"Angry? I'm not angry. I'm confused. Very, very confused." He replied irritably, scowling lightly at the raven for scolding him. Handled or not, he had wanted an explanation of why this had happened. And, thereafter, he got his answers.
A week ago, Yuki probably would have brushed the story off as a simple fairytale and call it a day. However, as the days since they'd left home had gone by everything just continued to get stranger and stranger. Therefore, he held his tongue on any protest of the truth of his story, and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Aside from many things suggesting that Atticus wasn't lying to them. Those wings is his were black as a raven's were, Riyo herself was a black cat, and most definitely had a demon and a child battling it out for control of her body and consciousness. To those, there was no doubt. As for curses and reincarnation, he wasn't sure, but he didn't know enough about either subject to think them fraudulent.
With Atticus' explanations finished, Yuki sighed softly and looked to the girl. Which side had won? Just as importantly, would she still see them as her comrades? If it came down to actually hurting her... Yuki didn't think he could do it.
"Is she going to be okay?" Came Hitsu's voice from alongside Yuki, she sounded concerned.
Yuki jerked his attention toward her; "You were supposed to stay in-" He paused. "What is that?" He asked, pointing to the cloak.
She blinked, and suddenly realized she'd forgotten to return the dragon's cloak. "O-oh... Uh..." Her face went scarlet. Hitsu wasn't a very good liar, "I-I found it."
He'd already tried to take it from her, and before she could back away he'd grasped it long enough to feel the intense warmth of the garment. "Then why does it feel like it's been over a fire?"
She muttered, "Hanse gave it to me..." Thereafter turned her gaze away from Yuki like a child trying avoid a lecture.
There was a long pause on Yuki's end, his eyes grew wide and he looked from the hut he'd shoved her into and then back to Hitsu. "Wh-what did you say...?"
"Hanse." She repeated, though not much louder. "I forgot to give it back."

Atticus didn't respond to Yuki's retort. He could say he wasn't angry all he wanted, that didn't change the fact that his voice spoke through his lie. In that same way, he also saw the look in Yuki's eyes. "If worst comes to worst, I'll kill her." He said coldly. Sure, he may say that he'd kill her... But he wasn't sure if he could actually go through with it. With each action, there would be a consequence... Either side of this dilemma didn't hold him high in favor.
His eyes followed the unfamiliar voice's origin as he spotted a young lady coming from the direction of the other huts. "Really depends on your definition of okay, I suppose."
As they went into some spout about some 'man' named Hanse, his attention returned to the sleeping girl on the ground.
"Normalcy... Is a concept that has been all but... Alien to me until now." Riyo's voice was much softer than it had been just minutes before. Her eyes cracked open slightly to look at Atticus. "Happiness, sadness, hate, love... As cliche as it is, I don't think I'd want to live without any of them now... A full life. The good and the bad.... The world... Looks so beautiful." She may not have been able to stand at the moment, or really do anything but talk and breathe, but from what she could see down there on the ground. Noticing the natural colors of everything around her... It really was pretty.
Little red tears started dripping out of her eyes and onto the dirt. "W-why am I crying? I thought... I was happy..."
"Guess that answers the question of who won." Was Atticus's only response.

"Hanse?" Yuki had repeated worriedly, mentally trying to calculate the likeliness that there could be a second person by that name in this area. God, he hoped so.
Their argument and the 'secret' guest were temporarily forgotten when Riyo spoke. Both fell completely silent, and swiftly turned their attention to her. Her articulation was perfect, it was no lie that the Riyo that they had known was no more. However, the soft voice assured them that the innocent side was still in there. Just... Along with the bad. This merging, it had apparently occurred, and in the favor of the child. This was the medium, and the first few moments made it look very promising.
Yuki was relieved, that Atticus or any other didn't have to carry through with any violence from the way it looked now. He hesitated a moment, recalling how violently she had shoved him away only minutes before. Then, hoping that her anger had subsided, he bent down to offer her his hand. Whether she'd take it or not, if she was able, was up to her. "Welcome back, Riyo." New Riyo or not, it was still Riyo after all.
Hitsu watched and listened from where she stood, and offered an explanation when Riyo questioned her own emotions. "Sometimes you cry when you're happy, too." She said, "That's probably what's happening to you now."

