Back where Gold says what happens to the ones who went through the wrong door. It says they were eaten and their bodies destroyed and they have to wait in Afterlife for 48 hours before they can come back in a new body.

However, I disagree, both with what Gold says and something he did. He says that it can be your same character but in a different body. I have always believed from the time I started here, that if you die, you can come back if your body is in reasonable condition. However, if your body is missing vital organs or is just to destroyed to be able to support life, or if it was totally destroyed, then your character could not come back. I remember reading nothing about coming back in a shiny new body. I thought you could keep your chakra, and your techniques if you wish, but you had to make a new character. No coming back and just picking up where you left off. I mean if you can come back no matter what happens, what the hell is the point? Gold brought back Emulous who's body was ripped to shreds. If this was done through an exam, thats one thing, the rules are a bit different, but if it was in a regular fight, he shouldn't have been able to do that. I know exams can have special rules, and perhaps I'm misunderstanding what he is saying, but it sounds to me like Gold is saying you can come back like this whenever, and I do not hold this to be true. If thats the case I think I'll go take over Leaf. I mean, no one can stop me. All they can do is kill me. Then I'll just come back to life and pick up where I left off. I was under the impression that you had to create a new and separate character and RP them as such.

Show me where that is in the rules and I'll drop it.

The only rule I recall reading is that if your body is destroyed you cannot return.

I know, thats what I'm saying. I was under the impression you had to RP as a different character. Like Emulous, could no longer be Emulous. He had to be like Bob Miyanari, a shinobi new to the world who knows no one and more importantly has no vendettas or schemes that a dead shinobi known as Emulous would have. stare

The memory thing is if you come back if your body is not destroyed. If your body is destroyed, then your character is GONE! If Yuan is killed and his body destroyed then he is GONE. NO MORE. LITERALLY DEAD. No rebirth, no coming back in a new body. Just dead. And I would have to take his chakra and create a new character who knows nothing about a man named Yuan.

I'm not talking about you. I'm trying to establish the rules.

Valk: The Handbook says nothing about trying to come back as the same person if your body is destroyed. It just tells you what you must do if you want to change clans after death and create a new character.
