"Of course. Not everyone has figured out all of their powers yet." Jean stated. "Or control over all of them..." she added, hinting that she knew he had a slight temper problem.

"Kind of like I'm trying to learn the lightning thing with shadows..." Regina said softly. She was almost afraid of that talent, and really wanted to get control of it.

"You can learn to control something that is part of you now." Jean said, hoping it was clear enough. "If there's something that you're having difficulties with, our school helps you to get that under control to live a more normal life and be stronger in your own natural abilities."

"That's one reason I came here... I just don't feel I've met my full potential yet." Regina looked to Reese, squeezing his hand gently. "So if I'm not around, you'll have control..."

Or if my mind is busy. she thought with a little grin.

OOC: Okay, I'm ready to RP whether I actually have time or not. If I don't, well, maybe I can just stop sleeping.

IC: TNL had woken up with the worse upset stomach ever... given that's what he said about every upset stomach he ever got, but this one seemed oddly bad. A nice relaxing break in the restroom (for about an hour) had dampened the pain, but the idea of going on this camping trip had been something he'd been struggling with. "There aren't many pleasent bathrooms in the wilderness," he had mumbled to himself as he packed his duffle for the wilderness. Despite everything, he had come, presuming there was a good chance of the stomach ache going away. Shoot, he had taken some medicine, so it should go away, right?

The van wasn't comfortable, but TNL had always been able to get comfortable enough in uncomfortable conditions. He could sleep anywhere, and so he had... been sleeping that is. Now it was time to wake up, for TNL couldn't sleep any further, though he didn't want to. "What time is it?" he mumbled, not that anybody could hear him. "So. . . What are your powers?" TNL heard somebody ask, and shifted his head to see some unfamiliar person sitting nearby. I've been sleeping next to a stanger in a big van for how long? TNL mentally shrugged, and greeted, "Good morning mes amis," and promptly yawned.

Jamie saw someone stirring next to him. "Oh, hi. I'm Jamie." He said, then turned back to Regina.
"Move through shadows? So, are you weaker during the day?" He asked, seeing as his power could be very useful if she needed shadow.

Regina shook her head. "If there's a shadow nearby I can move through it. Your shadow, a tree's shadow, just about any of them. If there aren't any though, then I don't have any ability..."

"Well, I look at it this way: Take a disagreement, for example. You don't have any problem if there's no one to contest your beliefs. What is the meaning of the sun, the starting of a new day, if there wasn't night to break it up? It would be devoid of meaning because it wouldn't have anything to interrupt it's existance. Like, if there was nothing but good - true good - in the world, would it really be that important?" After his speach, Reeese looked a bit self-concious. "Sorry...when you're chained to walls all day for a few years, you've got a bit of time to think about stuff."
