Justin never had a thing for smiling, except when he was embarrassed, but watching the antics of the two digimon who acted as his guardians brought a smile to his face.Though he didn't keep it up for too long he still smiled on the inside.
Justin turns around again, and starts his way back up the path. The dark and light digimon were catching up now; so he saw no reason to wait any longer. Before they are in immediate earshot Justin muses over the choice he was supposed to make. "Great hero, or dark lord..." Ghoulmon had impressed upon him intently the power his brother had at his command, and he was positive that Justin held potential to be just as strong. If not stronger, but while he thought of going back to the glory days of conquering and destroying, Kudamon- who seemed to have his own plans was thinking of him dawning shining armor, and becoming a true savior of the digital world. Kudamon had only known Alex briefly, but expressed his opinion that his twin had been too dark to ever be the hero his power could have made him.
Justin suspects that both digimon are attempting to live out their own dreams through him by manipulation. The scary part to him was that they both were pretty powerful on their own- especially Kudamon who has never needed to digivolve though he obviously could. For digimon with their apparent power to be putting so much stock into his future; the possibilities must really be something. Not for the first time Justin wonders what they could see in him that he couldn't.
Ghoulmon leers at Justin from behind, as he floats above the boy. No one else had noticed Jax's leftover viral energy run from the digivice and into Justin when he first touched it. The energy lies dormant inside him now, but if he could motivate the boy to harness it he could mold the boy into a powerful daimao, but that persistent little fox keeps interfering and filling the boys head with nonsense about heroism and virus busting. It infuriated the demon lord digimon that something so small could really be barring him from complete conquest. His glare fixes on Kudamon wishing his hatred could blast the holy beast like his eye could.
Kudamon could sense rather than feel the heated glare being inflicted upon him. He decides to not let it bother him. It was clear that his "meddling" as Ghoulmon puts it has succesfully derailing the demons plans. What worried him though was Justin's stubborn neutrality. Truthfully, the boy never refused one or the other, but never chose one either. It truly was irritating, but Justin was worth it. He never really admitted it to Justin, but his brother in truth was a hero, and a great one at that. Finding out what a twin was, and what that might mean almost made him giddy with expectation. The idea of Justin reaching his brothers status was almost like an epic from a poem, and it was an epic he intended to write. Ghoulmon's struggles would make it all the more exciting, but the result would be the same. A true hero, and himself to be the herald of it all. He daydreams for a while and chuckles at how ahead of himself he was getting.
Justin with his hands clasped behind his head turns his head in question. "What? What's the laughter for? Did I miss something?" Justin turns his head ruefully around in every direction to make sure he didn't miss some secret passage that would lead to the AntTxt.
Kudamon wears his smile like a mask, and waves away the question. "No no, it was nothing. Just a funny occurrence I remembered."
Justin frowns a bit then turns his head forward again and focuses on the path ahead of him. They seemed to be about to reach the crest of this particular peak. It hadn't been an especially tall one, but once they reached the top Justin spots a smudge of color below them on the path. He points at it and beckons Ghoulmon forward to put the digimon's ocular abilities to use. "Can you tell what that thing down there is Ghoulmon?"
The demon lord digimon, interrupted from his own thoughts stares ahead to try and pick out what Justin was indicating. "What? Where?" But sure enough he spots it, and starts focusing on what appears to be a person.

Ghoulmon's great oculus quickly defines the figure as a human. His curiosity is piqued, and wastes no time in telling Justin. "It seems there is a human boy down there...with a digiegg."
Justin rubs his pathetic excuse for a beard that consisted of a couple hairs in curiosity. he strains his eyes to make out the distant figure below them. He watches the figure start to move their direction, and then the unmistakably human voice reaches them from below. "Anyone you guys know?"
Kudamon shakes his head. "Alex described many of his acquaintances to me in detail... Maybe its the one he called Kazu?"
Ghoulmon quickly interjects. "I actually was at his side during his ventures. No, I do not believe Alex knew that boy."
Kudamon bristles in agitation. His white teeth gleams as he grits them.
Sensing the tension in the air about to stir around the rival digimon Justin interrupts the fight that was sure to come. "Well, I'm going to go meet him."
Justin turns his attention to the other boy and makes his way down the path shouting his reply. "Yes! My name's Justin. What's yours?!"
Ghoulmon and Kudamon abandon their fight and hurriedly follows.
The three of them make their way down the path until they are right in front of the other human. Ghoulmon lands behind Justin to his right, and Kudamon remains floating on his left.
Kudamon, ever social extends a greeting. "Salutations.I'm surprised to see someone else on the mountain besides us."
Ghoulmon, glowering with his one big eye wonders if the other human might also be in search of their treasure. He flexes a claw behind Justin's back in case they needed to be rid of him.

Justin raises an eyebrow quizzically. "Gigimon?...Oh, Gigimon's the egg!" He conks himself on the head, berating himself for not catching the obvious quickly enough and then offers Rei an embarrassed smile. "Uh, so you have a friend coming to meet you out here? What for?"
Under the pretense of asking innocent questions Justin is actually seriously interested in hearing the answer. Not knowing Rei's intentions could end up deadly, and if their shared intentions might somehow collide it would become deadly anyway.
Ghoulmon could very well sense the thoughts in Justin's head based on subtleties in the boy's movements. Seeing Justin's budding and conniving mind at work almost makes him feel proud.
Justin honestly does not wish to fight the first human he's met in months, and wonders if Ghoulmon would be angry if he does not attack Rei. He then realizes that he is getting ahead of himself. Rei most likely has no idea wht the AntTxt is. There will be no conflicting of interests.