For a moment, Blade turned his attention towards Yuki and Hitsu, who had returned. There was something about some guy named Hanse, who he didn't know. But apparently whoever it was, he was probably not too far away if the girl had gotten the cloak from him.
Upon hearing Riyo's voice, he turned his attention back to her, finding that she had awakened. She sounded different from the way she was a few minutes ago, which was probably a good sign. The words she spoke were certainly not what he expected to hear, but it wasn't really bad that she said any of that. It at least meant that the dark half had lost this battle... and for now Atticus wouldn't have to kill her off.
The thief blinked as the girl began to question her red tears, but then shook his head and crouched down by her. She sounded alright, but he just wanted to check if she was the same physically.
"She's right; being sad or angry aren't the only times people cry," he said quietly before glancing up at Atticus, "Do you think the dark side or demon will come back to her?"

Hanse had almost forgotten that he had given Hitsu his cloak, but he shrugged lightly as he laid back against the wall in the hut. "Oh well... I'm sure I can find another cloak to wear in." He slowly put his hands behind his head as he closed his eyes. "At least things calmed down without too much trouble it seems." He sighed lightly, "Too much excitement with too little sleep." His breathing deepened as his focused his energy to increase the temperature inside of the hut once again, bringing the overall temperature close to burning, "Mmm, comfortable."

Having put her weapon back in it's hold once the danger had pased she listened to the violin melody, it's sound erasing the fear she had experienced moments before. She saw the man come out from behind a hut, ahd she remembered him from the inn before.
He introduced himself, and listened to the story he was telling. She was sure parts of it had some truth, but couldn't be too sure about it. It wasn't fair to label people as cursed, she thought. As for the idea of riyo be different from now on....
she heard riyo speak again, and she definately sounded different. Her speech was perfect this time, and it was so soft...
poke didn't know what to say to riyo. What could she say to her? she had no idea how she would react now. Though, at least it seemed she wasn't evil anymore, so hopefully this would work out for the best.

"How... Confusing..." Was Riyo's simple response to everyone's assurance that it was completely normal. She didn't take Yuki's hand, because by the time she'd pushed out those last words, she was fast asleep again. Wreaking havoc then trying to stop yourself was a hard day's work, after all.
Atticus's first desired response to Blade's question was to slap him on the side of the head, but he refrained and simply raised an eyebrow. "You must've missed something. I did just say they were one in the same now, right? Whether she wants to pick flowers or slaughter a field of horses is really up to her anymore." He reached into his pocket and drew out a match. He struck it against the bottom of his boot and lit his pipe without a second thought. "She is, and will always be, a demon. Nothing can change it. Sure, she's got all those happy feelings that make you want to hug soft animals and find true love or whatever that bullshit was... But there's also those little urges to do 'bad' things."
He took a puff and looked down. It was amusing how his face never changed from that neutral expression. "Though, women are batshit insane anyways. Which is what makes this so ironic. She was the only female born in her bloodline. I'm thinking that wasn't accidental." He took a glance at Poke and Hitsu. "No offense intended, of course."

"Right.."
So basically it sounded like Riyo was just like anyone else now, since everyone had their more innocent or darker urges... though just how extreme they were varied considerably depending on the person. Glancing back down, he noticed that she was back to sleeping for now, so he looked back up at Atticus. It was a bit creepy in a way how he managed to keep a completely neutral look no matter what he said.
"Which means you still need to keep an eye on her then. But at least if she does get more of the darker urges, this should mean it might be a little easier to talk her out of it right?"
Maybe not if she really wanted to go through with it, but I would hope it'd be a little easier to reason with her... considering there was pretty much no reasoning with the dark side before it seemed.

poke could almost roll her eyes at this guy, but could also see the truth in his words. She wasn't fool enough to belive she wasn't capabel of evil, but it didn't mean she was evil.
"how about we wait and see how she acts from now on?" she said. "that way we'll know for sure"
at the comment of being "batshit insane" she looked pretty annoyed, but netherless said "non taken" and did nothing else

