"Have a good trip," Daeron grinned at Elnara and Lore, waving. He spotted Lin then, and his grin broadened. "Morning, Lin. Good to see you're up early. Looking for someone in particular?"

He chuckled.

"Bye bye," Lin told Elnara and Lore as she waved back before turning to Daeron.

She grinned, scampering up to Daeron with glee as she held out her arms to be picked up doll and all.

"I'm looking for Haradhel," she announced.

Daeron looked thoughtful as he picked Lin up and set her on the table.

"She'll be training already," he commented, "and she won't be down here for ... well, I don't know how long. Another week, in all possibility. She lives up there, like my Uncle Eldrin, who I understand you've met. Although I know she had fun with Storm and Starr yesterday, she might be back down later."

"I hope so!" Lin grinned, "I wanted to ask her something!"

THough she didn't know that fighters actually lived up there, though it was good to know that Eldrin wouldn't be too lonely up there.

Daeron raised one eyebrow. "Oh?" he said in a questioning tone. "What do you want to ask her?"

He would have thought she would ask Earendil first, whatever it was.

"Oh well...." Lin figeted on the table.

She wasn't sure if she should tell Daeron, but he did ask... and it wasn't like she could say nothing since it was something.

"I... wantedtoaskherifshecouldtakemeupthemountain," she blurted out.


(( For simpiler edification. I wanted to ask her if she could take me up the mountain.))

Daeron laughed heartily at that.

"Aye, it would be better to ask Haradhel than Earendil about that one," he agreed with a chuckle. "Earendil wouldn't take you. He's too serious about training and the like, he won't let you up there until you can climb the mountain yourself. But Haradhel is another matter. She rather enjoys things she hasn't seen before ... and I think she enjoys teasing Uncle Elrohir as well."

He paused and looked down at Lin, his eyes filled with amusement.

"On the other hand," he said softly, "Earendil is right ... you should not be up there."

He grinned. "I'll tell you what. If Haradhel comes down from the mountain, and I happen to see her, I'll tell her that you're looking for her. But I won't go get her for you, I could get into trouble for that. How does that sound?"

Lin's eyes lit up, "Yay! Thank you Daeron!"

She smiled widely back at him, at least it would make her search a bit easier now. Even though she was pretty sure once Earendil came down they were going to do what they normally did.

"What do you do when you're here?" Lin asked.