Justin is about to introduce his digimon, but is too slow as Kudamon takes over. he floats a bit forward and dips his head in a slight bow. "I am Kudamon. Though I am not much, thank you for the compliment."
Ghoulmon recognizes that Rei is no threat. Especially since his digimon is encased in an egg. Possibilities of finding use of the boy as a minion run through his head, but sadly, a boy without a capable digimon readily at his side would be of no use to him...or Justin for that matter. Finally, in an almost disappointed baritone he introduces himself. "I am Ghoulmon." Then, disinterested, he turns away and occupies himself with studying the mountain. Kudamon and Justin both frown at his less than heartfelt tone.
Justin hastily apologizes for Ghoulmon's behavior. "Sorry about him. He's not usually like this."
The lie was obvious, but Kudamon resists the urge to shake his head in disapproval. His attention is drawn to a muffled boom about a kilometer away on the next rise.
Ghoulmon notices Kudamon's ears perk up, and suddenly becomes interested again.
Kudamon is about to volunteer to check it out, but Ghoulmon wordlessly beats him to the punch and lifts off the ground, and fly towards the spot.
The noise had startled Justin as well, but when he tries to see the cause of the noise Ghoulmonflies into his line of sight. "Hey, where are you going?!"
Ghoulmon slows for a bit and turns his head to regard the group still there. "I'm going to see what happened. It could be a clue to what we're looking for." He turns his attention back forward and coasts away.
Justin turns back to Rei. "Sorry again about him. We're here on a treasure hunt. He's pretty serious about it."

The crimson digimon's antics cause Justin to laugh. "Looks like he missed you. Hi Gigimon. I'm Justin." He then points at the pipe fox digimon floating next to him. "And this is Kudamon."
Kudamon dips his head, as he greets the newly hatched digimon. "It is nice to meet you."
Justin glances back to where Ghoulmon flew off to, and briefly wonders if he will be okay before turning back to Rei and Gigimon.

Ghoulmon sets down on the peak where the sound had issued from. he scans the valley below him, but is unable to distinguish the origins of the sound. It had been too loud to be a natural occurrence, and then he sees it. A displaced boulder was his first clue. The boulder's shift seems to have been caused by dust cloud moving down the mountain. He focuses with all three of his eyes to get a closer look at the dust cloud. he observes shapes. Many shapes moving within the cloud; moving at alarming speed toward the path Justin and the other human boy were on. He should go and warn them, but stops himself. In his experience he had come to realize that humans cause problems, and one less would be a blessing. Justin would survive. The boy was trained well enough. The other however, the Jagamon could take.
Ghoulmon flies toward a neighboring peak to watch the show. this might also be great time to rid himself of that accursed fox. "Mwahahahahaha!"

Jai fell flat on his face onto the rock, and got up, wiping away the nosebleed the crash gave him.
"Hey, how did we get here first?"
Lucemon climbed up and then helped Veemon.
"Temperal-portal-thingy-mech-stuff."
"Oh ok then."
Jai and the crew stood back and waited, and the sound of wind rushed through their ears. Lucemon stood 'faffing' with his hair, as Veemon sat playing with a rock.
"C'mon guys,fall through the portal already, we must find Rei."
Vemon looked up at Jai.
"Isn't 'Rei' a girls name?"
"Well, I guess your right, but Rei is far from girly."

Toru felt the digital code swarm and wrap around his body as he pushed himself between the worlds. Normally Toru would take this fragment of time in order to collect his wits and think about out worldy things but this was not the time to think. No thoughts would help the pain he feels in his chest. Toru felt like drifting away in the mass of digital code and to never be found again. But there was a job that was needed of him to complete. Toru formed that same serious look he gave earlier as he sped up his travels. Bringing his hands up to his face Toru shielded his eyes as a light formed in front of him. It was the exit to File Mountains. Flipping his body around to where he would exit through the light feet first was the best option. He left the swirling mass of code. As he left he drifted softly to the bottom and touched down on land. This gave him time to survey the area. Closing his eyes he activated his passive digi-soul. The code of the area swirled and changed as it occupied itself in the forms of mountains. Nothing seemed to be disruptive of the code at all. Toru opened his eyes and looked for the group. They were heading off and Toru needed to follow. Picking up pace Toru ran down and met up with Kazu as he made his walk. Toru, once he was walking right next to Kazu, looked up and saw his face. It read pain and exhaustion all over it. Toru stared into his eyes for a little while feeling the same pain that Kazu did but completely different from each other. Sometimes times like these needs to have some sort of warmth to it. So not for long Toru put on a smile and smiled whole heartedly and innocently at Kazu as they both walked up to meet Jai.

Jai nodded in response.
"Well, He is kinda nice, although..."
Jai fell off into a whisper.
"I think he has anger issues."
He took the lead and trotted off towards the higher, yet steeper parts of the area.
"Umm, I know where Rei is, I think."
Jai cupped his hands around his mouth ad called out to Rei.
"C'mon Rei, I've come to pick you up, I also have loads to tell you!"

Jai looked back to Kazu, and let out a small smile and turned back.
"Rei, come on bud, we need ya, you and Gallantmon would be a great asset to the team! I also have a new bud! Why don't you meet him? He may looked tatty, but he is awesome!"
Jai stopped there as his voice echoed into the distance.
