Looking like she really didn't want to say anything, Myyth wrinked her nose further before replying.

"You remember the deal I made with the Vixen, in order to get them out of you?" Rather gald he was sitting down, Myyth looked for the words to explain her decision.

"She named her price, and I've agreed to it........." Pausing again for a moment she wondered if she should give him some carpshot story till she knew he was better.....just because she was coping so far, didn't mean he would.

"I'm pregnant, to start." A thought came to mind as myyth continued to tell Omki. Getting her help had been a bit too easy this time.... Bloodly creature must have known before she had. That or she was being paranoid.

"And the Vixen wants the child to go to her people, as her price for her help."

"Your child or no, it goes to her. I'm not risking us both and and the child. The last time this happened it ended far worse than we thought possible. I was sterile, Maria is dead, and She still has Peter. And that wasn't even an outright refusal." Myyth snorted and looked away, knowing he wasn't going to get it. She played with fire once, and she'd lost the best people in her life over it. She wasn't doing it again.

"This is a creature that just ripped a pair of anceint demons out of you, without breaking a sweat. You want to toy with that?"

"Omki, you don't get it. I'm not risking all our lives over who will raise this child. Even if she hadn't demanded the child, I would be strongly considering taking her to what's left of my family to be raised. Like mother like daughter, my mom might say, but in this I agree with her. Females of my line don't parent well, and spend their second trimestser throwing up."

Myyth shook out her fur and continued to look away. "The latter has already come to pass, which is why I'm not form shifting."

"A child is somthing you give everything for, so they can have and be the best possible. The Vixen will have her as her own, and she'll be raised as such." Myyth shook her head and looked at Omki.

"We could never give her that. The Vixen is giving her to Peter to raise. He'll treat her like the one we might have had, had everything not fallen apart. And she'll be defended as such. Unless you want to found a very well connected cult, and have it up an running in a couple months, we can't compete with that."

Watching him walk off Myyth had to sit and brood for a moment. She knew what she had to do, and for now Omki seemed be going along with it..... But it wasn't like him to give up so easily. Looking down the hall, she thought of her lab for a moment. She'd crack it open in the morning, and make a few calls.

Until then however, she going to be sleeping on the couch. They both had brooding to do.

Waking up the next day Myyth lay on the couch wondering where she was for a bit, before deciding to open her eys and find out. Seeing the TV in front of her and the really bad dry wall, brought back the last couple days to her. Which made her want to groan, and go back to sleep for a couple years. But she was awake now, and had stuff to do. Like open her lab up, call Peter and see whether or not she could keep food down.

Standing up on the couch, Myyth streched out, from her nose to the tip of her tail. Yawning widely, she flicked her ears around. It didn't sound like Omki was up yet. Probably for the best. Getting off teh couch she walked down the hall, and then down stairs to her lab. Useing the retina scanner she let herself in, but left the door open a bit. In the supply cabinet she'd left a house coat quite a while before. So she shifed into her human form and put it on.

Which made her instantly glad she hadn't eat since the day before, as the nausea came back. Glancing around she was happy to see most of the lab seemed OK. The wolf's bane was growing a bit out of control, but the other plants semed alright. Now she had to decide what to do. Should she call Peter, and see if he knew. She should. Omki was taking this worse than she'd hoped, so Peter needed to know what he was getting into.

Picking up the phone she had linked to her computer, she dialed a rather long, international number.
