with each other. So Kazuki decided that he will watch the fight, so that he can study some of the shinigami.
"Its good to know what abilities some of them have"
He muttered. So he found a stool and sat there watching the bouts that were taking place.

Zaine smiled as the needles evaporated into a shimmering cloud of gold and crimson, "Nice try but no such luck." he said as his kick connected with Sejiro's arm. "Shoulda dodged when ya could."