Yuki could only chuckle lightly, crouching down next to the sleeping Riyo. "We should move her, shouldn't we?" Not to say they wouldn't most likely be sleeping on the ground, but it was damp and cold out here. He looked up to Atticus as he explained the 'new' Riyo to Blade, shrugging lightly. "Everyone has the urge to do unpleasant things... It's normal. Whether you go through with them or not, and the degree of how evil your actions are is all that matters." When it came to his opinion on the subject, anyway.
Hitsu listened up to the point of Atticus' lovely statement of the mental state of women, in which she frowned. She didn't even know him, and he was going to assume that of the entire gender? In front of two of them, no less? She didn't say a word to Atticus, or anyone at first, and simply turned her back to them quietly and started to walk away.
Yuki, of course, was the first to notice. "Hey. Where are you going?"
She paused. "I'm going to give Hanse his cloak back." She said, in a forced calm tone.
"I want you to stay out he-" He began to protest, but she cut him off.
"I said I'm going to give it back." She stated firmly, and continued on her way.
He stared for a moment as she walked off, then looked to Atticus with a displeased expression. "I think that little opinion of yours pissed her off. You might want to put a filter somewhere between your brain and your mouth, or you're just going to make yourself look like a dickwad." He paused for a moment, then added. "Aside from just now."
-----
Once she'd reached the hut again, Hitsu had begun to notice a warmth emanating from the doorway. Just how well the remains of that cloth held heat back were quickly realized, when she too hastily shoved it aside and was met with an intense wave of heat. It didn't hurt, but it was a very high jump in temperature compared to outside. She gave a startled shout, and stepped back from the door as she shielded her watering eyes.
-----
Hearing his sister's cry, Yuki turned in time to see her staggering back. "Hitsu!?" Due to her distance away, he assumed that the situation was more serious than it really was, and was swiftly rushing toward the hut to see what was wrong.

Hanse slowly opened one of his eyes while grumbling some, "Now what are they doing?" he said to himself. He saw through the tattered remains of the cloth hanging in the doorway to see Hitsu staggering back; he figured because she moved it aside to come back inside for some reason. He grumbled still and stood up as he held his hand out to no one. However, in the center of his hand, about two inches above his flesh, a soft light began to glow; Hanse was pulling all of the heat back to a specific source, this time, the area right above his hand. After just a few seconds of super concentrating the heat, the air above his hand caught fire. By now, the general temperature of the room had decreased to something more akin to a small area with a fireplace that had been burning for awhile.

"What on earth?" She murmured, before looking toward Yuki. "I'm fine. It was just... Hot in there." Hitsu stared at the cloth blocking the door a moment, curiously gazing toward the faint glow coming from inside.
Yuki paused alongside her, and grimaced. The possibility that this wasn't going to be who he presumed was looking very unlikely. No sooner could he think this, his sister had made a second attempt to go inside. "What are you-?" He made a worrisome groan, and reluctantly followed in case he would be a threat this time around.
Carefully, she'd moved the cloth aside again, trying to avoid the full force of a wave of heat that did not come quite so brutally as it had before. Upon entry, she first noticed the flame in Hanse's hand, but apparently didn't find it threatening. Yuki, however, upon notice of this along with the dragon's confirmed identity came to a sudden halt in the doorway. Hitsu stepped rather timidly up to Hanse and held the cloak out to him once she'd removed it, "Sorry... I forgot to give it back."

"That's up to you." Atticus said at Yuki's question on whether or not to move the sleeping girl. It seemed that everyone in this group had some philosophical reasoning regarding people and actions and bla bla bla. Atticus didn't really pay any attention. He'd heard it all. It didn't really matter to him one way or another.
Oops, looked like he had offended one of them. Dickwad? Even for him that was a new one. An unwanted image of what exactly a dickwad would look like struck his mind, but he kept his cringe on the inside. "I said 'no offense'" He gave a slight shrug as he spoke. He didn't care about the feelings of others because he, quite obviously, had none of his own.
His eyes were on the two as one chased after another, then back on Riyo. Of course, she had enough feelings for the both of them. He knew this, since all of those spouts she'd been having gave him intense headaches. He wouldn't have sought her out had it not been for his discomfort. Because, for once, he'd wanted to live for himself... And live a life longer than his mid-20's.

deciding to forget attricus comment, she noticed hitsu wander off to a hut and decided to follow at a distance. Upon geeting to the hut and looking inside, she was turned away from a blast of heat, and had to wait untill it had disapated. When she looked inside, she realised who it was "hey, thats the dragon dude we saw before!" she stated. Upon seeing yuki and hitsu enter the hut, she opted to stay outside the door. It seemed crowded and, she still wasn't sure what to make of this guy. But from how yuki was acting, she guessed he had seen him before as well. She wondered where he had seen him

"They'll get over it... I think.." he said after Atticus had spoken up.
Blade glanced towards some of the others as they went towards one of the huts. He supposed that's where Hanse was right now. And while he was curious as to who this guy was, he felt it might be a good idea to look around for a hut or two that didn't have any... inhabitants. They'd probably have to find at least two huts for everyone to have adequate space without feeling too cramped.
Standing up straight, he rubbed his right shoulder lightly before moving towards the nearest hut that wasn't the one with Riyo's mother inside. Pushing open the door slightly, he peeked inside.
((I'm not completely sure how likely it'd be to find bodies inside the huts, so I'll leave that to Riyo? o.o))
